Abstract:Hi-Lo microstrip low-pass filter’s structure is simple and it is easy to processing.The conductor strip of the filter can be directly printed on the thin medium.So this type of filter is often used in the system as a frequency selective component to reject interference signal and harmonic signal.In this paper,according to the basic principle of transmission line,a X-band low-pass filter is designed to filter the secondary harmonic signal of 11GHz local oscillator signal.The filter is designed and simulated by electromagnetic simulation software HFSS.After optimization,the band rejection of 22GHz frequency can reach-38dB and the VSWR of 11GHz frequency can reach 1.13.The size of the final filter is 14mm 6mm 0.508mm.We made a real object and tested its properties,the test result can almost satisfy the requirement of the system.

Abstract:Traditionally,we use theoretical formula to obtain some correlative parameter when designing a digital filter.But,in this way,it can′t bring any visual cognition to the actual result of the filter.So it is impossible that optimizing the parameter according to the actual result.In order to solve this question,the paper presents a design method for FIR digital filter based on MATLAB and QuartusⅡ.And through this example it gives the design flow.The result of the software and hardware simulation is analyzed by using of MATLAB and QuartusⅡ.It can easily check up the results and advance the efficiency of the design.

Abstract:Aiming at shortcomings of traditional finite impulse response(FIR)filter design method and neural network design method,a hardware implementation method of FIR filter based on improved support vector machine (SVM)design method is proposed.Using the amplitude response of the ideal filter to train the SVM,the training parameters are optimized and the embedded system based on the FIR filter of SVM is constructed. Software implements the FIR filter's training part and hardware implements the FIR filter's testing part.The time of one test is about 3 500 ns,and the filtering accuracy can reach 98. 41 %. The proposed filter has a good amplitude-frequency characteristic;the boundary control is accurate.

Conversely,the design of filter parameters under certain standards,can obtain the optimal results. In this paper,with the help of MATLAB software toolbox,using three different methods designs FIR digital filter,and the comparison of their advantages and disadvantages are also made.

Abstract:FIR filter is widely used in the fields of signal processing with high fidelity. In the design of FIR filter the traditional algorithm such as serial DA algorithm, parallel DA algorithm and combined series and parallel DA algorithm are all not so suitable, which has lots of shortcomings. In this design, we improve the DA algorithm and uses the 4-BAAT method which optimizes the structure of LUT(look-up table) to realize the FIR filter. The process of FIR simple tap coefficients is achieved by the operation of shifting and reversing of symbol bit, which can pick up the speed and save the logic resources. This design adopts the Verilog HDL language, using FDA Tool to determine and quantify the coefficients with the given filter parameters. Then it uses Quartus 118.0 to integrate and wire, and Modelsim to simulate and verify. Compared with the filter achieved by standard DA algorithm, this filter reduces complexity, saves logic resources and picks up the speed besides it has the advantages of good reconfiguration, simple hardware structure and high real-time.

Abstract:Abstract With the rapid development of electronic technology, the filter circuit has been widely used in various occasions. Therefore, based on the study of various analog filter circuit principles, this paper users the Multisim simulation platform to design the corresponding low-pass and band-pass filters. In order to verify the performance of the filter circuit, the normal signal, noise signal and filter output signal are respectively observed by oscilloscope after noise is introduced, and then the performance is analyzed according to the waveform and parameters. The experimental results show that all the designed filters can achieve good filtering effect.

Abstract:Digital signal processing (DSP) circuits are extremely important in computing and communications areas. One application of DSP is a Finite impulse response (FIR) filter. The principle objective of this exploration is to present a methodology for an upgraded framework of a FIR digital filter from software level to the hardware level. It includes the selection of design method, structure and cost effective hardware utilization. Theoretical and experimental results performed FIR band pass filter suggests that the window design method is relatively simple and easy to use because of the availability of well-defined equation. Comparison presented that Kaiser window gives the minimum main-lobe width and a sharp cut-off which means this window has less transition width and the study showed that the Direct-Form structure approach is simpler and offers a better performance than other common filter structures. It results in low cost, reduced area and more robust to withstand the quantization errors. For efficient hardware realization, the paper investigates the impacts of quantization on frequency response by progressively diminishing the quantity of bits in every coefficient using an iterative algorithm to a level where its frequency response matches to the novel requirements. Experimental study of coefficient quantization uncovers a connection between the quantity of bits, number of coefficients and the frequency response that consequence in reduced area and better speed. The synthesis results show that the discussed technique can substantial help in lessening the equipment assets. Computer aided design (CAD) tools are used to implement the design by adopting the behavioural level design method.

