Abstract:Using fuzzy inference,the self-tuning of PID controller by combining fuzzy logic controller and PID controller is made.The result of simulation in Matlab indicates that the controller evidently improves the dynamic property of control system.The controller is easily realized and applied in engineering.

Abstract:A multivariable nonlinear self-tuning PID controller is presented by using artifical neural networks. Controller parameters are automatically tuned via learning of neural network weights without knowing the system dynamic model. Abstract:When working continuously under high temperature, pump controlled motor system adopting conventional PID controller shows poor dynamic performance due to unmatched system model. Aiming at the problem, selfadapting fuzzy PID control is suggested to improve the dynamic performance. The system Eigen-parameters under high temperature and design method of self- adapting fuzzy PID controller are analyzed. The simulation results show that, compared with conventional PID controller, the self-adapting fuzzy PID controller provides faster response and better dynamic characteristics and demonstrates stronger adaptability and robustness against unmatched model.

Abstract:As a result of oil mixed with air, the system bulk modulus and the leakage coefficient is no longer a constant during the process of pump-control-motor running.The conventional PID controller can't meet the requirement of the dynamic characteristics of the system. In view of above characteristics, the use of self-tuning fuzzy PID in improving the situation has been risen up. The paper analyzed the influencing factor of bulk modulus and leakage coefficient, it also described the method of self-tuning fuzzy PID design. The simulation results show that compared to conventional PID, self-tuning fuzzy PID has faster response and better control performance. Self-tuning fuzzy PID has better adaptability and higher robustness while the mathematic model changing or the system load disturbance.

Abstract:To combine the advantages of the conventional PID with that of fuzzy logic, a control method of mixed parameter selfadjusted fuzzy PID controller is proposed in this paper. Compared with the ordinary PID controller, and the fixed parameter fuzzy PID controller, the result of simulation on hydroturbine system shows that this method can not only improve the response capability of the system, but also enhance the steadystate precision and the robustness of the system.

Abstract:As most industrial processes are nonlinear, the proper T-S fuzzy model was obtained by online recursive fuzzy identification method and then applied to describe the complex nonlinear systems. Fuzzy cluster algorithm was used to determine the center input area of the fuzzy rules, and the predefined degree of over lapping between rules was used to determine the input-zone radius for the fuzzy rules. After the rules' consequent parameters were obtained by the recursive least squares (RLS) algorithm, the fuzzy local linearization model was used as a CARIMA-like model. Finally, by combining the principles of the generalized predictive control (GPC) and adaptive FIR filter, a predictive PID controller algorithm was developed. The method solves the problem of restriction on the system's order. Simulation results show the effectiveness and practicability of the proposed method.

Abstract:The proportional integral derivative (PID) controllers are widely applied in industrial process, and the tuning method of PID controller parameters is still a hot research area. A fuzzy tuning scheme for PID controller settings is developed for integrator plus time delay processes in this paper, in which a fuzzy rule base reasoning method are utilized on-line to determine a tuning parameter /spl alpha/ based on the error and the first change of the error of the process. Then this tuning parameter /spl alpha/ is used to calculate the PID controller parameters. Computer simulations are performed for an example of integrating plants. Comparing to some reported methods, the performance of the presented approach is shown to be satisfying.

Abstract:For conventional PID tuner and fuzzy inference systems based on expertise problem will arise when expertise of the process is not enough. Artificial neural networks have self-learning capability, however, the change of their weights can not be understood, This paper describes the structures of self-learning neuro-fuzzy networks and shrinking-span membership functions, and presents a neuro-fuzzy PID (NFPID) controller. The NFPID controller has the capability of self-extracting inference rules, and its parameters have explicitly physical definitions. By using the RBF neural network inverse model, a hybrid learning procedure was put forward. Various simulation results demonstrated that the NFPID controller described has very good performances

Abstract:Oil temperature control in a large hydraulic system is dealt with using the fuzzy logic control algorithm. Mathematic model of the control system characterized by large time delay is created based on law of thermodynamics. A self-tuning-parameter fuzzy PID controller is designed to regulate the cooling water flow rate through the triple proportional valve in order to control the oil temperature. The simulations and experiments are carried out, making a comparison with conventional PID control. The results suggest that fuzzy PID strategy can efficiently improve the performance of the hydraulic temperature control system, irrespective of time delay problem and parameter variations. It achieves higher control accuracy of temperature, faster response and stronger robustness than conventional PID control system.

