Abstract:In this paper, the problem of robust stabilization of linear uncertain dynamic time_delay systems was studied. By utilizing the Lyapunov' Second Method, a new sufficient condition which conservation is less than that of the results given by others is presented. This condition simplifies the computation and may be in practice.

Abstract:The problem of robust stabilizing a class of time-varying time-delay uncertain nonlinear systems is studied in this paper. The systems under consideration are nonlinear systems consisting of feedback linearizable nominal parts and norm-bounded nonlinear uncertain perturbations in states, time-varying time-delay states and control inputs. A sufficient condition for the robust stabilization of such systems is derived, then the sufficient condition is transformed into a Linear Matrix Inequality (LMI) problem. A robust controller, combining feedback linearization technique and quadratic stabilization via linear feedback, is developed such that the obtained closed-loop system is globally stable.

Abstract:The problem of delay-dependent robust stabilization for a class of uncertain linear systems with time-varying delay is investigated. The parameter uncertainty under consideration is norm bounded and possibly time-varying. The time delay considered here is assumed to be size-bounded but otherwise arbitrarily fast time-varying. Based on a special Lyapunov-Krasovakii functional, the delay-dependent stability condition is formulated in terms of linear matrix inequalities. The delay-independent result can be derived as a particular case for certain values of the tuning parameters. A state-feedback control law is also given such that the resultant closed-loop system is stable for admissible uncertainties. Two numerical examples are given to demonstrate the efficiency of the obtained results.

Abstract:The problem of robust control for discrete time-delay systems with norm-bounded uncertainties was studied. A new sufficient condition of delay-dependent robust stabilizability was derived by introducing a zero formula and free weighting matrices. An explicit expression of the desired controller was also developed based on the solution of linear matrix inequalities (LMIs). Without any system transformation or inequalities to estimate the upper bound of the cross terms in the forward difference of Lyapunov functional, the corresponding conservatism on the stability condition is reduced. Numerical examples are given to illustrate the effectiveness of design procedure.

Abstract:The problem of robust stabilization for uncertain discrete singular time‐delay systems is investigated. The considered systems are subject to norm‐bounded parameter uncertainties and constant time delay. A linear matrix inequality (LMI) condition is proposed for a discrete singular time‐delay system to be regular, causal and stable. With this condition, the problems of robust stability and stabilization are solved. The obtained results are formulated in terms of strict LMIs. An explicit expression of the desired state‐feedback control law is also given, which involves no matrix decomposition. The proposed synthesis method is illustrated by a numerical example. Abstract:The problem of robust stabilization for linear uncertain system with state and control delay was studied, in which the uncertain parameters are unknown and time-varying, but norm is bounded, the delays are also time-varying. The sufficient condition of robust stabilization and design method of the memoryless state feedback stabilizing controller in terms of linear matrix inequalities were given. The obtained result is delay dependent, thus the conversation of design of controller was weakened relatively, there is no restriction for delay rate. The method is simple and easy to implementation and parameter optimization.

The uncertain time-delay systems under consideration are described by state differential equations with time-varying unknown-but-bounded uncertain parameters and delayed state. The delay is assumed to be constant bounded but unknown. Abstract:Some new results of delay-dependent robust stability and stabilization for uncertain linear singular time-delay systems are presented. The parameter uncertainty is assumed to be norm-bounded and possibly time-varying. By using a new Lyapunov-Krasovskii functional which splits the whole delay interval into two subintervals and defines a different energy function on each subinterval, a suitable state feedback control law is obtained, which guarantees the singular time-delay system to be regular, impulse free and robustly stable for all admissible uncertainties. The new delay-dependent criteria are formulated in terms of linear matrix inequalities (LMIs). Numerical example is given to show the effectiveness and less conservativeness of the proposed method.

Abstract:The problem of robust quadratic stabilization for a class of uncertain linear dynamic systems with time-delays in both state and control is discussed in this paper. The uncertain time-delay systems under consideration are described by state differential equations with unknown-but-bounded uncertain parameters that are confined into convex polyhedrons. A new necessary and sufficient condition for the existence of quadratically stabilizing control law and the corresponding synthesis method are derived, the results are given in terms of a set of linear matrix inequalities (LMIs). Finally, numerical examples are presented to demonstrate the effectiveness of the obtained results.

Abstract:The memoryless robust stabilization problem is studied for a class of uncertain linear dynamic systems with time-delays in both state and control. The uncertain time-delay systems under consideration are described by state differential equations with time-varying unknown-but-bounded uncertain parameters. A sufficient condition for the existence of a memoryless robust controller is derived and two methods ave presented for synthesizing robust control laws for uncertain time-delay systems. One is to transform the robust control problem into a standard HCO control problem via the equivalent system transformation, and the control law can be obtained by solving an algebraic Riccati equation (ARE). The other method is to transform the sufficient condition into a linear matrix inequality (LMI) problem and the control law can be obtained by solving the LMI. Finally, a numerical example is presented to show the feasibility of the obtained results.

