No relevant changes to the protocol / registration were noted and deviations from the protocol were not described within the paper. What was published is, in effect, a different trial to that described in the trial registration and the registration number cited in the published paper is inaccurate. Inclusion of inaccurate information in the material submitted for peer review is a violation of publishing ethics standards. Abstract:Objective To explore the childbirth expectations and related factors of Chinese expectant mothers.Methods A total of 190 expectant mothers were chosen and the Chinese version of the Childbirth Expectation Questionnaire was used for investigation.Results The expectant mothers had a higher level of childbirth expectations in the aspects of caring environment,control and participation,spousal supports and medical supports.Conversely,their expectations toward labor pain and their response were relatively lower.The level of expectant mothers' childbirth expectations varied with family income and preference of partner accompanied labor(P0.05).Conclusion Maternity healthcare providers should pay close attention to expectant mothers' childbirth expectations,and improve the medical and nursing care service to promote positive childbirth experiences and satisfaction for expectant mothers.