Abstract:Phase shifter is widely applied in some area, including communication and radar. In the study, the principle of broadband analog phase shifter on I-Q modulating is introduced, which is validated by the theory design using Ansoft serenade. The microwave phase shifter on I-Q modulating broadband is simulated and the corresponding entity is designed. Finally, some test are done to the phase shifter, and we sum up the design experience, all those can provide some design experience with the engineers.

Abstract:Repetitive controllers (RCs) are linear control structures based on the internal model principle. This control strategy is known for its ability to control periodic reference signals, even if these signals have many harmonic components. Despite being a solution that results in a good performance, several parameters of the repetitive controller need to be correctly tuned to guarantee its stability. Among these parameters, one that has high impact on the system performance and stability is the finite impulse response (FIR) filter, which is usually used to increase the stability domain of RC-based controllers. In this context, this paper presents a complete tutorial for designing the zero-phase FIR filter, which is often used to stabilize control systems that use RC-based controllers. In addition, this paper presents a Matlab® application developed for performing the stability analysis of RC systems and designing its FIR filter. Simulation and experimental results of a shunt active power filter are used to validate the algorithm and the Matlab® application.

Abstract:In this paper, the robust finite impulse response FIR and infinite impulse response IIR filter design problem for uncertain multirate systems under wireless communication channel are investigated. A periodic system model is used to characterise the multirate nature and therefore, the uncertain cases can be dealt with easily. Both the FIR and IIR filter can be designed by solving a set of linear matrix inequalities. Finally, a numerical example is given to show the effectiveness of the FIR and IIR filters.

Abstract:Filters plays vital role in digital signal processing for filtering the signal and get filtered signal from the noisy signal Measured signal is damaged by noise and this signal cannot be utilized for analysis and for this reason it is required to restore it. Noise source was not detected. Therefore, the only conceivable solution is to filter the observed signal. We designed the IIR and FIR filter combined circuit after that we add random noise in the signal and in MATLAB software we get filtered signal from the noisy signal and we get the desired result by MATLAB software in simulation environment in the lab.

Abstract:In this article we consider two problems: FIR (Finite Impulse Response) approximation of IIR (Infinite Impulse Response) filters and inverse FIR filtering of FIR or IIR filters. By means of Kalman-Yakubovich-Popov (KYP) lemma and its generalization (GKYP), the problems are reduced to semidefinite programming described in linear matrix inequalities (LMIs). MATLAB codes for these design methods are given. An design example shows the effectiveness of these methods.

Abstract:Microwave filters are the indispensable part of modern wireless communications, microwave satellite communications and electronic against systems. The advantages of microstrip Band Pass Filter (BPF) are that it is easy in integrating with other RF circuits, that convenient in designing, that small in size and that low in insertion loss. So, it is widely used in RF circuits. This paper will design two types of microstrip BPF, one is the narrow-band BPF use parallel coupled microstrip with one fourth of a wavelength, and the other one is the board-band BPF use stub lines and connecting lines both with a quarter of a wavelength. The paper also simulates and optimizes the filters with ADS (Advanced Design System). The simulation result can satisfy the demand of design.

Abstract:In the modern electrical system and Digital Television technology, such as communication message, image processing, video and audio frequency signal processing systems, there are often real-time and flexible requirements for meet the demand for the two aspects in the same time. Along with the development of PLD device and EDA technology, the advantages in the performance, cost, flexibility and power consumption had been highlighted the signal processors based on FPGAs have been applied to various signal processing fields. Digital filter is one of the important contents of digital signal process. With its good characteristic of frequency selection in lower order in comparison with FIR, IIR digital filter is widely applied in modern signal processing systems. This paper presents the design and realization of IIR filter based on FPGA. It firstly introduces the application of IIR filter in Digital Television technology, then describes the basic principle and design of IIR filter, also the elementary knowledge of FPGA. Thirdly, according to the characteristic of basic framework of IIR filters, studied the design of IIR filter connected in serial based on FPGA. Furthermore, make the design and simulation come true on platform of Xilinx's ISE and Modelsim software.

Abstract:The Nyquist and SR-Nyquist filters are widely used to realize the zero inter-symbol interference (ISI) transmission, such as the shaping and matched filters of communication systems. However, the zero-ISI assumption results in negative effects for the other filter performance indexes, i.e., the ripple and the attenuation. In fact, the ISI constraint can be relieved to improve the ripple or attenuation performance. Accordingly, this paper puts forward to design a nearly Nyquist FIR filter by the linear programming (LP), which obtains better ripple and attenuation performance at the cost of non-zero ISI. Note that this ISI is controllable in the constraint. Moreover, this paper also employs the spectrum factorization technique to decompose the above nearly Nyquist filter into two nearly SR-Nyquist filter, where an iterative search process is exploited to make a performance trade-off. Besides, the nearly SR-Nyquist filter is applied in the digital down-converter (DDC) and the computer simulation shows a good performance.
