Abstract:Concerning the nonlinearity,time-variant and imprecise model in the Variable Air Volume(VAV) air-conditioning systems,an adaptive variable discourse fuzzy control was proposed to improve the dynamic performance and accuracy of the control system.Based on derivation of VAV air-conditioning terminal model,simulation was conducted.The simulation results show that compared with the traditional PID control and conventional fuzzy control,variable discourse fuzzy control improves the system dynamic and static characteristics and steady state accuracy.Therefore,the fuzzy controller's performance has been greatly improved with good control effect.

Abstract:EDM is a complex time-varying system, and its online parameters have a great influence on processing stability. In order to overcome the difficulty of EDM online parameters control, this paper designed a kind of intelligent controller, based on fuzzy control and ANN technology, to implement real-time control of EDM online parameters. The simulation results show that this controller can improve machining efficiency and enhance processing stability.

Abstract:An adaptive predictive functional control algorithm based on T-S fuzzy model for discrete-time nonlinear systems is proposed. In this algorithm the consequent parameters of T-S fuzzy model are identified by the weighting recursive least square method, Parameters of the fuzzy model are used to directly recursively compute the model prediction output, and needn't solve Diophantine equations. Analysis solution of the predictive control input is derived. Simulation result shows that the proposed algorithm is an effective control strategy with excellent tracing ability and strong robustness.

Abstract:When working continuously under high temperature, pump controlled motor system adopting conventional PID controller shows poor dynamic performance due to unmatched system model. Aiming at the problem, selfadapting fuzzy PID control is suggested to improve the dynamic performance. The system Eigen-parameters under high temperature and design method of self- adapting fuzzy PID controller are analyzed. The simulation results show that, compared with conventional PID controller, the self-adapting fuzzy PID controller provides faster response and better dynamic characteristics and demonstrates stronger adaptability and robustness against unmatched model.
Decentralized Adaptive Iterative Learning Control for Interconnected Systems with Uncertainties

Abstract:In many applications, the system dynamics allows the decomposition into lower dimensional subsystems with interconnections among them. This decomposition is motivated by the ease and flexibility of the controller design for each subsystem. In this paper, a decentralized model reference adaptive iterative learning control scheme is developed for interconnected systems with model uncertainties. The interconnections in the dynamic equations of each subsystem are considered with unknown boundaries. The proposed controller of each subsystem depends only on local state variables without any information exchange with other subsystems. The adaptive parameters are updated along iteration axis to compensate the interconnections among subsystems. It is shown that by using the proposed decentralized controller, the states of the subsystems can track the desired reference model states iteratively. Simulation results demonstrate that, utilizing the proposed adaptive controller, the tracking error for each subsystem converges along the iteration axis.

Abstract:Base on the uncertain interconnected systems with state delay, a decentralized model reference adaptive iterative learning control is proposed in this paper. The proposed controller of each subsystem only relies on local state variables with no any information exchanges with other subsystems. In order to eliminate the effects of interconnections, state delays and uncertainties, the adaptive parameters are updated along iteration axis. Simulation results demonstrate, utilizing the proposed adaptive controller, the tracking error for each subsystem converges along the iteration axis.

Abstract:When a traditional PID controller or a traditional composite fuzzy controller is applied to the active magnetic bearing system,it is difficult to achieve the good control performances because of some contradictions between its static and dynamic performances.Therefore,an adaptive fuzzy controller with intelligent integrator which was a combination of an adaptive fuzzy controller and an intelligent integrator in parallel was proposed.The performances of the PID controller,the traditional composite fuzzy controller and the adaptive fuzzy controller with intelligent integrator applying in the active magnetic bearing system were simulated and compared.The simulation results verify the advantages of the adaptive fuzzy controller with intelligent integrator.

Using fuzzy inferences method, the PID parameters can be adjusted adaptively on line for the varying state of the system. This approach has more significant perfermence and robustness than conventional PID controllers in any case. The simulation results show the effectiveness of the method.

Abstract:Temperature control systems are characterized as non-linear,large time-delay and time-varying parameters.This paper designs the fuzzy immune PID controller for them.The controller absorbs all kinds of good points in fuzzy logic,immune mechanism and PID tuning.It combines nonlinear effects in fuzzy control,adaptive ability in immune control and broad application as PID control.The paper introduces the control principle,design approach and Matlab simulation of fuzzy immune PID controller.The simulation result shows that the controller can guarantee the closed-loop robust stability with continuous interference and make the system work well in both dynamic and static state.

