Clinical Study on Combining Interferon and HIFU to Treat Severe Cervical Erosion

Abstract:【Objective】To study the effect of combining interferon (INF) and HIFU to treat severe cervical erosion. 【Methods】Prospective, random, and control study was progressed in eighty patients with severe ervical erosion. Before carrying out HIFU to these patients, all women are performed HPV immunofluorescence detection. Among these patients, forty women were assigned to be studying group in which the patients were added to use INF for three courses of treatment after HIFU. The other forty women who carried out HIFU simply was assigned to be the control group. All patients were examined by Gynecologic examination and vaginoscopy in the first, third, sixth month after treating. These patients who were detected HPV infection are performed HPV immunofluorescence detection in the third, sixth month after treating. 【Results】In the studying group, the cure rate was 65%, 82.5%, 96% in the first, third, six month after treating. In the control group, the cure rate was 62.5%, 75%, 80%. In the studying group, 13 women were positive detected by HPV immunofluorescence detection before treating, among these women 11 were negative detected by immunofluorescence when HIFU ended 3 month. All these women were negative detected when HIFU ended 6 month. In the control group, 14 women were positive detected, 11 women were negative detected when HIFU ended 3 month, 13 woman was negative detected when HIFU ended 6 month. The difference was distinguished when we compared the cure rate between the studying group and the control group. 【Conclusion】 Combining INF and HIFU to treat severe cervical erosion can raise the one rate of the patients.
