Abstract:This paper deals with the problem of stabilizing a class of uncertain time-delay systems via memoryless linear state feedback control law. The systems under consideration are linear systems with time-varying state and control delays, they also contain time-varying unknown-but-bounded uncertain parameters. A sufficient condition for the stabilizability of the system is derived. It is shown that the solvability of a parametrized algebraic Riccati equation can be used to determine whether the uncertain time-delay system satisfies the sufficient condition. Furthermore, if there exists a positive definite symmetric solution to the Riccati equation, a suitable stabilizing control law can be constructed.

Abstract:The problem of delay-dependent robust stabilization for a class of uncertain linear systems with time-varying delay is investigated. The parameter uncertainty under consideration is norm bounded and possibly time-varying. The time delay considered here is assumed to be size-bounded but otherwise arbitrarily fast time-varying. Based on a special Lyapunov-Krasovakii functional, the delay-dependent stability condition is formulated in terms of linear matrix inequalities. The delay-independent result can be derived as a particular case for certain values of the tuning parameters. A state-feedback control law is also given such that the resultant closed-loop system is stable for admissible uncertainties. Two numerical examples are given to demonstrate the efficiency of the obtained results.

Abstract:The problem of robust stabilizing a class of time-varying time-delay uncertain nonlinear systems is studied in this paper. The systems under consideration are nonlinear systems consisting of feedback linearizable nominal parts and norm-bounded nonlinear uncertain perturbations in states, time-varying time-delay states and control inputs. A sufficient condition for the robust stabilization of such systems is derived, then the sufficient condition is transformed into a Linear Matrix Inequality (LMI) problem. A robust controller, combining feedback linearization technique and quadratic stabilization via linear feedback, is developed such that the obtained closed-loop system is globally stable.

Abstract:This article concerns the stability analysis and design for uncertain stochastic systems with time-varying delays in state and actuator saturation. The parameter uncertainties belong to a convex polytopic set, and the delays are time varying. A sufficient condition is obtained in terms of a priori designed feedback matrix for determining if a given set is in inside the domain of attraction. Using the linear matrix inequality (LMI) approach, an estimate of the domain of attraction is presented. The problem of designing a state feedback controller such that the domain of attraction is enlarged is formulated through solving an optimisation problem with LMI constraints. A numerical example is given to illustrate the effectiveness of the proposed results.

Abstract:We studied the delay-dependent stabilization problem for a class of uncertain singular system with time-delays and saturating controls. Theorems derived give sufficient conditions for delay-dependent stabilization of the singular systems with a combination of saturating controls and multiple time-delays in both state and control; we assumed the delays to be constant bounded but unknown, moreover, the uncertainties are also described to be unknown but bounded and the nonlinear terms included in the systems are fallen into a set. Under these sufficient conditions, the solution of the uncertain singular system is regular, impulse free, and locally asymptotically stable for all admissible uncertainties. Furthermore, the results based on several Linear Matrix Inequalities (LMIs) are developed to guarantee stability and be computed effectively. Finally, we advance an example to demonstrate the superiority of this method.

Abstract:We focus on the problem of robust stability for the linear uncertain multi-time-delay system. Both the systems subjected to unstructured parametric uncertainties and structured parametric are concerned. Based on the fact that if the characteristic roots of a system lie in the left half complex plane then the system is asymptotically stable, several delay-independent asymptotically stable sufficient conditions for linear uncertain multi-time-delay systems are derived. These conditions only rely on the structure of the system; this can lead to reduction in conservatism. Some numerical example examples are given to show the superiority of our results to those in the literature.

Abstract:This paper considered a simultaneous H∞ stabilization problem for a family of linear norm bounded uncertain systems. By using the LMI approach and dynamic state feedback theory, the necessary and sufficient condition for the existence of the desired controller was obtained. The controller can be derived by a convergent iterative algorithm designed in the paper. Finally, a numerical experiment was performed to illustrate the proposed method.

