Abstract:The pteromalid genus, Systasis Walker, is reported from China for the first time. Four new species, Systasis oculi sp. nov., S. ovoidea sp. nov., S. procerula sp. nov., and S. rimata sp. nov., and 2 species newly recorded from China are dealt with in the present paper. A key is given to separate the species. The type specimens are deposited at the Zoological Museum, Institute of Zoology, the Chinese Academy of Science.

Abstract:The genus Laelius from China is revised for the first time and six species are recognized, including one new species as well as three new records. The new species, Laelius longus sp. nov., which is supported by both morphological and molecular analyses, is described and illustrated. Three new records, L. naniwaensis, L. nigrofemoratus, and L. yamatonis, are illustrated. A key to the Chinese species of Laelius is provided.

Abstract:Here, the taxonomy of the genus Rhagastis Rothschild & Jordan, 1903 (Lepidoptera, Sphingidae, Macroglossinae, Macroglossini) from China is revised based on differences in wing morphology, male and female genitalia, and the phylogenetic relationship of the DNA barcodes. Subspecies of Rhagastis albomarginatus (Rothschild, 1894) and R. castor (Walker, 1856) are treated as “good” species, namely Rhagastis dichroae Mell, 1922 stat. nov.; R. everetti Rothschild & Jordan, 1903 stat. nov.; R. aurifera (Butler, 1875) stat. rev.; R. chinensis Mell, 1922 stat. nov.; R. formosana Clark, 1925 stat. nov.; and R. jordani Oberthür, 1904 stat. rev. The distribution maps, biological notes, and ecological records of the genus Rhagastis Rothschild & Jordan, 1903 from China are given, and a species inventory of genus Rhagastis in the world is also included.

Abstract:This paper treats Chinese species of genus Diglyphus Walker, 1844. Fourteen species are treated, including D. isaea (Walker). Six species are described as new: D. albinervis, D. albitibiae, D. bimaculatus, D. gibbus, D. inflatus, D. metallicus; seven species are newly recorded in China: D. albiscapus Erdos, D. begini (Ashmead), D. crassinervis Erdos, D. minoeus (Walker); D. pachyneurus Graham, D. pulchripes (Crawford), D. pustenzis Erdos & Novicky. Species are mainly parasitoids of leafmining Agromyzidae, including the economically important genus Liriomyza.

Abstract:Twenty two species of the paper wasp genus Ropalidia Guérin-Méneville, 1831, are listed from China. Among them, R. malaisei van der Vecht, 1962, R. cyathiformis (Fabricius, 1804), R. santoshae Das & Gupta, 1989, R. scitula (Bingham, 1897), R. obscura Gusenleitner, 1996 and R. ornaticeps (Cameron, 1900) are new records from China. A new species, R. parartifex Tan & van Achterberg, is described. Their diagnostic characteristics are summarized in an illustrated key and 36 colourplates.

Abstract:The diagnosis of Janus Stephens 1829 and a key to the Chinese species of the genus is provided.Janus megamaculatus Liu & Wei sp.nov.and J.rufus Liu & Wei sp.nov.are described from China.Janus megamaculatus sp.nov.differs from its known congeners by the body very large,head and thorax yellow brown with few black macula,the abdomen yellow brown with transverse black bands,the mesoscutal middle lobe with a deep middle furrow and the apical sheath as long as the basal sheath.Janus rufus sp.nov.is similar to Janus xanthus Naito & Smith,1998 in structure but differs from the latter by the head and thorax almost entirely yellow brown,the antenna brown and about 2 times as long as head and thorax together,the hind femur yellow brown,the cell Rs in hindwing closed and cercus 0.14 times as long as the apical sheath.
