The reports were submitted from email accounts which were provided to the journal as suggested reviewers during the submission of the article. Although purportedly real reviewer accounts, the Editor has concluded that these were not of appropriate, independent reviewers. Also, the article duplicates significant parts of a paper that had already appeared in Current Medicinal Chemistry 26 (2019) 4918-4943 https://doi.org/10.2174/0929867326666190507082559. This represents a clear violation of the fundamentals of peer review, our publishing policies, and publishing ethics standards. Apologies are offered to the readers of the journal that this was not detected during the submission process. This article has been retracted at the request of the Editor-in-Chief of Quaternary International. The article is a duplicate of a paper that has already been published in Episodes 37 (2014) 122–128. Redundant publications overweigh the relative importance of published findings and distort the academic record of the authors. One of the conditions of submission of a paper for publication is therefore that authors declare explicitly that the paper has not been previously published and is not under consideration for publication elsewhere. As such this article represents a misuse of the scientific publishing system. The scientific community takes a very strong view on this matter and apologies are offered to readers of the journal that this was not detected during the submission process.
