Abstract:Ultra-precision machining technologies are the essential methods, to obtain the highest form accuracy and surface quality. As more research findings are published, such technologies now involve complicated systems engineering and been widely used in the production of components in various aerospace, national defense, optics, mechanics, electronics, and other high-tech applications. The conception, applications and history of ultra-precision machining are introduced in this article, and the developments of ultra-precision machining technologies, especially ultra-precision grinding, ultra-precision cutting and polishing are also reviewed. The current state and problems of this field in China are analyzed. Finally, the development trends of this field and the coping strategies employed in China to keep up with the trends are discussed.

Abstract:Based on the up to date development of the ultrasonic machining (USM) technology, applications and development trends of the ultrasonic machining tool are described. Automatic control including intelligent control and adaptive control, also tools in processing as an attachment and load matching system are trends in ultrasonic machining tool. The latest applications of ultrasonic machining technology in deep hole machining, ultrasonic elliptical vibration cutting, ultrasonic grinding, ultrasonic milling and ultrasonic combined machining are summarized, processing accuracy and processing efficiency have got a lot of progress. The development trends and future prospect of the ultrasonic machining technology are expounded. Studying the ultrasonic cutting mechanism, ultrasonic combined machining technology and micro-ultrasonic machining technology are the trends of ultrasonic machining.

Abstract:With the widespread application of various small aspheric optical components,high-precision manufacturing technology of forming molds is deeply demanded.However,the ultra-precision grinding technology of small aspheric moulds is still undeveloped in domestic research.An ultra-precision single-point grinding technique and profile error compensation mode of aspheric mould are studied.Through processing the measured data generated from contact on-machine measurement,the actual ground profile is reconstructed.Normal residual error is obtained through calculating the normal distance between actual ground profile and target profile,subsequently,a compensation method of profile error based on ultra-precision single-point inclined axis grinding is proposed.An experimental test is conducted to grind an aspheric tungsten carbide mould of aperture 6 mm,and the profile accuracy is gradually improved from peak to valley 449 nm to 182 nm after two-time compensation cycle.

Abstract:Ultra-precision machining based on single-point diamond turning and ultra-precision diamond grinding enables economic production of optical, mechanical and electronic components or products with form accuracy and surface roughness in micrometre and nanometre ranges respectively. Associated form and surface roughness measurement technology also plays an important role in evaluating the quality of the ultra-precision machined surfaces. In Hong Kong, the ultra-precision machining centre was established to assist local industry with a full range of facilities and technical services for the rapid development and testing of high-quality ultra-precision products.

Abstract:As the development of ultra-precision machining, the SPDT (single point diamond turning) was applied for the manufacture of a variety of optical components for its high precision, versatility and lower manufacturing cost. Whereas, the improvement of ultra-precision machining is not only related to the most topnotch equipments in the world but also closely linked to the special techniques in the ultra-precision Machining. Therefore, the industrialization and marketization of the ultra-precision machining will not be realized without these special techniques. Abstract:Abrasive machining is a widely-employed finishing process for different materials such as metals,ceramics,glass,rocks etc.to achieve close tolerances and good dimensional accuracy and surface integrity.High speed and super-high speed abrasive machining technologies are the newest-developed advanced machining processes to satisfy super-hardness and difficult-to-machining materials machined.In the present paper,high efficiency abrasive machining technologies relating to ultra high speed grinding,high speed point-grinding,high efficiency deep grinding are analyzed.The efficiency and parameters range of these abrasive machining processes are compared.The key technologies and the newest development and current states of high speed and super-high speed abrasive machining are investigated.It is concluded that high speed and super-high speed abrasive machining are a promising technology in the future abrasive machining.

Abstract:The development of ultra-precision machining technology, including ultra-precision machining equipment and the single point diamond cutting mechanism, is reviewed and summarized. Micro-engineering technology used in the production of microstructured freeform surfaces is introduced. The ultra-precision diamond cutting process for these microstructured freeform surfaces is elucidated, including single point diamond turning(SPDT), fast tool servo(FTS) machining, diamond micro chiseling(DMC), as well as ultra-precision raster milling. Challenges for measuring microstructured freeform surfaces are discussed, including contact and non-contact measuring methods. Case studies on the fabrication and characterization of some typical microstructured freeform surfaces are presented. Finally, the development of ultra-precision machining equipment in China and the future trends in the machining and measurement of microstructured freeform surfaces are discussed.

Abstract:The means of complex machining technology was reviewed at first,and then point of view of the generalized complex machining technology was mentioned,especially the concept of precision complex machining technology.Actions and significations of innovation in development of precision complex machining in manufacturing technology were discussed,that are important method to solve the key problem of process,new eyeshot to development in innovation and availability way to exalting key competition.Sequentially,the kinds of complex machining was reviewed,and four types of precision complex machining methods were recommended,that are ultoprecision grinding with complex bond micro-powder diamond whell,precision vibration grinding,polishing and lapping with abrasive tape,vertical precision turning-milling machining and chemistry-mechanical polishing machining.Finally applications,developments and regard problems of complex machining were discussed.

Abstract:The precision and efficiency of machining of aerospace thin-walled components (ATWCs) directly affect aircraft performance and reliability. This paper systematically reviews the cutting technology for ATWCs, covering advanced fixture technology, the prediction and control (or suppression) of machined surface integrity, deformation, and cutting chatter, as well as the application of digital twin (DT) technology. The section on advanced fixture technology provides a detailed analysis of the operational mode, structural features, functionality and applications of various advanced fixtures suitable for the machining of ATWCs. The surface integrity section discusses the mechanisms of surface state formation during machining of aerospace metal material parts, alongside predictions and control methods for surface integrity. The deformation section analyzes causes of machining-induced deformation in machining ATWCs and introduces relevant prediction and control methods. The cutting chatter section discussed the stability analysis techniques of cutting process and chatter suppression technology, including online monitoring and recognition, active and passive suppression technologies, and methods. The DT technology section showcases the specific application of this technology in the machining of ATWCs. The paper summarizes different aspects of these technologies, offering a comprehensive understanding and facilitating in-depth research into the machining technology of ATWCs. It can serve as a reference and guide for scholars conducting research in this field.

Abstract:Abstract Accuracy is a key quality characteristic of CNC machine tools, reflecting the pros and cons of machine tool performance. Accuracy is affected by performance failures of CNC machine tools, such as vibration, friction, and heat transfer. Therefore, it is difficult to accurately model and comprehensively analyse the accuracy of the machine tool by studying the influence of certain factors on the accuracy of the CNC machine tool in isolation, which makes it difficult to find out the problems in the design or manufacturing process. The article analyses the current status and research significance of domestic CNC machine tool accuracy, expounds the domestic and foreign research status of CNC machine tool accuracy modelling method and CNC machine tool accuracy comprehensive analysis, summarizes the existing problems and development trends of CNC machine tool accuracy research, and compares it based on the meta-action. The theoretical systematic modelling of the accuracy of CNC machine tools and the key issues of comprehensive evaluation of the accuracy of CNC machine tools combined with the meta-action chain provide insights and provide analytical methods for the design and manufacture of CNC machine tools.
