Abstract:LI Gao,who was one of the four famous doctors in the peoriod of Jin and Yuan in history,founded the Doctrine of Spleen and Stomach.It said that all most every disease is caused by the decline of the functions of spleen and stomach.Weakness of the spleen and stomach caused endogenic fire evil,which was yin fire,resulted from eating and drinking without temperance,physique and body too more labor service and internal injury caused by excess of seven emotions.These kinds of diseases and syndromes from yin fire were named by polyphagia and polymicturition syndrome.Later ages' physicians debated the essence of polyphagia and polymicturition syndrome and yin fire more often,but this disturbed the understanding and applying the Doctrine of Spleen and Stomach.According to LI Gao's medical works and other physicians' expoundations and analyses,this article believed that the essence of polyphagia and polymicturition syndrome is internal damage of the spleen and stomach,as wind,wetness,heat and dryness evils following,and yingqi and weiqi in meridians run blocked.Treating yin fire lays particular emphasis on cultivating and strengthening the middle warmer energy,eliminating heat and expelling pathogen.
