Abstract:In this paper, we introduce and study a system of variational inclusions with P–η-accretive operators in real q-uniformly smooth Banach spaces. By using the resolvent operator technique associated with P–η-accretive operators, we prove the existence and uniqueness of solutions for this system of variational inclusions and construct a Mann iterative algorithm to approximate the unique solution. The results in this paper extend and improve some known results in the literature.

Abstract:In this paper, we introduce and study a new system of variational inclusions with (A, η, m)-accretive operators which contains variational inequalities, variational inclusions, systems of variational inequalities and systems of variational inclusions in the literature as special cases. Abstract:Consider the following variational inclusion problem: where f is differentiable in a neighbourhood of a solution and g is differentiable at , and F is a set-valued mapping, and the method introduced in Jean-Alexis and Pietrus [C. Jean-Alexis and A. Pietrus, On the convergence of some methods for variational inclusions, Rev. R. Acad. Cien. serie A. Mat. 102(2) (2008), pp. 355–361] for solving this problem: where ∇f(x) denotes the Fréchet derivative of f at x and [x, y; g] the first-order divided difference of g on the points x and y. Local converge analysis are provided for the method under the weaker conditions than Jean-Alexis and Pietrus (2008). Moreover, if ∇f and the first-order divided difference of g are p-Hölder continuous at a solution, then we show that this method converges superlinearly. In particular, our results extend the corresponding ones Jean-Alexis and Pietrus (2008), and fix a gap in the proof in (Jean-Alexis and Pietrus (2008), Theorem 1).

Abstract:This work focused on the investigation of a generalized variation inclusion problem. The resolvent operator for generalized $ \eta $-co-monotone mapping was structured, the Lipschitz constant was estimated and its relationship with the graph convergence was accomplished. An Ishikawa type iterative algorithm was designed by incorporating the resolvent operator and total asymptotically non-expansive mapping. By employing the novel implication of graph convergence and analyzing the convergence of the considered iterative method, the common solution of the generalized variational inclusion and the set of fixed points of a total asymptotically non-expansive mapping was obtained. Moreover, a generalized resolvent dynamical system was investigated. Some of its attributes were discussed and implemented to examine the considered generalized variation inclusion problem.

Abstract:A mixed monotone variational inequality (MMVI) problem in a Hilbert space is formulated to find a point such that for all , where is a monotone operator and is a proper, convex, and lower semicontinuous function on . Iterative algorithms are usually applied to find a solution of an MMVI problem. We show that the iterative algorithm introduced in the work of Wang et al., (2001) has in general weak convergence in an infinite-dimensional space, and the algorithm introduced in the paper of Noor (2001) fails in general to converge to a solution.

Abstract:In this work, we investigate a contraction-type method for solving monotone variational inclusion problems in real Hilbert spaces. We obtain strong convergence theorems for two algorithms with a self-adaptive step size for solving monotone variational inclusions. The advantage of our algorithms is that we do not require a cocoercivity assumption nor do we need to know the Lipschitz-type constant of the single-valued operator. Moreover, a convergence rate is derived in the case where one of the operators is maximally and strongly monotone, and the other is monotone and Lipschitz continuous. The performance of our proposed methods is illustrated by numerical experiments regarding signal recovery. Our results improve and extend some known results, and our experiments show that our proposed algorithms are efficient and outperform other algorithms which are available in the literature.

Abstract:This paper focuses on a system of differential inclusions expressing hemivariational inequalities driven by competing operators constructed with p-Laplacians that involve two real parameters. The existence of a generalized solution is shown by means of an approximation process through approximate solutions in finite dimensional spaces. When the parameters are negative, the generalized solutions become weak solutions. The main novelty of this work is the solvability of systems of differential inclusions for which the ellipticity condition may fail.

By using the fixed point theorem of Nadler, we prove the existence of solutions for this general system of generalized mixed quasi-variational-like inclusions and its special cases. The results in this paper unify, extend and improve some known results in the literature. The novel proof method is simpler than those iterative algorithm approach for proving the existence of solutions of all classes of system of set-valued variational inclusions in the literature.

Abstract:In this paper, we are interested in studying the asymptotic behavior of the solutions of differential inclusions governed by maximally monotone operators. In the case where the LaSalle's invariance principle is inconclusive, we provide a refined version of the invariance principle theorem. This result derives from the problem of locating the $\omega$-limit set of a bounded solution of the dynamic. In addition, we propose an extension of LaSalle's invariance principle, which allows us to give a sharper location of the $\omega$-limit set. The provided results are given in terms of nonsmooth Lyapunov pair-type functions.

Abstract:This paper investigates the problem of finding a point lying in the intersection of the set of solutions of a system of generalized nonlinear variational-like inclusions and the set of fixed points of a total asymptotically nonexpansive mapping. To achieve this aim, a new iterative algorithm is suggested. Finally, the strong convergence and stability of the sequence generated by our proposed iterative algorithm to a common point of the above two sets are proved. The results presented in this paper are new, and improve and generalize many known corresponding results.

Abstract:In this paper, we discuss variational inequality (VI) problems without monotonicity from the perspective of convergence of projection-type algorithms. In particular, we identify existing conditions as well as present new conditions that are sufficient to guarantee convergence. The first half of the paper focuses on the case where a Minty solution exists (also known as Minty condition), which is a common assumption in the recent developments for non-monotone VI. The second half explores alternative sufficient conditions that are different from the existing ones such as monotonicity or Minty condition, using an algorithm-based approach. Through examples and convergence analysis, we show that these conditions are capable of characterizing different classes of VI problems where the algorithms are guaranteed to converge.

Abstract:In this paper we investigate an evolution problem (SDQHVI) which constitutes of the second order differential inclusion driven by a quasi-variational–hemivariational inequality (QHVI) with perturbation operator in Banach spaces. Unlike the existing literature on differential inclusions, on the one hand, the second order differential operator is not assumed to be compact; on the other hand, the solvability of the inequality is proved under non-coercive condition. More precisely, first, it is shown that the solution set of the QHVI with perturbation operator is nonempty, bounded, closed and convex under the KKM theorem and the Minty formulation. Then, an associated multivalued map with the solution set of the QHVI with perturbation operator is introduced, and we prove that it is upper semicontinuous and measurable. Finally, by utilizing Kakutani–Fan–Glicksberg fixed point theorem, a weak topology technique and properties of strong continuous cosine operators, we prove the existence of mild solutions for SDQHVI.

Abstract:We establish necessary and sufficient conditions for viability of evolution inclusions with locally monotone operators in the sense of Liu and Röckner [J. Funct. Anal., 259 (2010), pp. 2902-2922]. This allows us to prove wellposedness of lower semicontinuous solutions of Hamilton-Jacobi-Bellman equations associated to the optimal control of evolution inclusions. Thereby, we generalize results in Bayraktar and Keller [J. Funct. Anal., 275 (2018), pp. 2096-2161] on Hamilton-Jacobi equations in infinite dimensions with monotone operators in several ways. First, we permit locally monotone operators. This extends the applicability of our theory to a wider class of equations such as Burgers' equations, reaction-diffusion equations, and 2D Navier-Stokes equations. Second, we allow state constraints. Third, we have uniqueness of viscosity solutions. Our results on viability and lower semicontinuous solutions are new even in the case of monotone operators.
