Abstract:The research history of the genus Eucoptacra is reviewed, the Chinese species are summarized, and one new species, E. maculifemura, is described. This new species is allied to E. binghami Uvarov and E. megaocula Wang et al., but differs in: width of frontal ridge between antennae 1.5 times interocular distance; 1st segment of hind tarsi obviously wider than the 3rd segment; and outer side of hind femur with 3 big black spots. Type specimens are deposited in the Institute of Zoology, Shaanxi Normal University.

Abstract:Five Chinese species of the genus Ectomocoris are revised, keyed and well illustrated by 28 figures. Biarmocoris subgen. n. is established for E. yayeyamae. E. maldonadoi sp. n. is described. E. distanti Cai et Lu is a new name for E. erebus Distant 1904, junior homonym of E. erebus (Distant, 1903). Lectotypes are designated. E. fiavomaculatus is not represented in China. All the male genitalia are reported for the first time.

Abstract:The species of Arocatus Spinola, 1837 from Palaearctic and Oriental Regions are reviewed. The following taxonomic changes are proposed: one new combination: Arocatus nicobarensis (Mayr, 1865), new combination (transferred from Caenocoris Fieber, 1860); three new synonymies: Arocatus nanus (Breddin, 1900) = A. aurantium Zou & Zheng, 1981, new synonymy; A. sericans (Stal, 1859) = A. continctus Distant, 1906, new synonymy = Caenocoris dimidiatus Breddin, 1907, new synonymy. Arocatus pseudosericans, new species, is described from China and Japan. Arocatus melanocephalus (Fabricius, 1798) is reported from China, A. nanus (Breddin, 1900) from Cambodia, India, Laos and Thailand, and A. sericans (Stal, 1859) from Vietnam and Ethiopia for the first time. A diagnosis of the genus, a key to all the species, habitus photos and male genitalia illustrations of selected species are presented.

Abstract:Two new species, Tachytes spatiosus Li, Cai and Li from Zhejiang, China, and T. yunnanensis Li, Cai and Li from Yunnan, China, are described and illustrated. Five species are first recorded from China, T. ambidens Kohl, T. matronalis Dahlbom, T. freygessneri Kohl, T. celsissimus Turner, and T. monetarius Smith. A key to the Chinese species of the genus is provided.

Abstract:Based on new topotypical material, the apterous carventine genus Crassocoris Bai, Heiss Cai, 2007 (Hemiptera: Heteroptera: Aradidae) with the type species C. hsiaoi Bai, Heiss Cai, 2007, is redescribed. A new, closely related apterous genus and species, Paracrassocoris hekouensis gen. nov., sp. nov. is described from Hainan, China. The diagnostic morphological features of both taxa are described and illustrated.

The former was collected from the Yuanbao Mountains in Rong′an County of Guangxi Province; the latter from Mangshan Natural Reserve in Yizhang County of Hunan Province. Abstract:Species of the genus Acanthosoma Curtis, 1824 (Hemiptera: Heteroptera: Acanthosomatidae) occurring in Taiwan are reviewed. Twelve species are recognized, treated, and keyed. Four species (A. atayal sp. nov., A. axicia sp. nov., A. fallax sp. nov. and A. pugnax sp. nov.) and one subspecies (A. haemorrhoidale formosanum subsp. nov.) are described as new. Five species are recorded for the fi rst time from Taiwan: A. crassicaudum Jakovlev, 1880; A. expansum Horváth, 1905; A. forfi cula Jakovlev, 1880; A. laevicorne Dallas, 1851; A. sichuanense (Liu, 1980). The records of A. forfex Dallas, 1851 and A. rufescens Dallas, 1851 from Taiwan by previous authors are considered as erroneous. Lectotypes are designated for A. expansum and A. laevicorne. The Acanthosoma fauna of Taiwan is highly endemic; the zoogeographical affi nities of the species are briefl y discussed

Abstract:Studies on the genus Acervus from China are reviewed briefly. Six of the seven known species of the genus are currently recorded in this country. Acervus beijingense and A. changchunense are described as new based on morphological features and molecular data, and A. flavidus with minor emendation is added to the Chinese fungus flora. Phylogenetic relationships among four of the seven species of the genus are investigated based on the 28S rDNA sequence analysis. Species of the genus formed a single clade with high bootstrap support. The sequences of A. epispartius forma epispartius and that of A. flavidus obtained from materials in different geographical regions together formed a group with 100% bootstrap support. Ascospore size and shape are important criteria in the taxonomy of the genus and are phylogenetically informative. A dichotomous key to all described species of the genus is provided.
