Abstract:The elements of traditional clothing must take fashion as its carrier to transfer the value because fashion is the main factor that makes Chinese traditional culture enjoyed by other ethnic groups. Chinese Traditional Clothing Arts has its profound cultural background and broad space for re-creation which is inexhaustible inspiration sources for designers. However, due to a late start, there is still a large gap between the design and theoretical research of Chinese-style clothing and other designs with strong American and Japanese colors in the market. This paper takes the Chinese traditional elements used by fashion designers at home and abroad as the breakthrough point. Through in-depth study of Chinese Traditional Clothing Arts and its cultural connotation, it explores the integration between traditional Chinese elements and fashion design and also puts forward some distinctive ideas about Chinese clothing fashion design.

Abstract:Chinese clothing, especially women's clothing, is very exquisite. Not only the texture of the clothes but also the expression of each clothing style. A lot of information can be reflected in women's clothing. Through the combination of documents and historical materials, this paper analyzes the aesthetic characteristics and cultural connotations of Chinese women's clothing. The results show that Chinese traditional culture is all-encompassing and is the spiritual source of contemporary Chinese clothing design. From the choice of fabric to the colors and embroidery patterns, there is a unique meaning and status symbol. In the end, it is found that the influence of traditional Chinese women's clothing is profound. Women's clothing has not only become powerful evidence for ancient civilization study but also can make future generations strongly feel the spiritual abundance of ancient people. People can only effectively communicate profound cultural implications in fashion design and develop and innovate based on inheriting heritage by deeply comprehending traditional clothing culture and respecting its aesthetic meaning. The proper approach to carrying down traditional clothing culture is to continually improve upon, advance, and transcend it. Rather than concentrating just on the form of traditional Chinese cultural aspects, the vitality of traditional Chinese clothing culture lies in the harmonious fusion of form and connotation.

Abstract:Chinese traditional clothing contains rich cultural connotations. Today, after the reform and opening up, the clothing industry has developed vigorously. People gradually start pay attention to the local clothing culture, and pursue cultural connotation contained in clothing. For modern designers, the traditional clothing and its cultural background are their creation inspirations during creation phases, and they are also one of the expressive elements preferred by designers at home and abroad. Inheriting traditional clothing culture not only means that it needs us to turn the traditional clothing elements into a symbol, but also needs us to further understand the background and connotations of traditional clothing culture. The work of design without culture is like a gorgeous shell that can't stand the test of history. Abstract:Countries around the world have different historical development processes in different periods of agricultural economic environment, and have formed different costume culture characteristics. This study analyzes the differences in aesthetic standards in Chinese and Western clothing cultures, as well as the differences between Chinese and Western costumes in color design, structural design, and dress methods, and elaborates the main reasons for the differences between Chinese and Western clothing cultures. The study focuses on the characteristics and differences of traditional clothing art culture in various places, but because of the differences in historical conditions, lifestyles, psychological qualities, and traditional ideas and cultural concepts, there are great differences between the traditional costume art culture concepts in China and the West. Based on this, the study specifically explains the difference between the two through the comparison of the aesthetic characteristics of the traditional costume art culture concepts in the Middle East and the West, and the difference in the expression of the Middle East and Western clothing art.