Abstract:For effects of the parameters of fuzzy controller with nonlinear scaling factors on a system's performance and the parameters are interactive, this paper proposes a parameters self-adaptive fuzzy controller based on genetic algorithm (GA). Simulation results show that the proposed fuzzy controller has better dynamics and static property. When the parameters or structure of plant is changed, the presented parameters self-adaptive fuzzy controller can maintain good performance indicators and has stronger robustness.

Abstract:This paper presents a control strategy that enhances fuzzy controller with self-learning capability for achieving prescribed control objectives with the use of artificial neural network. The neural network,termed CPN(counter propagation networds),is trained to establish fuzzy associations between the input and output fuzzy subsets. The fuzzy logic controller based on CPN can refine the fuzzy if-then rules if human experts are not all available and it also improves the system property such as the robustness and fault-tolerance. The air cushion headbox system is employed as a test-bed to demonstrate the efffectiveness of the proposed control scheme.

Abstract:An intelligent controller based on a self-learning interval type-II fuzzy neural network is proposed to make the motion controller of the industrial intelligent robot with good adaptability. This controller has a parallel structure and contains an interval type-II fuzzy neural network and a conventional PD controller. For the design of the interval type-II fuzzy neural network, the interval type-II fuzzy set is established using the slave design method. In the design process of the interval type-II fuzzy set of the front piece, a dual sequence symmetric trapezoidal subordinate function arrangement method is proposed, which makes the self-learning law and stability analysis of the system in an analytic form and facilitates the implementation of the algorithm in hardware. In the design of the neural network self-learning law, a parametric self-learning algorithm based on sliding mode control theory is established to adjust the structural parameters of the interval type-II fuzzy neural network online, and the stability of the system is proved by using Lyapunov's stability theorem. Three sets of validation simulation experiments are given in conjunction with the trajectory tracking problem of the Delta parallel robot. The simulation results show that, in the presence of system uncertainty, the intelligent controller based on interval self-learning interval type-II fuzzy neural network can significantly improve the trajectory tracking accuracy and robustness of the system and make the control system highly adaptable to the environment. Experiments of intelligent control system based on self-learning interval type-II fuzzy neural network and experiments of reusable particle swarm optimal motion planning method are designed, and the effectiveness of the intelligent control system and motion planning method is verified on the experimental platform. The experimental results show that the intelligent control system based on the self-learning interval type-II fuzzy neural network can effectively improve the accuracy and stability of robot trajectory tracking control, and the reusable particle swarm optimal motion planning method can quickly solve the robot motion planning problem with complex constraints online.

Abstract:The optimal control of nonlinear time-varying systems, particularly when the mathematical model of the system is unavailable or inexact, is an interesting and difficult control problem. This paper outlines a methodology for the design of an intelligent controller to perform optimal control of a nonlinear system adaptively, using emerging technologies of fuzzy logic (FL) and artificial neural networks (ANN). FL is utilized to incorporate the available knowledge into the control system, and ANN technology is applied to adaptively provide an optimal control strategy based on some performance criteria. The technique is tested on a system that consists of a DC motor (a linear time-invariant (LTI) system) and a thermal system (a time-varying nonlinear system). Performance criteria such as tracking accuracy, cost, robustness, are considered, and the results are presented in this paper

Abstract:To resolve the difficult control issue of intelligent new energy automobile in the process of vehicle control, the study starts from the vehicle motion mode and splits the vehicle control into two parts, transverse control and longitudinal control. Among them, the longitudinal speed control is controlled by an improved adaptive PID model, while the lateral angle control is dominated by an indistinct adaptive PID model, afterwards longitudinal speed control is combined with the lateral angle control for joint control. Finally, the study uses the actual lane simulation to verify the three perspectives of transverse control, longitudinal control and joint control respectively. It shows that the longitudinal control and lateral control are well realized with the improved adaptive PID model control effect at 8km, 15km and 20km per hour. Meanwhile, maximum trajectory error of the combined direction and transverse dominate is always lower than 0.5m at vehicle speeds of 8km/h, 16km/h and 20km/h in the integrated road environment and the combined longitudinal speed and transverse angle control performance is good in the curves. This shows that the model designed by the research can realize adaptive real-time precision control.

Abstract:The existing control theory is divided into two parts in this paper, i.e. precise control theory and fuzzy control theory. After investigating the advantages and disadvantages of the precise control and fuzzy control respectively, the so-called fuzzy-precise combined control strategy is proposed from the view of practical application in the paper. This new strategy will bring maximum control benefits with minimum design efforts. As the application background, the fuzzy-precise combined control strategy has applied into four full scale paper machine control systems, and all of them got good control results.
