Abstract:According to the gradual expansion of power grid scale and rapid development of computer technology, the dispatching automation and control system has played an increasingly prominent role in technique support and guarantee for power grid. In this paper we designed a kind of operating monitoring and evaluation software for the smart grid dispatching and control system, and described several key technologies in detail, which includes index acquisition, data statistical analysis and diagnosis, on-line alarming and interface display. The acquired data is composed of FES information, basic data, application and service status, data consistency, which can fully characterize the operating state of the system and provide accurate and reliable data source. The software has been applied and empirically proved in some dispatching organizations to entrance the operation and maintenance level for the system.

Abstract:The main functions and features of the intelligent analysis and decision support system of Zhejiang Power Grid were introduced.This system supports the import and export of BPA、CIM、PSASP、PSSE files.It separately manages the versions of power grid structure,load and output,maintenance plan,and then forms various kinds of operation modes trough mergence.After that,this system can do power flow calculation,short-circuit calculation,transient calculation,and also can analyze the security and stability of the power grid's operation through the static voltage stability analysis,calculation of the transmission interface's thermal capability,security check and so on.The details of calculation and analysis are showed by tree reports,prompts、warnings and aid strategy are given to guide the security operation of the power grid.

Abstract:Based on IEC 61970/IEC 61968 standards,this paper presents power a design principle to construct a common distribution management system(DMS) communication platform in Hangzhou Electric Bureau.Utilizing the powerful platform,the DMS can interconnect with EMS,transformer terminal utility system(TTU) and energy system easily.Furthermore,the common platform can discouple the DMS data and external system data.Meanwhile,the platform can process many kinds of external systems data using standard protocol,which gets the information more controllable.

Abstract:Abstract The electricity information collection system built in China is the world’s largest user-side data collection, monitoring, and control system. With a total coverage of 540 million electricity users, it has played an important role in the safety production and operation management of the power system. The success rate of data collection in the collection system is an important indicator to measure the quality of system operation. This article analyzes and studies the factors that affect the success rate of collection from the dimensions of the main station, channel, terminal, meter, and synthesis. It provides a large amount of experimental and test data and thus obtains methods to improve the success rate of collection. It provides reference and improvement methods for the construction of power system information engineering.

Abstract:With the large-scale promotion of civilian intelligent ammeters, intelligent ammeter's data transmission through the concentrator has become the main way of watt-hour meter's data acquisition. Whether the operation of the concentrator is normal, it will directly affect the collection of intelligent ammeter's data. Working site has been found many cases in which the concentrator is not charged due to box transformer substation power failure, resulting in fault that data collection cannot be returned to the main station system. The main station system is unable to identify this "fault", which can only be found when the maintenance personnel rushes to the scene. They only need to wait for restoring the power supply without any treatment, the concentrator can resume normal work. This fault illusion will lead to unnecessary staff work, reduce working efficiency and cause a waste of human, material, financial and other resources. Thus, the development of the power-on-identification device is an effective way to improve the working efficiency as well as save the operation and maintenance costs.

Abstract:Following the rising situation of energy conservation and environment protection, DSM (Demand Side Management) is greatly developed in the service of electric power supply provided by power companies. Based on a number of provincial related researches, this paper proposes a systematical and comprehensive design for DSM technical support system. The whole in accordance with the model of "decentralized application, centralized data", have established three levels network architecture on provincial, municipal and county, whose unified data centers and application service platform arc the core of provincial power companies. Making full use of existing information resources, the essential function covers the main process, including market analysis and expansion, load forecasting, optimal consumption, load management, energy efficiency and integrated management. Meanwhile, on the basic design features, further plans consist of price assistant decision-making, demand-side management project evaluations.

Abstract:Power quality issues are becoming more critical for high-tech enterprises and grid companies. Many power quality monitoring systems are deployed in recent years. Advanced analysis of monitoring data is not widely applied due to the lackness of data management. In this work, data cleaning technology is introduced to enable advanced study of power quality data, with detailed procedures and software implementation. With power quality monitoring data from Shenzhen Power Supply Company, the effectiveness of data cleaning technology applied for power quality data analysis is demonstrated. Cleaned data that avoid voidness and lackness is more feasible in actual usage, as a good basis for further advanced analysis of power quality.

Abstract:In view of the current problems of miscellaneous data channel, huge-scale information and rough evaluation method in power grid development diagnosis analysis, a study of power grid development diagnosis system is conducted based on multi-source data analysis. With the interface to product management system (PMS), energy management system (EMS), distribution automation system (DAS), electric information acquisition system, and power grid geographic information system (GIS), multi-source data fusion is realized by the integrated multi-platform data acquisition mechanism. And then based on the network topology and the operation data analysis, the studies of integrated diagnostic analysis of power grid, weak link assessment and early warning of power grid and the whole process management of potential problem are conducted to realize the step by step penetration of the state scan and the status promotion of the full voltage level of power grid. The proposed method can provide scientific basis for the preparation and post-evaluation of power grid planning. Field application of Shandong provincial power grid of China illustrates the economic benefit and management benefit of the system.

