Abstract:In this paper, we study the regularity of convex solutions to the Dirichlet problem of the homogeneous Monge-Ampere equation det D(2)u = 0. We prove that if the domain is a strip region and the boundary functions are locally uniformly convex and C-k+2,C-alpha smooth, then the solution is C-k+2,C-alpha smooth up to boundary. By an example, we show the solution may fail to be C-2 smooth if boundary functions are not locally uniformly convex. Similar results have also been obtained for the Dirichlet problem on bounded convex domains.

Abstract:In this paper, we present an $L_q(L_p)$-regularity theory for parabolic equations of the form: $$ \partial_t u(t,x)=\mathcal{L}^{\vec{a},\vec{b}}(t)u(t,x)+f(t,x),\quad u(0,x)=0. $$ Here, $\mathcal{L}^{\vec{a},\vec{b}}(t)$ represents anisotropic non-local operators encompassing the singular anisotropic fractional Laplacian with measurable coefficients: $$ \mathcal{L}^{\vec{a},\vec{0}}(t)u(x)=\sum_{i=1}^{d} \int_{\mathbb{R}}\left( u(x^{1},\dots,x^{i-1},x^{i}+y^{i},x^{i+1},\dots,x^{d}) - u(x) \right) \frac{a_{i}(t,y^{i})}{|y^{i}|^{1+\alpha_{i}}} \mathrm{d}y^{i} . $$ To address the anisotropy of the operator, we employ a probabilistic representation of the solution and Calderón-Zygmund theory. As applications of our results, we demonstrate the solvability of elliptic equations with anisotropic non-local operators and parabolic equations with isotropic non-local operators.

Abstract:We study the time regularity of local weak solutions of the heat equation in the context of local regular symmetric Dirichlet spaces. Under two basic and rather minimal assumptions, namely, the existence of certain cut-off functions and a very weak L 2 Gaussian type upper bound for the heat semigroup, we prove that the time derivatives of a local weak solution of the heat equation are themselves local weak solutions. This applies, for instance, to local weak solutions of parabolic equations with uniformly elliptic symmetric divergence form second order operators with measurable coefficients. We describe some applications to the structure of ancient local weak solutions of such equations which generalize recent results of Colding and Minicozzi (Duke Math. J., 170 (18), 4171–4182 2021) and Zhang (Proc. Amer. Math. Soc., 148 (4), 1665–1670 2020).

Abstract:We study weak solutions and minimizers $u$ of the non-autonomous problems $\operatorname{div} A(x, Du)=0$ and $\min_v \int_\Omega F(x,Dv)\,dx$ with quasi-isotropic $(p, q)$-growth. We consider the case that $u$ is bounded, Hölder continuous or lies in a Lebesgue space and establish a sharp connection between assumptions on $A$ or $F$ and the corresponding norm of $u$. We prove a Sobolev--Poincaré inequality, higher integrability and the Hölder continuity of $u$ and $Du$. Our proofs are optimized and streamlined versions of earlier research that can more readily be further extended to other settings. Connections between assumptions on $A$ or $F$ and assumptions on $u$ are known for the double phase energy $F(x, \xi)=|\xi|^p + a(x)|\xi|^q$. We obtain slightly better results even in this special case. Furthermore, we also cover perturbed variable exponent, Orlicz variable exponent, degenerate double phase, Orlicz double phase, triple phase, double variable exponent as well as variable exponent double phase energies and the results are new in most of these special cases.

Abstract:We find an iteration technique and thus prove the optimal global regularity for the boundary value problem of a class of singular differential equations with strongly singular lower terms at the boundary. As applications, we obtain the regularity for the radial solutions of Ginzburg-Landau equations and harmonic maps.

Abstract:We establish local regularity theory for parabolic systems of Uhlenbeck type with $\varphi$-growth. In particular, we prove local boundedness of weak solutions and their gradient, and then local Hölder continuity of the gradients, providing suitable assumptions on the growth function $\varphi$. Our approach, being independent of the degeneracy of the system, allows for a unified treatment of both the degenerate and the singular case.