Abstract:In the context of modern processes of global integration and the comprehensive strengthening of China, the desire of world culture for integration also contributes to the development of global heterogeneity, localization and the rise of national culture. The Chinese civilization is currently the only ancient civilization that has not been interrupted in its development. Throughout the history of more than five thousand years in the course of its development, Chinese civilization has been able to form a unique cultural tradition that has become a spiritual source for the Chinese people. Since China's culture is an important part of the history of world civilization, its traditional culture can be represented in various forms through various cultural media, such as modern clothing. This article examines the reflection of Chinese traditional culture manifested in modern clothing both in China and abroad, analyzes, studies, compares and summarizes the differences in the language and methods of expression of Chinese traditional culture between the West and China. Abstract:The object of the study is clothing as a sociocultural phenomenon, a product of material and spiritual cultures. The evolution of clothing is closely related to sociocultural changes in society. The subject of the study is the transformation of clothing in China under the influence of political, economic, social, and aesthetic factors after the beginning of Chinese economic reform and opening up policy. The significant changes have taken place in Chinese clothing, the main of which was the transition from a uniform style of clothing for the whole country to a variety of fashion and styles, as well as the revival of traditional clothing. The transformation in the style and production cycle of clothing in China is based on objective (technology development, market laws, global fashion trends) and subjective reasons (psychology, personal preferences and aesthetic tastes of consumers). There is always a concept behind the behavior in clothes, and the desire for beauty is the main driving force behind the development of clothing. The social psychology of imitation and difference contributes to the spread of fashion trends in clothing. The author's special contribution to the topic is a detailed examination of the impact on the transformation of clothing of political, economic, sociocultural, aesthetic factors, as well as cultural exchanges and folk traditions. The author traces the sequence of fashion trends in China in recent decades. Сontemporary changes in Chinese clothing culture are not limited to simply borrowing Western trends, but are accompanied by the emergence of postmodern ideas and the promotion of the globalization process, which leads not only to the technological and design enrichment of clothing characteristics in China, but also to the growth of cultural awareness and the revivalization of traditional and local cultures.

Abstract:There are significant differences between traditional Chinese clothing aesthetics and Western clothing aesthetics in terms of materials and design styles, colors and patterns, as well as cutting and dressing styles. Traditional Chinese clothing focuses on natural materials, details, and craftsmanship, and emphasizes overall balance. While Western clothing tends to various kinds of materials, personality traits, and fashion trends, they pursue uniqueness and innovation more. In terms of colors and patterns, traditional Chinese clothing prefers bright colors and traditional patterns, emphasizing connotation and symbolism. Western clothing, on the other hand, explores diverse color combinations, advocates abstract and modern patterns, and emphasizes visual expressions and fashion sense. In terms of cutting and dressing styles, traditional Chinese clothing emphasizes streamlined and curvaceous beauty, pursuing overall harmony. Western clothing prefers simple and exaggerated cutting styles, emphasizing personal style and free matching.

Abstract:Dress is a part of Chinese cultural heritage that has fascinated Western audiences for centuries. On the National List of Intangible Cultural Heritage of China, there are items related to textiles, embroideries and certain examples of Chinese clothing. This article analyses issues connected with the different uses of Chinese dress in the West. To fashion theorists such as Bell, Wilson, Sapir and Veblen, Chinese dress was the opposite of modern Western clothing and did not deserve to be called fashion. However, researchers such as Welters, Lillethun and Craik have opposed viewing fashion theory through a Eurocentric prism in their desire to rewrite fashion history. Fashion designers drew ideas from China, treating it as a source of inspiration to create their own original designs. For some of them, such as Yves Saint Laurent, it was a China of their imagination. In certain cases, they made use of porcelain designs or dragon motifs in their own collections, for instance, in designs by Cavalli and Ford. The incorporation of Chinese garments into Western collections has also become visible.

Abstract:Textile and garment industry has been an important part of Chinese national economy since ancient times, and is an important export foreign exchange earning industry in China. Abstract:Abstract The purpose of this study is to discuss how “Chinese-style” clothing is integrated into the international fashion market by applying traditional Chinese clothing design elements in the context of globalization. This research defined four design elements of traditional Chinese clothing through literature analysis, which mainly consisted of colors, silhouettes, fabrics and crafts. Then professional researchers selected four representative enterprises oriented to the international market from a large quantity of “Chinese-style” enterprises and compared the design works officially released by the four “Chinese-style” enterprises with the four design elements by Nvivo12. Through analyzing 1,176 pieces of Chinese-style design works of the four representative enterprises, the study found that “Chinese-style” enterprises oriented to the international market comprehensively apply traditional Chinese clothing design elements to conduct innovative design to show their own cultural identities to a large extent.
