Abstract:Although injection machines have been used extensively in industry, only extruder research has been emphasized. A model of the melt conveying section of injectors was established and analysed by the finite element software. And the velocity distribution in the vertical section as well as the output of the injection machine was derived. Based on the results above, the geometrical parameters of the metering section of the screw were optimized to obtain maximum output and minimum energy consumption. The results, about φ38 screws, demonstrated that the performance of the optimized screw is better than that of the standard screw.

Abstract:In the new fiber carding machine,the roller is a key component which determines the success or failure of the equipment.By analyzing the roller′s supporting form,structure characteristic,motion law,the sinusoidal in the axial stress and torsional loads are simplified to constant axial compression and torsional loads,and the mechanical model of the roller is obtained.The deflection and internal stress formulas are derived and studied using non-moment theory of cylindrical shells,and the minimum thickness under constraint of deflection,stability and strength is obtained,and the conclusion of the reinforcement is not necessary is indicated.The practices indicate that the analysis is correct and efficient,and it has reference significance for similar component design.

Abstract:Under special working conditions, a meshed board at the entrance of the feeder was designed and set to quantitatively control the flow of a superfine material with special properties. For a given aperture size and vibration acceleration, the relations between material flow, flow time and vibration frequency were studied by experiments. And the effect of the dynamic characteristics of the electromagnetic switch on the quantitative controlled material flow was analyzed theoretically. Based on the results of experiment and calculation, a design project of automatic feeder that can realize quantitative control of material flow was designed.

Abstract:Currently, organic waste is still underutilized. If managed properly, it will produce a sale value and can also be used for various purposes. Organic waste that is still underutilized is like palm fronds. In areas especially Kalimantan, oil palm plantations are very common, the harvesting system in oil palm plantations produces fresh fruit bunches (FFB) and waste in the form of palm fronds which are piled up between the oil palm plants (gangan mati). The purpose of this research is to make a machine that can chop oil palm fronds into animal feed. Before making a coconut frond chopping machine, the design and force calculations are made first. The amount of torque obtained is 1,300 kg.f.mm, the motor power used in the initial design is 3 Hp, and the length of the belt used using pulley 1 with a diameter of 100 mm and pulley 2 with a diameter of 150 mm is A55 inch.

Abstract:A study aims to develop a machine that efficiently separates palm oil from the fruit's mesocarp and nut, increasing oil extraction. Stress and deformation analysis using finite element analysis was conducted to ensure machine performance. Results indicate the machine's design and materials support the separation process without cracking or deformation. This study addresses the inefficiencies in the current palm oil milling process, where the coexistence of mesocarp fiber and nut during pressing results in oil loss and nut breakage. To tackle this issue, the research aims to develop a machine that can separate mesocarp fibers from nuts before pressing, enhancing oil extraction and quality. The study involves designing the machine layout, creating schematic drawings, wireframe models, and assessing stress and deformation performance. Solidworks simulation was used to determine stress and deformation points within material properties, dimensions, and applied forces. The maximum stress on the rotating disc was 1.44 MPa, with a total deformation of 9.75 x 10−4 mm. Comparing this to the static component strength against cracking (0.093 MPa) revealed that the disc's material and design can safely with stand loads, preventing deformation during the mesocarp and nut separation process. This innovation promises to increase oil yields and improve oil quality in palm oil milling. Practical applications The separation of mesocarp fiber and nuts using centrifugal force is a feasible method. By removing nuts from the mesh (fiber) prior digestion and oil extraction process, the issue of nut breakage will be completely omitted, and thus the pressure can be further increased to maximize oil yield at the palm oil mill industries. This suggested approach has been demonstrated to produce a large amount of oil with minimal broken kernels. The crude palm oil obtained from this separation process also satisfies industrial standards.

