Abstract:Abstrak - Penggunaan jaringan komputer sangat penting dalam instansi ataupun perusahaan. Menentukan bagaimana suatu instansi atau perusahaan maju dan berkembang dibutuhkan kinerja yang baik ketika menggunakan Jaringan Komputer, Kecepatan penerimaan data informasi dan komunikasi sangat dibutuhkan dan dapat diandalkan bagi banyak pengguna. Dengan banyak nya penggunaan dalam sebuah instansi atau perusaahan penggunaan jaringan salah satu perusahaan atau instansi yang sudah menjadikan internet sebagai kebutuhan utama yaitu pada Dinas Perhubungan Gedebage Kota Bandung yang beralamat di Jl.Sor GBLA,Rancabolang.kec. Gedebage, Kota Bandung ,Jawa Barat 40292. hal yang menggangu saat penggunaan internet terjadinya koneksi yang tidak stabil sering terjadi down dan sering eror terputus secara tiba-tiba dengan sendiri nya dan mengalami kendala pada router utama yaitu mati atau rusak dan terlepas dari portnya dikarenakan masih menggunakan satu router saja tidak ada backup jika router utama mengalami gangguan.maka dari itu harus adanya backup router untuk mengatasi hal tersebut yaitu dengan menrapkan nya metode VRRP (Virtual Router Redundancy Protocol).Kata kunci : VRRP, Mikrotik, Internet, Router Abstract - The use of computer networks is very important in agencies or companies.
