Abstract:Purpose:We sought to evaluate the appearance of the venous lesion of dual-phase MDCT angiography.Materials and Methods:Fourty-eight patients with portal venous thromblus(n=12),liver cirrhosis(n=12),Pudder-chair malformation(n=5),peritoneal metastasis(n=3),low extremity veinoma(n=1),embolus of deep femoral vein(n=2),upper,lower extremity carvenous and abdominal-back giant carvenous hamangioma(n=8),posttruma arterial broken companied by AVF(n=3)and lower ex-tremity varices(n=2)underwent dual-phase or venous phase. Some cases were confirmed by DSA or surgical operation.MDCT using lightspeed16scanner.Contrast material(100~150ml of Ominipaque300/350)was injected at a rate of3~3.5ml/sec.The arterial and portal phase or venous phase images were rendered on a workstation to obtain volume rendering, maximum intensity projection, multiplanar projection reconstruction and cured projection reconstruction and compared with the evaluation of the two imaging mathods. Results:The findings of fourty-eight patients with the venous lesions in the arterial phase were normal except from the AVF(n=4)cavernous angiomas(n=3),and pudder-chiari(n=1)through lower-extremity vein, which appeared earlier venous enhancement, and patchy en-hancement,but the other patients with the lesions in the portal phase their appearances were variant:the intrahepatic segement of inferior cava occlusion(n=3),and intrahepatic vein stenosis(n=2).Varices of fundus of stomach, lower esophagus, portal vein spleenic vein and lower extremity vein, and distort and extension cavernous vein in the tumor, like lumbricoid(n=17),filling defect in the portal vein (n=15),especially MPR or CPR,lower extremity mutiple venoima(n=1),Carvenous hamangioma appeared vascular enhanced vasculization in the dual phase and clearly demonastrated drainage vein in the venous phase. Conclusion:MDCT angiography can administrate the venous lesions and provide the ve-nous vascularity location, sizes and quality, and preoperative surgical choice.