Abstract:Safety management is essential for production and business enterprise to guarantee the safety of both personnel and property. Safety management practices of power grid enterprises in China have a history of several decades with continuous development and improvement. However, there are still many shortcomings, especially in distribution networks. Distribution network companies in European countries have more mature measures in distribution network safety management, and in particular many of which are applicable to the market-oriented business environments. This paper studies the structure of safety management system for power grid enterprises in China and Europe. Two kinds of management systems are discussed and compared to propose suggestions for future development of power grid safety management in China.

Abstract:State estimation (SE) is indispensable for the situa-tional awareness of power systems. Conventional SE is fed by measurements collected from the supervisory control and data ac-quisition (SCADA) system. In recent years, available data sources have been greatly enriched with the deployment of phasor meas-urement units (PMUs), advanced metering infrastructure (AMI), intelligent electronic devices (IEDs), etc. The integration of multi-ple data sources provides unprecedented opportunities for en-hancing the performance of SE, but also presents major challenges to resolve, including optimal multi-type-sensor co-placement, mul-tiple reporting rates and asynchronization, diverse types of meas-ured quantities, correlations between measurements, integration of online and historical data sources, and system and measurement uncertainties. This paper outlines the state of the art and research opportunities in this area by providing a comprehensive literature review and extensive discussions. It starts by presenting the moti-vations and challenges, followed by a summary of existing data sources for SE in power systems. Subsequently, for both transmis-sion system (static and dynamic) and distribution system SE, ex-isting methods are systematically reviewed and categorized based on the addressed challenges. Interesting attempts of using novel measurements in SE are also studied. Finally, the paper concludes by providing a detailed discussion on the remaining research gaps and future research directions to be explored.

Abstract:Model differences may cause inefficiency in offering data to other applied systems for production management system(PMS) in power transmission and distribution which is the basic data source for Shanghai municipal electric power company.To solve this problem,an analysis about PMS's architecture and data-encapsulated mode was introduced,and then an approach encapsulating PMS to make an interface in the form of component interface specification(CIM) was presented.Some key technologies in the implementation of this project were also discussed.The validity of this method was verified through practical applications.

Abstract:As a large-scale regional power grid to ensure the power supply of the capital, the North China power grid achieved extraordinary leaps and bounds in recent years. With the rapid development of the power grid, higher demands for security and safety have been messioned and production management of transmission and distribution equipment still face many challenges. The large UHV power network structure characterized by large capacity, long distance, west-to-east power transmission and north-to-south power transmission in China has placed more new stringent requirements on the capability of operation, maintenance and control of power transmission and transformation equipments. Moreover, the west-to-east power transmission channels exhibit noticeable micro-topography and micro-meteorology characteristics and the extreme climate such as coating of ice and snow on lines, strong thunderstorm and squall line wind occur more frequently, posing more risks on the safe operation of the equipments. Following the State Grid's strategic objective of building a strong smart grid, North China Grid Company built a smart transmission grid analysis-control system. During the process of system construction, many techniques such as internet of things, virtual earth, multi-information fusion, communications, information security, equipment analysis and diagnosis and on-site intelligent control have been used. Through this system, equipment status can be observed, the production process can be monitored, and the operational risk can be early warned. The smart transmission grid analysis control system is based on EAM system and supported by GIS. and condition monitoring system. It enables panoramic information interaction, asset performance analysis and intensive field control. With elaborate technical architecture, standard interface specification, modular functional configuration and integrated open platform, the system can provide effecient services for senior executives in dispatching center, production department, science & research institutes and functional units, achieving the goal that equipment state can be observed, production process can be monitored and operation risks can be alarmed in advance. Now this system has already become an enterprise-class, integrated and open platform for condition monitoring for North China Grid Company. It has been used in works of accident rehearsal, daily operation and maintenance, failure analysis and emergency repair. Remarkable economic and social benefits have been achieved by using this system. The development and application of smart transmission grid analysis-control system have comprehensively promoted lean production management, refined cost control, streamlined operation processes and stipulation of a series of working standards. The system provides a full-scale information to the executives, enables panoramic information display to the dispatchers, provides decision and technical support to the production and research departments as well as equipment control of the basic functional units. This system is helpful for our company to make a transfer of the production management from digitalization and visualization to intelligent control.
High-Precision Analysis Using μPMU Data for Smart Substations

