Abstract:Knowledge management is the process of capturing, developing, sharing, and effectively using organizational knowledge. As a business concept, it has been traditionally applied to revenue-producing organizations with the aim of increasing profits and gaining competitive advantages. However, in fact, it can also be applied to non-profit organizations such as libraries. In the knowledge economy era, the traditional management mode of library can no longer satisfy readers' need and management requirement. A review of related literature in recent years is carried out for demonstrating the need to apply knowledge management to library management, including connotations, targets, contents, patterns and technologies. The article considers that the study of library knowledge management in China have achieved certain results, but still at their early stages. It points out the shortages of the research and presents relevant expectations to show the way in the future of library knowledge management in China.

Abstract:In lack of appropriate theoretical foundation support, there are many fuzzy understanding to knowledge service in library and information staff. Based on the analysis of concepts and principles related to knowledge service, li-brary knowledge service was the service that be able to more deeply and fully meet the demand of readers explicit and tacit knowledge, could better promote the exchange of readers with knowledge. Abstract:This article gives a concise description of the researches and practices of knowledge management,and then finds the obvious trends that explicit knowledge is prone to be emphasized and tacit knowledge be underes-timated.Such phenomenon doesn't match the key role tacit knowledge played in the knowledge management.By clarifying the knowledge and defining the notion of tacit knowledge,the author elaborates tacit knowledge and holds that the tasks and objectives of tacit knowledge management mainly include recognition,exploitation,retain-ing and innovation of tacit knowledge.

Abstract:Knowledge ecosystem is a higher level of knowledge management stage; it brings new opportunities for the future development of the library. Firstly this paper is study eight basic concepts and features of the connotation of knowledge ecosystem, and development of library knowledge service, and construction of knowledge ecosystem status. The paper focuses on how to building knowledge ecosystem which could bring new development opportunities for library. Finally, the paper study the current status of research library knowledge ecosystem, and study the trends and hot of the library knowledge systems about the future ecological development and construction. It is found that Knowledge Ecosystem achieve library development of new opportunities, such as: remade cultural core value system, build a new knowledge model, develop new knowledge service engine, achieve a comprehensive knowledge of morphological evolution, establish efifcient knowledge exchange network, build strategic books museum community and so on.

Abstract:Abstract: Ancient books form part of the strong cultural heritage of China and are significant examples of unique Chinese traditional culture. With advances in information technology, digitization has become an important method to address the contradiction of preservation versus utilization of ancient books. By looking back at the strategic planning for ancient book digitization at the National Library of China, the fundamental status of ancient books collected there is established and the necessity of constructing digital resources of ancient books and of openly sharing these resources is demonstrated. Practical achievements of the National Library of China's ancient book digitization include self-construction at the library, collection outside of the library, and international cooperation. Problems and challenges in digital resource construction and sharing include establishing unified standards of ancient book digitization systems, establishing a unified release platform, raising the ratio of ancient books digitization, and enhancing the level of knowledge service. A survey of overseas Chinese ancient books and digital cooperation countermeasures and suggestions is included. To enhance access to the wisdom of ancient Chinese books, this paper proposes a National Library service transformation.

Abstract:System of knowledge management stability under the conditions of dynamic changes of social medium objectively depends on the so-called “code of values” or “culture”. Goals of the system functioning, priorities of development, criteria of quality and effectiveness of activities in achieving these objectives depend on the prevailing paradigm in realizing tasks facing the object. The ever-growing stream of information makes the process of taking decisions more and more complicated. Modern research library is a very important structural element of the knowledge society because, on the one hand, it provides free access to information, achievements of science and arts, on the other hand – actively takes part in developing informational and communicational infrastructure as well as science and education. However, to be a direct productive force information has to transform into knowledge. This problem becomes more urgent in the context of the global paradigm – the economy based on knowledge. In this connection on the new stage of social evolution significance of social institutions, including libraries, engaged in producing, storing, processing and disseminating knowledge for their subsequent practical application is growing. The aim of this article is to give a brief review of publications, devoted to building up the system of knowledge management and the place of library in it. Methods, used in the research are: content analyses and generalization of native and foreign publications on the above mentioned problem.
