Abstract:In this paper, we study m-point boundary value problems for higher order ordinary differential equation {y(2n)(t)=f(t,y(t),y″(t),…,y(2(n−1))(t)),0≤t≤1,y(2i)(0)=0,y(2i)(1)=∑j=1m−2kijy(2i)(ξj),0≤i≤n−1, where f is allowed to change sign, and 0=ξ0<ξ1<ξ2<⋯<ξm−2<ξm−1=1. We show sufficient conditions for the existence of at least two positive solutions by applying a new fixed point theorem in cones and the associated Green’s function. In particular, the second positive solutions for the above problem is not concave.

Abstract:In this paper, we study a two-point boundary value problem involving p -Laplacian and its relationship with the associated discrete ones. Specifically, by using discrete variational methods, we first obtain a sequence of positive solutions for the associated discrete two-point boundary value problems corresponding to different step lengths. Then, utilizing the sequence of positive solutions, we construct a sequence of continuous functions which can be shown to be precompact. Finally, we prove that the limit function of the convergent subsequence is the desired positive solution. In particular, our result covers the cases when the nonlinear function in the equation is -superlinear and asymptotically -linear.

Abstract:By using the saddle point theorem, some new existence theorems are obtained for second-order Hamiltonian systems with impulsive effects in the cases when the gradient of the nonlinearity grows sublinearly and grows linearly respectively. Abstract:In the present paper,we present an analytical polynomial particular solutions method(MPPS)for solving various ordinary differential operators in the cases of timeindependent and time-dependent equations.By using these formulae,the solutions can be written explicitly in terms of monomial and we can obtain the approximate polynomial particular solutions for linear or nonlinear differential operators.For example,these formulae can be implemented to solve the differential system with discontinuous right hand side term.A series of numerical examples have been given with excellent results.These results show that our proposed method has high accuracy and corresponding errors are very stable for higher order polynomial basis functions.
