Abstract:In this brief communication, we highlight several critical inaccuracies in the paper entitled “A novel methodology for a time-delayed controller to prevent nonlinear system oscillations,” identified by the DOI: 10.1177/14613484231195276. The core of the non-perturbative approach discussed in this paper is the introduction of a trial solution with an indeterminate nonlinear frequency. We elucidate the technical missteps and provide necessary corrections. The scrutinized article presents ample opportunities for enhancement, and we propose several amendments. Additionally, we reveal that the numerical outcomes showcased in the mentioned paper expose deficiencies in the proposed approximate solution. With the amendments implemented herein, a more precise numerical solution is achieved.

Abstract:In this paper, an iterative learning control algorithm is proposed for discrete linear time-varying systems to track iteration-varying desired trajectories. A high-order internal model (HOIM) is utilized to describe the variation of desired trajectories in the iteration domain. In the sequel, the HOIM is incorporated into the design of learning gains. The learning convergence in the iteration axis can be guaranteed with rigorous proof. The simulation results with permanent magnet linear motors (PMLM) demonstrate that the proposed HOIM based approach yields good performance and achieves perfect tracking.

Abstract:In this article, the issue of adaptive control design with full error constraints for multi-input and multi-output nonlinear systems is investigated. By combining nonlinear filters and an adaptive back-stepping control scheme, a novel dynamic surface control (DSC) scheme is presented. Different from the DSC scheme with the traditional linear filter, the proposed DSC not only solves the inherent problem of computational complexity explosion, but also enhances the control property. In addition, in order to further enhance the tracking performance understructure the fixed-time prescribed performance, a novel barrier Lyapunov function is proposed by considering the transform error constraint based on the fixed-time prescribed performance functions. The design control scheme can ensure that all the dynamic errors can be converged in predefined bounds within a fixed time. By choosing the barrier Lyapunov function, the stability of the closed-loop system is proof. Finally, the validity and innovation of the proposed strategy are verified by numerical practical simulation examples.