Abstract:This paper proposes a correction technique for bad data and high-precision analysis based on micro-phasor measurement unit (μPMU) data for a stable and reliable smart substation. First, a high-precision wide-area monitoring system (WAMS) with 35 μPMUs installed at Korea's Yeonggwang substation, which is connected to renewable energy sources (RESs), is introduced. Time-synchronized μPMU data are collected through the phasor data concentrator (PDC). A pre-processing program is implemented and utilized to integrate the raw data of each μPMU into a single comma-separated values (CSV) snapshot file based on the Timetag. After presenting the technique for identification and correction of event, duplicate, and spike bad data of μPMU, causal relationships are confirmed through the voltage and current fluctuations for a total of five states, such as T/L fault, tap-up, tap-down, generation, and generation shutdown. Additionally, the difference in active power between the T/L and the secondary side of the M.Tr is compared, and the fault ride through (FRT) regulations, when the fault in wind power generation (WP), etc., occurred, is analyzed. Finally, a statistical analysis, such as boxplot and kernel density, based on the instantaneous voltage fluctuation rate (IVFR) is conducted. As a result of the simulation evaluation, the proposed correction technique and precise analysis can accurately identify various phenomena in substations and reliably estimate causal relationships.

Abstract:The DC power supply(DPS) system is an important part of the substation. In order to adapt to the current unmanned operation and maintenance mode of the substation and the new requirements of state maintenance and management, it must develop in the general direction of digitalization, programming and intelligence. To ensure the safety and stability of the new operation and maintenance mode of the power system. Through the design and application research of the DPS remote monitoring system of the substation, the real-time data collection of the domestic DPS device is realized, the collected data information is summarized, and the cooperation of the remote control center and related operation and maintenance management teams is requested. The management software effectively analyzes the collected equipment operating parameters and real-time data, extracts fault information and hidden dangerous data required for operation and maintenance, which is helpful for the scientific management and risk prediction of DC power equipment in substations. The operation and maintenance personnel and the DPS system of the substation ensure the operation in a high-quality and healthy state and the safe and stable operation of the entire power network. This paper studies the design principle, structure and function of the DPS remote monitoring system used in the substation. On this basis, in-depth study of battery voltage equalization technology, internal resistance measurement technology and other core technologies related to DPS remote monitoring system design. In order to realize the online monitoring, analysis and diagnosis of the operation information data of DPS devices such as remote charging and discharging operation safety management strategy, DC power information collection and communication network design, the theoretical and technical foundations have been formulated.

Abstract:With the increasing of social electricity consumption, power engineering is gradually facing severe challenges in the process of development. Due to the complexity and particularity of power engineering, in the actual construction process, some construction management units, construction units fail to implement the relevant safety management regulations, easy to cause safety accidents, safety management issues are very important. Therefore, this paper discusses the current safety management of power engineering construction site from the perspective of power supply enterprises, and analyzes the current safety management status of power engineering from three aspects: personnel safety awareness, safety education and training, and safety management methods. In view of these three aspects, management methods and effective countermeasures such as establishing safety awareness of all staff, strengthening safety education and training, improving safety risk prevention and control system, strengthening outsourcing team management and construction site management and control are proposed, which provide reference and suggestions for the healthy and stable development of the power supply industry.

Abstract:Due to rapid development of the domestic communication industry, energy consumption on network operation and maintenance has become one of the main energy consumptions in China. With the aim of obtaining meticulous managementon enterprise power, raising electricity availability and evaluating the effect of energy-saving measures, it’s crucial for us to develop an intelligent system for data analysis. We first introduces a management system based on B/S architecture and MVC framework with multi-functions of information inquiry, budget analysis, energy management and etc.; and then focus on keytechnologies such as database modeling, database index, stored procedure and trigger and least square method. This intelligent system has been successfully employed in a communication enterprise and has been proved accurate, stable and efficient.

Abstract:To deal with the frequent failures of provincial gateway measurement in recent years,this paper develops the measurement monitoring and alarming system with specific software and hardware implementation. By extending the 102 communication protocol,this system uses the failure monitoring terminal to collect events such as voltage lose, current lose,TV failure and power imbalance in real time,and transmits them to master station through PSTN or LAN. These events are used for failure verification with EMS / SCADA and the electrical energy acquisition system in-formation. By means of SMA massage,IMAP mail and online warning,the system reminds OAM staff of processing the information in time. Furthermore,a multi - electricity compensation technique is introduced. Electricity compen-sation formula is automatically generated according to different types of failures,and the compensated electricity will be verified and compensated by balance measures such as the electricity of the busbar,the 3 - side electricity of the main transformer and the electricity of the opposite wires.