Abstract:China produces a large amount of corn straw after the harvest of staple grains every year. Fodder application of corn straw can reduce the waste of straw resources. Such usage also can guarantee the supply of high-quality coarse fodder for livestock and help the development of husbandry and the increase of production and income of farmers and herdsmen in China. Based on the requirements of livestock for straw feed consumption, the corn straw treatment process engineering was studied, and the overall structure, transmission scheme, and main working components of the corn straw crushing and rubbing filament machine were designed. The equipment was developed with three-dimensional modeling and solid design. Key components were verified through finite element analysis. Finally, a prototype was produced for testing. The experimental results showed that when the moisture content of corn straw was tested to be 20%, the percentage of filamentous straw of the equipment was 97.2%, and the calibrated unit power productivity could reach 82.8 kg/(kW · h). Through experiments, all indicators of the equipment met the relevant technical standards of the straw crushing and rubbing filament machine, providing theoretical basis and technical support for the design of the straw crushing and rubbing filament machine.

Abstract:Abstract For the large demand but low acquisition efficiency of the black olive kernel, the automatic assembly line instead of the traditional artificial olive kernel, automatically complete the shell breaking and kernel, kernel screening. Based on the design requirements of kernel extraction, we determine the overall structure of the olive kernel machine. Focus on analyzing material conveying device and cutting and shell breaking device, in the pipeline design, mainly use vibration disc, linear feeder, sprocket conveyor, pneumatic pressure device and linear screening machine and other institutions. Furthermore, three machining-sized molds were designed for the irregularities of the olive core. Finite element analysis showed that the design organization are reasonable.

Abstract:In the food industry, it is necessary to remove the gas in liquid, in order to prevent the juice from oxidation and prolong guarantee period. At present, vacuum tanks are widely used in beverage productive process to remove air. However, the vacuum tanks are usually bulky and of high energy consumption.In this study, the purposes of degassing pump design are: (1) effectively removing free gas and dissolved gas in liquid, (2) conveying the liquid,(3) more energy efficient than vacuum tank. In this process, numerical method is adopted to simulate the gas-liquid separation with eulerian multiphase model and population balance model(PBM) using the commercial code FLUENT.Structures of pulp pump and gas:liquid cylindrical cyclone separator are used for reference. The degassing pump mainly consists of inlet tube, centrifuge drum, exhaust tube, impeller, volute and outlet tube etc.The numerical simulation results show that there is a huge low pressure area in the center of the drum. Free gas and dissolved gas are separated into the low pressure region under the effect of centrifugal force and local low pressure.Bubble diameter has a great impact on the degassing effect. PBM which considers bubbles coalescence and breakup is adopted here to calculate the diameter of bubbles. The drum diameter has an extremely influence on the inlet pressure of degassing pump. The centrifuge drum is installed in front of impeller, so pre-swirl of the fluid inside impeller inlet is strong. The hydraulic performance of pump slightly declines when centrifuge drum is added in numerical calculation.The degassing pump is in manufacturing and will be tested in future.

Abstract:The ball screw and linear guide are important transmission components of a feed system, and their structure directly influences the static and dynamic characteristics of a machine tool. This study used finite element analysis to analyze the static and dynamic characteristics of the spinning machine with different structural designs. Results showed that the feed system is the key functional component that influences the static and dynamic characteristics of the entire machine. A design method is proposed for the structural optimization of the spinning machine based on the structure of the ball screw and the linear guide. Four three-roller models and five counter-roller models are established. A single-factor analysis method is adopted for the contrastive analysis of the static and dynamic characteristics. Finally, the structure of computer numerical control spinning machine with the optimal feed system structure is optimized. The analysis indicates that the reasonable optimization of the structure of the ball screw and the linear guide can effectively improve the optimization efficiency and substantially improve the static and dynamic characteristics of the computer numerical control spinning machine.

