Abstract:Vehicles often accelerate or decelerate when running because of road condition, automotive flow density and traffic signals and so on, so vehicle vibration and interior noise become unstable. In order to study on how to actively control interior noise in vehicle at unstable conditions, the adaptive active noise control (AANC) system was developed in this paper. According to the close correlation between dominant noise components and vibrating acceleration signals of engine-body, auto-body suspension, the interior noise signals were predicted from neural network by means of these vibrating acceleration signals. Then the forecasted. noise signals after being delayed adaptively filtered, phase-reversed and amplified were used as outputs of the secondary sound sources-loudspeakers to cancel low-frequency unstable noise in vehicle. For the purpose of following the changes of noise at real time, F-XLMS was selected as key adaptive control algorithm, with it the system can satisfy the requirements for the convergence and stability. Based on the ANNC system the unstable noise cancellation experiments were carried out in a given minibus. The experimental results' indicate that the AANC system is of the better stability and satisfactory convergence speed, and the sound pressure level in an automotive cabin can be reduced by about 8dB(Lin) whether the minibus accelerates or decelerates. At last the interior unstable noise signals from the experiments were analyzed in time and frequency domain with the wavelet analytic method, and the spectral characters of the unstable noise when an automobile changing its speed were showed.