Abstract:We consider nonlinear integro-differential equations, like the ones that arise from stochastic control problems with purely jump Lèvy processes. We obtain a nonlocal version of the ABP estimate, Harnack inequality, and interior $C^{1,\alpha}$ regularity for general fully nonlinear integro-differential equations. Our estimates remain uniform as the degree of the equation approaches two, so they can be seen as a natural extension of the regularity theory for elliptic partial differential equations.

Abstract:The paper is concerned with spatial and time regularity of solutions to linear stochastic evolution equation perturbed by Lévy white noise "obtained by subordination of a Gaussian white noise". Sufficient conditions for spatial continuity are derived. It is also shown that solutions do not have in general \cadlag modifications. General results are applied to equations with fractional Laplacian. Applications to Burgers stochastic equations are considered as well.

Abstract:In this article, we present the existence, uniqueness, and regularity of solutions to parabolic equations with non-local operators $$ \partial_{t}u(t,x) = \mathcal{L}^{a}u(t,x) + f(t,x), \quad t>0 $$ in $L_{q}(L_{p})$ spaces. Our spatial operator $\mathcal{L}^{a}$ is an integro-differential operator of the form $$ \int_{\mathbb{R}^{d}} \left( u(x+y)-u(x) -\nabla u(x) \cdot y \mathrm{1}_{|y|\leq 1} \right) a(t,y) j_{d}(|y|)dy. $$ Here, $a(t,y)$ is a merely bounded measurable coefficient, and we employed the theory of additive process to handle it. We investigate conditions on $j_{d}(r)$ which yield $L_{q}(L_{p})$-regularity of solutions. Our assumptions on $j_d$ are general so that $j_d(r)$ may be comparable to $r^{-d}\ell(r^{-1})$ for a function $\ell$ which is slowly varying at infinity. For example, we can take $\ell(r)=\log{(1+r^{\alpha})}$ or $\ell(r) = \min{\{r^{\alpha},1\}}$ ($\alpha\in(0,2)$). Indeed, our result covers the operators whose Fourier multiplier $\psi(\xi)$ does not have any scaling condition for $|\xi|\geq 1$. Furthermore, we give some examples of operators, which cannot be covered by previous results where smoothness or scaling conditions on $\psi$ are considered.

Abstract:In this paper, we study the regularity for viscosity solutions of locally uniformly elliptic equations and obtain a series of interior pointwise $C^{k,\alpha}$ ($k\geq 1$, $0<\alpha<1$) regularity with smallness assumptions on the solution and the right-hand term. As applications, we obtain various interior pointwise regularity for several classical elliptic equations, i.e., the prescribed mean curvature equation, the Monge-Ampère equation, the $k$-Hessian equations, the $k$-Hessian quotient equations and the Lagrangian mean curvature equation. Moreover, the smallness assumptions are necessary in most cases (Remark 2.6, Remark 3.5, Remark 4.7, Remark 5.4 and Remark 6.5).

Abstract:In this work, some regularity properties of mild solutions for a class of stochastic linear functional differential equations driven by infinite dimensional Wiener processes are considered. In terms of retarded fundamental solutions, we introduce a class of stochastic convolutions which naturally arise in the solutions and investigate their Yosida approximants. By means of the retarded fundamental solutions, we find conditions under which each mild solution permits a continuous modification. With the aid of Yosida approximation, we study two kinds of regularity properties, temporal and spatial ones, for the retarded solution processes. By employing a factorization method, we establish a retarded version of Burkholder-Davis-Gundy's inequality for stochastic convolutions.

Abstract:Abstract The objective of this paper is to establish a connection between the problem of optimal regularity among solutions to elliptic partial differential equations with measurable coefficients and the Liouville property at infinity. Initially, we address the two‐dimensional case by proving an Alt–Caffarelli–Friedman‐type monotonicity formula, enabling the proof of optimal regularity and the Liouville property for multiphase problems. In higher dimensions, we delve into the role of monotonicity formulas in characterizing optimal regularity. By employing a hole‐filling technique, we present a distinct “almost‐monotonicity” formula that implies Hölder regularity of solutions. Finally, we explore the interplay between the least growth at infinity and the exponent of regularity by combining blow‐up and ‐convergence arguments.