Abstract:To improve the declining performance of a full-feed peanut picking device or solve the mechanical failures that occur due to fluctuations in the feeding rate during operation, the 4HLJI-3000 peanut intelligent picking combine harvester, which is a picking device with a self-adaptive adjustment of the working clearance, was developed as the research object in this study. Moreover, the key components, such as the picking roller, concave plate sieve and clearance adjustment mechanism of the concave plate sieve, were designed and analysed. Through the force analysis of the concave plate sieve of the picking device, the mathematical model of the concave plate sieve displacement of the picking device and feeding rate was obtained. The software system for monitoring, storing and analysing the concave plate sieve displacement of the picking device based on EasyBuilder Pro was designed, and the road monitoring test of displacement variation of concave plate sieve of the picking device and feeding rate was carried out. The linear function, power function, exponential function, quadratic function, compound function, logarithmic function and cubic function fitting were used to perform regression analysis of the test results by using IBM SPSS software. The results showed that the cubic function model had a higher fitting precision, and its determination coefficient was 0.992. Model verification experiments were proposed, and the results showed that the established cubic function model had a good accuracy. The absolute deviation rate ranged from 0 to 4.83%, and the average deviation rate was 2.22%. The deviation rate increased with an increasing feeding rate. The field experiments also proved that there was a cubic function relationship between the feeding rate and concave plate sieve displacement, the measured concave plate sieve displacement deviation rate ranged from 0 to 6.19%, and the average deviation rate was 2.73% compared with the calculated results. This study can provide a reference for the optimization design of the structure of full-feeding picking devices for peanuts and other crops and the intelligent measurement and control of the feeding rates.

Abstract:Biomass energy is a kind of clean and renewable energy, the development and application of straw biomass en-ergy has broad prospects.Crushing is the essential links of straw biomass conversion and utilization, based on analyzing the working principle of biomass grinder, the overall structure of combined straw biomass grinder has designed, and the key parameters of biomass grinder, such as the gap between movable knives and fixed knife, the gap between hammer and tooth plate, the gap between hammer and sieve, the shape of the knife and hammer, and the arrangement of movable knife,hammer and tooth plate have been designed.The using promotion of combined straw biomass grinder can promote the realization of the effective use of straw biomass, while help to solve the problems of straw biomass resource waste and pollution.

Abstract:Based on the analysis of particle motion and the geometric structure of scraper structure, a low-speed and high-precision scraper feeder applied to the jet mill system is developed to solve the problem of the accuracy limitation of the existing feeder under low feeding volume. The scraper profile of the feeder is designed as Archimedes spiral, which realizes the uniform force of particles throughout the scraper and solves the problem of uneven mass flow rate of linear scraper. By selecting a particle size of 150 μm graphite particles as the research object, the feeder performance tests are carried out under different scraper heights and rotating speeds. The results show that the scraper feeder has good accuracy and feeding linearity in the feeding range of 1～60 g/h, and the feeding performance meets the needs of the jet mill system, which has high practicability.

Abstract:Straw found in the field can be conveniently stored and transported through mechanical packaging, and it undergoes crushing during its utilization. The effectiveness of the crushing process directly impacts the efficiency of material utilization. However, current crushing devices available in the market lack specialized mechanisms suitable for the unique characteristics of round corn stalks. To address this issue, the necessary simulation parameters were determined, and an experiment was conducted using the ternary quadratic combination test method. The test factors considered were the center height difference of the knife roller, lower roller speed, and cutter thickness. The response value of the experiment was the material crushing rate. By analyzing the results, the optimal structural parameters were identified. These included a center height difference of 390 mm for the knife roller, a lower roller speed of 14 rpm, and a cutter thickness of 110 mm. With these parameters, the crushing rate of the round straw crushing device reached 93.77%, and the particle passing ratio was 98.52%. To validate the research findings, a test device was constructed and used to confirm the reliability of the obtained results.