Abstract:The problems of delay-dependent robust stability and stabilization for discrete singular time-delay systems with norm-bounded uncertainties are investigated in this paper. By introducing some non-positive items to compensate the redundant energy caused by the positive items, an improved Lyapunov functional, namely partial non-positive (PNP) Lyapunov functional, is presented for achieving less conservative results. On the basis of the forward difference of this PNP Lyapunov functional, modified strict linear matrix inequality (LMI)-based delay-dependent conditions are established for the singular time-delay system to be regular, causal and stable. By solving these LMIs, an explicit expression for the desired state-feedback control law is obtained. Finally, numerical examples are given to illustrate that the proposed results are effective and less conservative than the existing ones.

Abstract:In this paper, the robust stability and stabilization problem for a class of linear uncertain neutral systems with time-varying delays is considered. Based on an augmented Lyapunov functional, by employing linear matrix inequality (LMI) technique and free-weighting matrix approach, sufficient conditions for the design of state feedback controller is presented. The derived controller is applied for the robust stabilization of the linear neutral system in the presence of time-varying delays and parameter uncertainties. The results are established in the form of LMI, which can be easily solved by standard numerical software. Finally, numerical examples are presented to demonstrate the validity and less conservatism of the results.

Abstract:We studied the delay-dependent stabilization problem for a class of uncertain singular system with time-delays and saturating controls. Theorems derived give sufficient conditions for delay-dependent stabilization of the singular systems with a combination of saturating controls and multiple time-delays in both state and control; we assumed the delays to be constant bounded but unknown, moreover, the uncertainties are also described to be unknown but bounded and the nonlinear terms included in the systems are fallen into a set. Under these sufficient conditions, the solution of the uncertain singular system is regular, impulse free, and locally asymptotically stable for all admissible uncertainties. Furthermore, the results based on several Linear Matrix Inequalities (LMIs) are developed to guarantee stability and be computed effectively. Finally, we advance an example to demonstrate the superiority of this method.

Abstract:The problem of the delay-dependant robust stability and stabilization is dealt with for a class of Lur'e singular system with state time-delays in this paper. The new concept of generalized robust quadratic stability and generalized robust quadratic stabilization is presented. Furthermore. the sufficient condition of the robust stability and stabilization is also proposed based on linear matrix inequalities. The synthesis problem addressed is to design a memory-less state feedback control law such that the resulting closed-loop system is regular, impulse free and asymptotically stable for all admissible uncertainties.

Abstract:A new design approach of delay-dependent robust stabilizing control for a class of uncertain time-delay systems with time-delay in both state and control variables is provided.A new linear state transformation is first proposed to separate the delay-dependent factors out.The sufficient condition of delay-dependent robust stabilizability is then derived by the Lyapunov-Krasovskii functional method.The results are given in terms of LMI.Numerical examples are presented to show that the proposed results can be less conservative and can be used to deal with small or large delay problems.

Abstract:We focus on the problem of robust stability for the linear uncertain multi-time-delay system. Both the systems subjected to unstructured parametric uncertainties and structured parametric are concerned. Based on the fact that if the characteristic roots of a system lie in the left half complex plane then the system is asymptotically stable, several delay-independent asymptotically stable sufficient conditions for linear uncertain multi-time-delay systems are derived. These conditions only rely on the structure of the system; this can lead to reduction in conservatism. Some numerical example examples are given to show the superiority of our results to those in the literature.

Abstract:The problem of robust stabilisation for uncertain discrete singular systems with time-varying delay is discussed in this article. First, a new delay-distribution-dependent Lyapunov function is established. Then, sufficient conditions are proposed for guaranteeing that the uncertain discrete singular system with time-varying delay has the properties of regularity, causality and stability. Finally, a suitable robust state feedback controller is designed by linear matrix inequality. Numerical examples illustrate that the results derived from the proposed method are less conservative than the existing ones.

Abstract:The robust stabilization problem for uncertain discrete singular time-delay systems is addressed in this paper. In terms of strict linear matrix inequality and a finite Sum inequality, a delay-dependent criterion for the nominal systems to be admissible is obtained. Based on the criterion, a state feedback controller, which guarantees that, for all admissible uncertainties, the resulting closed-loop system is regular, causal and stable, is constructed. An explicit expression for the desired controller is also given. The obtained results include both delay-independent and delay-dependent cases.
