Abstract:We consider the 5-mass kite family of self-energy Feynman integrals and present a systematic approach for constructing an ε -form basis, along with its differential equation pulled back onto the moduli space of two tori. Each torus is associated with one of the two distinct elliptic curves this family depends on. We demonstrate how the locations of relevant punctures, which are required to parametrize the full image of the kinematic space onto this moduli space, can be extracted from integrals over maximal cuts. A boundary value is provided such that the differential equation is systematically solved in terms of iterated integrals over g -kernels and modular forms. Then, the numerical evaluation of the master integrals is discussed, and important challenges in that regard are emphasized. In an appendix, we introduce new relations between g -kernels.

Abstract:This work deals with two types of Feynman integrals in perturbative quantum field theory: the 2-loop 2-point kite, with 5 arbitrary internal masses, and its completion by a sixth propagator, to give a 3-loop tetrahedral tadpole, with 6 arbitrary masses. These general-mass cases cover broken and unbroken gauge theories, based on the Lie algebras U(1), SU(2) and SU(3), for the electromagnetic, weak and strong interactions. The elliptic substructure of these integrals should not be regarded as an obstruction. Rather, it is a bonus, thanks to the arithmetic-geometric mean of Gauss. Compact formulae are given, to handle all cases. Zero-mass limits are carefully considered. Anomalous thresholds of triangles in the kite pose no problem. The number theory of tadpoles is investigated, with intriguing results.

Abstract:We investigate \emph{singular} symmetric and Kähler--Einstein Fano polytopes. More precisely, we show that every symmetric Fano polytope is Kähler--Einstein generalizing the work by Batyrev and Selivanova, and study the automorphism groups of symmetric and Kähler--Einstein Fano polygons in detail. In particular, every finte subgroup of $GL_2(\mathbb{Z})$ is an automorphism group of a Kähler--Einstein Fano polygon.

Abstract:We continue studying a parabolic flow of almost Kähler structures introduced by Streets and Tian which naturally extends Kähler-Ricci flow onto symplectic manifolds. In the system of primarily the symplectic form, almost complex structure, Chern torsion and Chern connection, we establish new formulas for the evolutions of canonical quantities, in particular those related to the Chern connection. Using this, we give an extended characterization of fixed points of the flow originally performed by Streets and Tian.

Abstract:Symplectic and Poisson geometry emerged as a tool to understand the mathematical structure behind classical mechanics. However, due to its huge development over the past century, it has become an independent field of research in differential geometry. In this lecture notes, we will introduce the essential objects and techniques in symplectic geometry (e.g Darboux coordinates, Lagrangian submanifolds, cotangent bundles) and Poisson geometry (e.g symplectic foliations, some examples of Poisson structures). This geometric approach will be motivated by examples from classical physics, and at the end we will explore applications of symplectic and Poisson geometry to Lie theory and other fields of mathematical physics.

Abstract:We describe various approaches to understanding Fukaya categories of cotangent bundles. All of the approaches rely on introducing a suitable class of non-compact Lagrangian submanifolds. We review the work of Nadler-Zaslow [30, 29] and the authors [14], before discussing a new approach using family Floer cohomology [10] and the "wrapped Fukaya category". The latter, inspired by Viterbo's symplectic homology, emphasizes the connection to loop spaces, hence seems particularly suitable when trying to extend the existing theory beyond the simply connected case.

Abstract:Kontsevich designed a scheme to generate infinitesimal symmetries $\dot{\mathcal{P}} = \mathcal{Q}(\mathcal{P})$ of Poisson brackets $\mathcal{P}$ on all affine manifolds $M^r$; every such deformation is encoded by oriented graphs on $n+2$ vertices and $2n$ edges. In particular, these symmetries can be obtained by orienting sums of non-oriented graphs $\gamma$ on $n$ vertices and $2n-2$ edges. The bi-vector flow $\dot{\mathcal{P}} = \text{Or}(\gamma)(\mathcal{P})$ preserves the space of Poisson structures if $\gamma$ is a cocycle with respect to the vertex-expanding differential in the graph complex. A class of such cocycles $\boldsymbol{\gamma}_{2\ell+1}$ is known to exist: marked by $\ell \in \mathbb{N}$, each of them contains a $(2\ell+1)$-gon wheel with a nonzero coefficient. At $\ell=1$ the tetrahedron $\boldsymbol{\gamma}_3$ itself is a cocycle; at $\ell=2$ the Kontsevich--Willwacher pentagon-wheel cocycle $\boldsymbol{\gamma}_5$ consists of two graphs. Abstract:By using moving frames and directred digraphs, we study invariant (1,2)-symplectic structures on complex Rag manifolds. Let F be a Rag manifold with height k - 1. We show that there is a k-dimensional family of invariant (1,2)-symplectic metrics of any parabolic structure on F. We also prove any invariant almost complex structure J on F with height 4 admits an invariant (1,2)-symplectic metric if and only ii J is parabolic or integrable.

Abstract:The multisymplectic structure of the KP equation is obtained directly from the variational principal. Using the covariant De Donder-Weyl Hamilton function theories, we reformulate the KP equation to the multisymplectic form which proposed by Bridges. From the multisymplectic equation, we can derive a multisymplectic numerical scheme of the KP equation which can be simplified to multisymplectic forty-five points scheme.

On Kite Central Configurations

Abstract:We study kite central configurations in the Newtonian four-body problem. We present a new proof that there exists a unique convex kite central configuration for a given choice of positive masses and a particular ordering of the bodies. Our proof uses tools from differential topology (e.g., the Poincaré-Hopf Index Theorem) and computational algebraic geometry (e.g., Gröbner bases). We also discuss concave kite central configurations, including degenerate examples and bifurcations. Finally, we numerically explore the linear stability of the corresponding kite relative equilibria, finding that the heaviest body must be at least 25 times larger than the combined masses of the other three bodies in order to be linearly stable.

Having called Z∼ and Y∼ , respectively, the minimal resolutions of the quotient surfaces Z=X/τ2 and Y=X/τ , we also describe the maps induced in cohomology by the rational quotient maps X→Z∼,X→Y∼ and Y∼→Z∼ : With this knowledge, we are able to give a lattice‐theoretic characterization of Z∼ , and find the relation between the Néron–Severi lattices of X,Z∼ and Y∼ in the projective case. We also produce three different projective models for X,Z∼ and Y∼ , each associated to a different polarization of degree 4 on X .

Abstract:The configuration space of tricycles (triples of disks in contact) is shown to coincide with the complex plane resulting as a projective space costructed from the tangency and Pauli spinors. Remarkably, the fractal of the depth functions assumes a particularly simple and elegant form. Moreover, the factor space due to a certain symmetry group provides a parametrization of the Apollonian disk packings.

Abstract:We use time-independent incomplete Hamiltonian flows to excise interesting closed subsets of positive codimension from symplectic manifolds. Examples of such subsets include what we call a "Cantor brush", a "box with a tail", and -- more generally -- epigraphs of lower semicontinuous functions. This answers a question of Alan Weinstein about excision of a ray, and it generalizes a result of Bernd Stratmann about excision of the product of a ray with a manifold.

Abstract:In this work, we study the two main symmetries for the one-dimensional generalised KPZ equation (gKPZ): the chain rule and the Itô Isometry. We consider the equation in the full-subcritical regimes and use multi-indices that avoid an over-parametrization of the renormalised equation to compute the dimension of the two spaces associated with these two symmetries. Our proof is quite elementary and shows that multi-indices provide in this case a simplification in comparison to the results obtained via decorated trees.
