Abstract:With the development of blue and white ceramics during the Ming and Qing Dynasties maritime ceramic culture grew rapidly.And the rising of Zhangzhou kilns was the typical example of this development.The rise of Zhangzhou kilns was the result of the moving of manufacturing of blue and white ceramics from inland Jingdezhen to the coastal areas of Fujian and Guangdong.The similarities of blue and white ceramic techniques between Zhangzhou and Jingdezhen were the evidence of the industrial shifting.The rise of Zhangzhou kilns was based on the maritime cultural and economic system of southeastern coast of China.The prosperity of the maritime social economy in Fujian and Guangdong with Yuegang as the centre and the gradual coming of Portuguese,Spanish and Dutch merchant ships were the extrinsic reasons of the rise.

Abstract:The embroidered subject ″Cujin″ was frequently mentioned in the poems of the Tang and Five Dynasties.Five embroidered pieces of clothes made with the skill of ″Cujin″ have been unearthed from the underground palace of Famen Temple;they are the real proof of this object and lend support to the notion in poems.At the same time,they reveal a degree of Buddhist significance.The ″Cujin″ is a kind of embroidery craft which uses tightly twisted gold threads to make wrinkled fabric.This kind of embroidery shows the most intensive texture and the most beautiful body.It was very popular among the royals and some nobles in the Tang Dynasty and was often used for daily use or decoration.So poets like to use ″Cujin″ in their poems to show the living situations of the aristocratic society.Based on its superiority,″Cujin″ makes a big difference in representation in poems when compared to ″Panjin″,″Lüjin″ and ″Tiejin″.It can be concluded that this special object in poems has a rich cultural connotation.

Abstract:Sangyu Shutan is a collection of essays and articles by Zhou Jing, contemporary Shandong book collector and Qilu Book Society editor. It collects the accounts of book people and book-related matters from different periods, as well as 26 articles on the study of local documents in Qilu. The collection is divided into four parts: the Fragrance of Books with Wormholes, Asking About the Pond in the Square, the High Pine and Cloudy Scenery, and the Miscellaneous Compilation by the Mountain. The article comprehensively introduces the content and structure of Sangyu Shutan and analyzes Zhou Jing’s book culture sentiment and his main contributions to book culture. In doing so, the paper explicitly reveals and promotes the humanistic spirit of contemporary book collectors.

Abstract:China has a long history of collecting rare stones and developed a special cultural system of rare stones. Early in Han dynasty, rare stones were placed in royal gardens. During Sui and Tang dynasty, especially in Song dynasty, rare stones were collected and placed in royal garden in large scale. In Qing dynasty collection and composition of rare stones reached a high level. Collection of rare stones is an important phenomenon in ancient China, so it is very significant to have a study of culture of rare stones in royal garden.

Abstract:Full of innovative consciousness in both thinking and writing skills,Idle Talk Under the Bean Arbor is an excellent work in the ealy Qing Dynasty.The very expression the Bean Arbor suggests the natural traits and cultural elements in the area of Jiangnan.Its criticism of the fourflushers in Su Zhou reveals the circumstance and human relationship in this specific district of Jiang Nan from another perspective,while the story of Xishi reflects the tradition of Jiang Nan culture.All these cultural factors in local conditions,social customs and history build an indissoluble bond between Idle Talk Under the Bean Arbor and Jiang Nan culture.Hopefully new clues or reference about its still unknown author and writing backgroud may be found through a meticulous examination on Jiang Nan culture.

Abstract:The simple and natural stone scenery is a prominent feature of Japanese courtyard gardens,and its changes ran through the development process of the whole gardening history. In long history of cultural exchanges with China,the essence of traditional Chinese culture has been rooted into Japanese gardens continuously,which has a great influence on the development of its stone scenery. Based on the collection of relevant information of Sino-Japan cultural exchanges and Japanese gardens and stones,the stone scenery conditions of 27 representative gardens was chosen and investigated. Combined with the results,the development and changes of gardening stones were summarized,and the influence process and pattern of traditional Chinese culture were discussed. It is hoped to better study the essence of traditional Chinese and Japanese garden cultures through such discussion.

Abstract:Using the method of cultural anthropology,this article indicates that Qiong-kiln dustpan-form inkstone was created on the base of the living tool dustpan's shape under the specific social background,by discussing the relationship between shape and surroundings Qiong-kiln dustpan-form inkstone.It also points out that the structure and usage mode are related to education environment of Shu-area in Tang dynasty.The circumstance of the extensive usage of classical dustpan-form inkstone and the evolution of special-shaped dustpan-form inkstone were formed through the progress of Qiong-kiln ceramic technology,the development of sociaI culture,the environment changes of way of using and the evolution of the literati'spirit character.

Abstract:Integrating methods of field survey,questionnaire survey,expert interview and internet survey,the researchers investigated on the situation of public collection of stone inscriptions and rubbings in Guangzhou Area in January,2010.According to the feedbacks,the paper firstly summarizes generally the situation of preserving,processing and using of public collection of stone rubbings in Guangzhou Area.Then based on the theory research,it verifies the local culture values of the stone inscriptions in certain areas and discusses some ideas of building up local stone inscriptions and rubbings databases,including highlighting the local culture characters and deep disclosure of the literature information carried by stone inscriptions.

Abstract:The unearthing of a large number of red-yellow colored stones in Yuhui Site, Bengbu city, Anhui province of China, which was the only site of Longshan culture appointed by "Origin of the Chinese Civilization Project" in the Huaihe River basin, has drawn a widespread attention in archaeology. The present research was undertaken to examine elements, mineral composition and thermal history of one red-yellow color stone in different positions, classified according to specialized colors, by means of synchrotron radiation X-ray fluorescence (SR-XRF), X-ray diffraction (XRD), laser Raman spectroscopy (LRS), electron probe micro-analysis (EPMA) and thermoluminescence (TL). The results show that the main body of the color stone is limonite with a large amount of quartz inclusion. The yellow substances on the surface layer of the color stone were identified as goethite (alpha-FeOOH), and the red ones as red ochre (alpha-Fe2O3+clay+silica). The internal yellow brown substances inside the stone are mainly aphanitic goethite with a number of chromites and manganese dioxide, and also with small quantity of barite and bismuth. And the color stones are without historical firing treatment. These kinds of special polymetallic ores with unique nature and complex geologic history, which were unearthed in the late neolithic site with large numbers, may be closely related to some kind of primitive religious beliefs and special sacrificial practices.

Abstract:The Dawenkou Culture is formed on the basis of the Beixin Culture and meanwhile deeply affected by the northward expanding Longqiuzhuang Culture in the Jianghuai area.After its formation,it continued to interact intercommunicated with cultures in the Jianghuai and Jiangzhe areas,which were influenced by the Yangshao Culture.Thus cultures in the Haidai area became fairly similar to the cultures in the Jianghuai and Jiangzhe areas,in terms forming formed a cultural system that produced pottery ware types such as Ding-tripod,Dou(stemmed dish),jar,cup and Gui(or He,wine vessel).From the view of this point,previous definitions of the "Qinglian'gang Culture" is approved to be relevant.