Abstract:Aiming at the problems of large loss rate and high damage rate during buckwheat threshing, an inner and outer roller buckwheat thresher was designed. The device is mainly composed of an inner roller and an outer roller, the inner roller is a rod-tooth combination roller, and the outer roller is a grid roller, the inner and outer rollers can be rotated independently. The outer roller is supported on the friction wheels and the supporting wheels, and driven to rotate by the friction wheel transmission system. The compression device is installed at the top to prevent the outer roller from slipping during the rotation. During working, the materials enter between the inner and outer rollers and the separation of grains and stems under the brushing and kneading action of the inner and outer rollers takes place. In order to push the materials between the inner and outer rollers smoothly, a double spiral blade type screw feeding device was designed. By establishing a mathematical model of material pushing, the screw feeding device has a material conveying speed of 1.87 m/s and a conveying capacity of 4.29 kg/s. In order to study the threshing performance, the threshing device was installed on the basis of the Kubota 688 tracked type combine to complete a prototype of a tracked buckwheat combination harvester. Field tests show that the grain impurity rate is 6.50%, the grain damage rate is 1.42%, the threshing loss rate is 0.25%, the cleaning loss rate is 1.01%, the direct loss rate of the header is 2.43%, and the total machine harvest loss rate is 3.69% at the working speed of 0.53 m/s and the feeding rate of 0.41 kg/s. The test results provide a basis for the improvement of buckwheat mechanized harvesting machinery.

Abstract:Coconut husk as by-product of coconut is very potential material for many applications. The coconut coir consists of coconut fibre and cocopeat. The improvement made in this research is to design a machine that suits the need of local coconut industry in Sumatera Barat. This machine is powered by 22 HP engine diesel that rotates at 1100 RPM. This engine is connected to rotary knife through double pulley-belt transmission system. The pulleys have 14:25 ratio with the lower side being installed to the engine and the other to the axis. There were 19 knives put to the axis with angle difference of 60 degree. This rotary knife was perpendicular to the axis to increase the effectiveness during the ripping process. The separation mechanism was done by using lines and holes in the cylindrical tube of the machine. The tube has diameter 596 mm. The capacity derived was 123 kg/hour. Dimension of the machine is 2270 x 900 x 1323.13 mm. This machine works for separating coconut fibre and cocopeat.

Abstract:This paper proposed a supplemental feeding pusher based on beef cattle's auxiliary feeding needs to solve the traditional feeding mode of manual work, labor intensity, and inconsistent manual work standards. Firstly, the conveyed feed particles movement process was established as a motion model and the basis of the design parameters of the screw conveyor was explained. ANSYS static analysis module was used to ensure that the structural parameters of the discharging device were reasonable, ANSYS vibration modal analysis module was used to verify the frame strength and stability. According to the theoretical design of the trial prototype, the control system with STM32F103RE microcontroller as the core was carried out. Finally, the orthogonal test was conducted with the screw shaft speed, sweeping roller brush height, and traveling speed as test factors; different parameters were set to verify the effect of supplemental feeding and pushing, and parameter optimization of the test results was carried out using Design-Expert software. The optional combination of working parameters was determined to be the feeding screw shaft speed 188 r/min, the sweeping roller brush speed 160 r/min, and the work speed 0.26 m/s. The test demonstrated that the residual feed width was 0.73 m, and the transverse coefficient of variation was 14.9%, which could satisfy the needs of auxiliary feeding for beef cattle. This study reduced feed waste and met the cattle feeding needs to the greatest extent, and it could provide a reference for auxiliary feeding machinery.

Abstract:In order to solve the problems of low automation degree of micro-high-precision powder addition in the laboratory, large influence of human factors and high labor cost, a set of screw feeding and weighing integration device is designed to realize the automatic addition of powder agent, the mechanical structure and speed of screw feeding are closely related to the accuracy of powder addition, and the discrete element method (EDMEM) is used to simulate spiral powder feeding at different speeds, and the simulation analysis shows that the spiral speed is positively correlated with the motion speed of particles. The spiral velocity is inversely correlated with the density of the particles.
