Abstract:Hunan's famous traditional Chinese physician Wang Aihua thinks that the deficiency of stomach Qi is the primary factor of ulcerative colitis, while damp-heat was the symptomatic factor, heat-toxicity causing bloody stool, blood stasis is the local pathological change, intestine sores is local pathological characteristics. The long illness will damage kidney, caus-ing the dificiency of both spleen and kidney. She proposes that invigorating spleen for digestion is the prima-ry method, harmonizing Qi and blood is the auxiliary method, while clearing heat and promoting diuresis in the whole course of ulcerative colitis.
