Abstract:Under the background of "double first-class" construction, the teaching staff, as the foundation of the construction of colleges and universities, determines the overall construction effect of colleges and universities.High-level teachers are the guarantee of talent cultivation, education and teaching, scientific research and competitiveness of colleges and universities.However, the improvement of teachers' quality is affected by many factors, which leads to teachers' choices that affect their overall performance when facing teaching and scientific research tasks.In view of this, this study attempts to determine the relationship between professional ability, incentive mechanism and career satisfaction in Chinese universities and colleges, and to propose ways to improve teacher quality.A total of 400 valid questionnaires were collected in this study, and SPSS 26.0 software was used for descriptive analysis, variance analysis and regression analysis.The results show that there is a positive correlation between professional ability, incentive mechanism and teacher satisfaction in Chinese universities.This means that the stronger the professional ability of teachers, the better the incentive mechanism, the higher the satisfaction of teachers, and the corresponding improvement of teacher quality.Through this research, universities may encourage and support the training and professional development of young teachers.This will help balance the age structure of the teaching force and provide more development opportunities for young teachers.As teachers themselves, they may continuously improve their level of professional ability, including teaching and academic ability, and formulate their own career plans in order to adapt to the constant changes in society.Regular teacher training programs should be established to help enhance their professional competence, while salaries and benefits should be improved to better motivate teachers.

Abstract:In this paper, practical strategies are proposed to improve the quality of teachers in higher vocational colleges. Research and analyses have shown that the key to improving the quality of teachers in higher vocational colleges lies in the improvement of professionalism, subject knowledge, and teaching ability. Thus, the following practical strategies are proposed: strengthen teachers’ moral development, establish a teacher training system, focus on curriculum construction and teaching method innovation, and strengthen the teaching quality monitoring and evaluation mechanism. These measures can effectively improve the quality of teachers in higher vocational colleges and promote the development of higher vocational education.

Abstract:The new engineering construction is a major strategic choice of higher education reform and innovation. Abstract:With the continued education reform, the significance of higher education institutions in the cultivation of professional talents has gradually become apparent. Among them, the teaching of students’ professional English abilities in higher vocational colleges has received extensive attention from all walks of life. Traditional higher professional English teaching only takes English as the basic subject of public courses. In the teaching process, it focuses on the students’ test-taking ability, ignoring the improvement of students’ practical ability of professional English, which hinders the future development of students. Abstract:The National Vocational College Skills Competition provides an important idea for the improvement of teachers' teaching ability. The text reviews the research on teachers' teaching ability at home and abroad and points out that teachers in vocational colleges should not only have the basic teaching ability necessary for teachers in colleges and universities but also possess the relevant skills in line with their vocational attributes. From the perspective of teaching ability competition, the text puts forward four pairs of keywords for the improvement of the teaching ability of teachers in vocational colleges and universities: occupation and profession, elaboration and innovation, bright colors and characteristics, temperament, and aura. Teachers should seize the opportunity of the teaching ability competition to promote teaching through the competition, establish themselves and reach others, and promote their professional growth while improving the quality of classroom teaching.

Abstract:The rapid growth of the Internet has propelled online teaching into a prominent position in higher education, including vocational English courses. Despite its widespread adoption, online teaching faces significant challenges compared to traditional classroom methods. This study delves into the current landscape of online teaching in vocational English courses, identifying key issues such as the lack of targeted course content, insufficient teaching resources, and low student participation. Drawing on a literature review and utilizing both quantitative and qualitative research methods, including questionnaire surveys and field observations, this study offers insights into the complexities of online teaching. Findings highlight the importance of improving teacher's technical abilities, fostering active student engagement, optimizing teaching resources and modes, and strengthening online teaching supervision. These strategies are pivotal in enhancing the quality of online teaching and paving the way for further advancements in vocational English education. Future research avenues include exploring innovative teaching models and leveraging emerging technologies like artificial intelligence and virtual reality to enrich the online teaching experience.

Abstract:In recent years, with the rapid development of higher education in China, more and more outstanding young teachers with master's degree, doctor's degree and professional talents come to the platform of higher vocational colleges every year. Young teachers have become the backbone of the teachers of higher vocational colleges. Wenzhou Polytechnic (hereinafter referred to as the "School"), as a national demonstration higher vocational college, has deeply implemented the strategy of "strengthening the school with talents" and recruited talents widely. However, among these young teachers, there are some problems, such as non-normal major, short teaching time, not rich teaching experience and weak scientific research ability. Therefore, how to improve the classroom teaching quality of young teachers has become a problem that higher vocational colleges must think about. Based on the problems existing in the classroom teaching quality of young teachers from the perspective of school teaching supervision and course evaluation, this paper analyzes and proposes countermeasures from the aspects of teaching plan preparation, teaching link, ideological and political integration, classroom management, etc., in order to improve the level and quality of classroom teaching of young teachers, boost the high quality development of vocational education in schools and cultivate high-level technical skills talents.