Abstract:This paper applies the simulated annealing algorithm for PID controllers to deal with those motion control systems having constant disturbance. The main goal is to eliminate the steady state error of the system and minimize the integral time absolute error (ITAE) performance index. Three PID controllers, the ordinary PID controller, the increment PID (IPID) controller and the integral separation PID (ISPID) controller are compared. The result shows different controllers fulfill different control requirements.

Abstract:Temperature control systems are characterized as non-linear,large time-delay and time-varying parameters.This paper designs the fuzzy immune PID controller for them.The controller absorbs all kinds of good points in fuzzy logic,immune mechanism and PID tuning.It combines nonlinear effects in fuzzy control,adaptive ability in immune control and broad application as PID control.The paper introduces the control principle,design approach and Matlab simulation of fuzzy immune PID controller.The simulation result shows that the controller can guarantee the closed-loop robust stability with continuous interference and make the system work well in both dynamic and static state.

Abstract:PID controllers have been widely used in many industries. They can provide robust and reliable performance for most systems. However, it is very important to tune the PID parameters properly. There is a large variety of methods for tuning the PID parameters. But none of them can cope with the wide system uncertainties. The main motivation in this paper is to present a design scheme of controllers using the LS-SVM which achieve to self-tune the parameter. This method used LS-SVM to identify the predictive model of the system off-line, then linearized the model in local on-line for reducing computation, and combined the general minimum variance to self-tune the PID parameters. The controller has a better effect than the conventional PID controller. Simulation study shows the effectiveness and good performance.

Abstract:The practical performance of the controller in the air-conditioning system is very important to the whole system. Although the traditional PID controller is widely used in a variety of industrial production situations and has achieved successful applications, it is only suitable for the analysis and design of the linear system, and it's unable for the analysis and design of the air-conditioning system which is time-delay and nonlinear. In this paper, a self-adaptive fuzzy PI control strategy is proposed to be used in the air-conditioning system. Simulation results and the practical control effect prove that the compound control structure possesses better performance than the conventional control method and satisfactory effects have been obtained.

Abstract:A DC motor model is built, and a controller is designed in this paper. The controller is simulated on Matlab Simulink. The simulation result shows the difference of conventional PID controller and the parameters self-tuning fuzzy PID. From these simulation results, all performance indexes of the fuzzy PID controller with parameters self-tuning are vastly superior to those of the conventional PID controller.

Through constantly testing error E and rate of change EC, makes the controlled object have good dynamic and static performance. Abstract:When a traditional PID controller or a traditional composite fuzzy controller is applied to the active magnetic bearing system,it is difficult to achieve the good control performances because of some contradictions between its static and dynamic performances.Therefore,an adaptive fuzzy controller with intelligent integrator which was a combination of an adaptive fuzzy controller and an intelligent integrator in parallel was proposed.The performances of the PID controller,the traditional composite fuzzy controller and the adaptive fuzzy controller with intelligent integrator applying in the active magnetic bearing system were simulated and compared.The simulation results verify the advantages of the adaptive fuzzy controller with intelligent integrator.

Abstract:This paper introduces the principle and realization of the PID controller parameter auto tuning of the power plant control simulation system. On the basis of researching various auto tuning methods, the fuzzy tuning rule method based on pattern recognition is proposed, which can be used in the power plant simulator. Using the object oriented programming (OOP) method, a single loop and cascade loop PID controller parameter of the simulator auto tuning software package is developed on the HP workstation. With the integration simulation support environment (ISSE), the controller parameter auto tuning is realized, which significantly reduces the modelling time. The performance of the software package is verified by applied to the 600MW simulator in Shenyang.