These systems have delays in both state and control input. Through solving a pair of Riccati equations , observer-based feedback controller is obtained. The paper completely solves the robust stabilization problem of systems where the uncertainty satisfies the matching conditions.

Some sufficient conditions for the robust stabilizability are derived fur this class of uncertain systems. Abstract:This paper investigates the robust stabilization of a class of switched positive linear systems. The uncertainties of system models refer to the interval and polytopic uncertainty. By using the multiple linear copositive Lyapunov functions approach and linear programming approache, the robust stabilization of those systems in the autonomous form with uncertainties is studied. Further, the control synthesis of those systems in the non-autonomous form with uncertainties is addressed. Finally, a simulating example illustrates the validity of the design.

Abstract:The problem of robust exponential stabilization for dynamical nonlinear systems with uncertainties and time-varying delay is investigated. Based on the Razumikhin theorem and the Lyapunov function method, the continuous state feedback controllers for the studied systems are proposed and the robust exponential stabilization criterion is established in terms of solutions to the standard Riccati differential equations. Furthermore, a delay-dependent stabilization criterion is derived in terms of a linear matrix inequality and the restriction on the derivative of the delay function is removed. Finally, two numerical examples are presented to demonstrate the validity of the proposed method.

Abstract:This paper considers the problem of robust stabilization for stochastic time-delay systems with convex polytopic uncertainties. Sufficient conditions for the solvability of the problem are obtained by using parameter-independent and parameter-dependent Lyapunov functional, respectively. It is shown that the result derived by a parameter-dependent Lyapunov functional is less conservative. A desired state feedback controller can be designed by solving a set of linear matrix inequalities.

Abstract:The problem of robust stability in the state space model of linear time-varying systems with time-varying parameter uncertainties is considered. The Lyapunov approach is employed to obtain bounds on the uncertain time-varying parameters to guarantee the stability of the system. The robust stability bounds obtained are not necessarily symmetric with respect to the origin in the parameter space and can significantly reduce the conservatism in the previous results. Sufficient conditions for the stability of the steady-state responses of nonlinear systems (especially of piecewise linear systems) subjected to periodic excitations are proposed by using the results derived. Two numerical examples are used to demonstrate the accuracy of the formulation.

Abstract:This paper is concerned with robust stability analysis of second-order linear time-varying (SLTV) systems with time-varying uncertainties (perturbations). With the specific Lyapunov functions, a simple and neat algebraic criterion for testing uniformly asymptotic stability of SLTV systems are derived. Without transformation to a system of first-order equations, the new conditions are imposed directly on the time-varying coefficient matrices of the system. The main feature of the proposed algebraic criterion is that the uncertain coefficient matrices are time-varying and not necessarily symmetric. Finally, the proposed stability conditions are used to design the extending space structures system of the spacecraft. Simulation results are provided to illustrate the convenience and effectiveness of the proposed method.

Abstract:This paper is concerned with the problem of quadratic stabilization based on observer for uncertain systems with time-varying state delay. Two classes of uncertainties are treated. By applying the Lyapunov stability theorem and norm inequalities, we prove several theorems about quadratic stabilization. Firstly, a sufficient condition for the robust asymptotic stabilization of the non-linear fractional-order uncertain system is presented based on direct Lyapunov approach. Abstract:The problem of robust stabilization for a class of uncertain dynamic systems with state and multiple delayed state perturbations is considered. It is assumed that each perturbation of state and time-delayed state is bounded by a linear function with unknown gains. For such uncertain systems, two classes of continuous state feedback controllers are proposed in this paper. Based on Lyapunov stability theory and Lyapunov-Krasovskii function, a robust adaptive feedback controller is proposed. By employing Razumikhin lemma, we also develop a novel nonlinear feedback controller. Both the controllers are completely independent of the time delays and can render the closed-loop systems globally stable in the sense of uniform ultimate boundedness. Finally, a numerical example is given to demonstrate the validity of the results.
