Abstract:Several regularity criterions of Leray-Hopf weak solutions $u$ to the 3D Navier-Stokes equations are obtained. The results show that a weak solution $u$ becomes regular if the gradient of velocity component $\nabla_{h}{u}$ (or $ \nabla{u_3}$) satisfies the additional conditions in the class of $L^{q}(0,T; \dot{B}_{p,r}^{s}(\mathbb{R}^{3}))$, where $\nabla_{h}=(\partial_{x_{1}},\partial_{x_{2}})$ is the horizontal gradient operator. Besides, we also consider the anisotropic regularity criterion for the weak solution of Navier-Stokes equations in $\mathbb{R}^3$. Finally, we also get a further regularity criterion, when give the sufficient condition on $\partial_3u_3$.

Abstract:We are concerned with the well-posedness of the density-dependent incompressible viscoelastic fluid system. By Schauder-Tychonoff fixed point argument, when $\|{1}/{\rho_0}-1\|_{\dot{B}_{p,1}^{{N}/{p}}}$ is small, local well-posedness is showed to hold in Besov space. Furthermore, provided the initial data $(1/\rho_0 -1,\upsilon_0,U_0-I)$ is small under certain norm, we also get the existence of the global solution.

On Partial Regularity Problem for 3D Boussinesq Equations

Abstract:In this paper, we study the partial regularity of the solutions for the three-dimensional Boussinesq equations. We first prove a criterion of local Hölder continuous of the suitable weak solutions of the Boussinesq equations, and show that one-dimensional Hausdorff measure of the singular point set is zero. Secondly, we present a local uniform gradient estimate on the suitable weak solutions and assert that the local behavior of the solution can be dominated by some scaled quantities, such as the scaled local L3-norm of the velocity. Besides, when the initial data v0 and θ0 decay sufficiently rapidly at ∞, the distribution of the regular point set of the suitable weak solutions is also considered. Based on it, one can find that MHD equations are more similar to Navier–Stokes equations than Boussinesq equations. Finally, we give a local regularity criterion of the suitable weak solutions near the boundary.

Abstract:In this paper, we study the regularity criteria for the 3D Boussinesq equations in terms of one partial derivative of the velocity in Besov spaces. More precisely, it is proved that if the velocity $u$ holds $\int_{0}^{T}\| \partial_{3} u\|_{\dot{B}_{\infty,\infty}^{-r}}^{\frac{2}{1-r}}\mbox{d}t<\infty,\ with\ \ 0\leq r<1$, then the solution $(u, \theta)$ is regular on $[0,T]$.

Abstract:In this paper, we are mainly concerned with the well-posedness of the dissipative surface quasi-geostrophic equation in the framework of variable Lebesgue spaces. Based on some analytical results developed in the variable Lebesgue spaces and the $L^{p}$-$L^{q}$ decay estimates of the fractional heat kernel, we establish the local existence and regularity of solutions to the 2D dissipative surface quasi-geostrophic equation in the variable Lebesgue space.

Abstract:The two-dimensional (2D) quasi-geostrophic (QG) equation is a 2D model of the 3D incompressible Euler equations, and its dissipative version includes an extra term bearing the operator $(-\Delta)^\alpha$ with $\alpha\in [0,1]$. Existing research appears to indicate the criticality of $\alpha=\frac12$ in the sense that the issue of global existence for the 2D dissipative QG equation becomes extremely difficult when $\alpha\le \frac12$. It is shown here that for any $\alpha\le \frac12$ the 2D dissipative QG equation with an initial datum in the Besov space $B^r_{2,\infty}$ or $B^r_{p,\infty}$ $(p>2)$ possesses a unique global solution if the norm of the datum in these spaces is comparable to $\kappa$, the diffusion coefficient. Since the Sobolev space $H^r$ is embedded in $B^r_{2,\infty}$, a special consequence is the global existence of small data solutions in $H^r$ for any $r>2-2\alpha$.

Abstract:We study the initial value problem for the 2D critical dissipative quasi-geostrophic equation. We prove the global existence for small data in the scale invariant Besov spaces Ḃ p,1 2/p , 1 ⩽ p ⩽ ∞. In particular, for p = ∞, our result does not impose any regularity on the initial data. Our proofs are based on an exponential decay estimate of the semigroup $e^{{ - t\kappa ( - \Delta )}^{\alpha}} $ and the use of space-time Besov spaces.

Abstract:In this paper, we consider the initial value problem of the 2D dissipative quasigeostrophic equations. Existence and uniqueness of the solution global in time are proved in the homogenous Besov space $\dot B_{p,\infty }^{Sp} $with small data when $\frac{1}{2} < \alpha \leqslant 1,\frac{2}{{2\alpha - 1}} < p < \infty ,s_p = \frac{2}{p} - (2\alpha - 1)$. Our proof is based on a new characterization of the homogenous Besov space and Kato’s method.

Abstract:We establish existence and uniqueness results for the two-dimensional dissipative quasi-geostrophic (QG) equation with initial data in a Besov space or in the function space introduced in this paper. Attention is focused on the QG equation with a critical or supercritical fractional power of the Laplacian for which the dissipation is insufficient to balance the nonlinearity. The function space is a natural generalization of the Besov space and it allows study of the two-dimensional QG equation in a functional setting that is close to a borderline Besov space.

Abstract:In this paper, we investigate some priori estimates to provide the critical regularity criteria for incompressible Navier-Stokes equations on and super critical surface quasi-geostrophic equations on . Concerning the Navier-Stokes equations, we demonstrate that a Leray-Hopf solution is regular if , or in Lorentz space , with . Additionally, an alternative regularity condition is expressed as ( ), contingent upon a smallness assumption on the norm . For the surface quasi-geostrophic equations, we derive that a Leray-Hopf weak solution is smooth for any small enough. Similar to the case of Navier-Stokes equations, we derive regularity criteria in more refined spaces, i.e. Lorentz spaces and addition of two critical spaces , with smallness assumption on .

Abstract:This paper studies the regularity and energy conservation problems for the 2D supercritical quasi-geostrophic (SQG) equation. We apply an approach of splitting the dissipation wavenumber to obtain a new regularity condition which is weaker than all the Prodi-Serrin type regularity conditions. Moreover, we prove that any weak solution of the supercritical SQG in $L^2(0,T; B^{1/2}_{2,c(\mathbb N)})$ satisfies energy equality.

Abstract:We prove global well-posedness of the 2D critical dissipative quasi-geostrophic equation for small initial data in the Triebel–Lizorkin spaces Fp,qs,s>2p,p,q∈(1,∞). In particular, our result implies the global existence for small initial data in the Sobolev space Hs,p,s>2p,p∈(1,∞) since Fp,2s=Hs,p. The key ingredients of our proof are the pointwise exponential decay estimate of the semigroup e−tκ(−Δ)α and maximum principle.
