Abstract:Allocation of value chain deals with the distribution of economical benefits among different enterprises,geographic regions,as well as countries.With the help of traditional economics theories,this article analyses economically the mechanisms of value chain allocation from the point of view of value chain production methods,organizational styles,regional divisions and location selection,sets forth the rules of value chain allocation,and concludes that the industrial clusters conform the rational allocation of value chain.

Abstract:Since the economic reform and opening up to the outside world,commodity exchange centers have been growing rapidly in China.This paper suggests that intra-province accessibility plays a more important role than inter-province accessibility in affecting the development of commodity exchange centers.It is also found that the improvement in transportation infrastructure,such as highway and railway systems,reduces the transportation costs and thus triggers the growth of the centers.Commodity exchange centers affect firms with different factor intensities differently.Labor and resources intensive firms have more interactions with the centers than capital intensive firms.

Abstract:In recent years,there are sharp fluctuations of exhaustible resource price in international market,e.g.crude oil,which shocks the global economy.The classical theory of exhaustible resource doesn't work in explaining what has happened.Considering above situations,on the one hand,this paper discussed the optimized output of free competition producer in non-equilibrium market and yielded to the general results.On the other hand,based on the assumption of producer adjusting resource price according to the inventory level,this paper analyzed and compared the possible paths of price fluctuation,which exposes the complexity of fluctuation.Owing to the increasing demand to natural resources in China,which results from the apace economic development,this research is helpful not only to understand the law of exhaustible resource price fluctuation,but also to comprehend the issue“sustainable development in China”.

Abstract:Review of Radical Political Economics, Ahead of Print. Based on Uno's new insight that in the first chapter on the commodity, the value of a commodity is not yet defined as objectified abstract labor, this article first examines the problems in Marx's value form theory and presents a new understanding of the simple, the expanded, and the general value form, and reformulates the theory of the commodity into a dialectical whole composed of the world of commodities. Second, the article responds to Elena Lange's critique of Uno's value theory. Third, the article argues that fetishism of the commodity never originates from alienated abstract labor but from a specific relationship between commodity owners; therefore, the theories of value form and fetishism of the commodity address the common theme. A reformulated theory of the value form should integrate, not omit, the fetishism of the commodity within it.JEL Classification: B14, B41, D46

Abstract:What is the place of the market in society? Polanyi's answer derives from institutional separation and the self-regulating mechanism of supply and demand. In this article, I offer an alternative approach. Following Aristotle, I suggest that commodity fiction follows from the fictitious nature of valuation in the market economy. I then combine this broader definition of commodity fiction with Aristotle's ideas on means and ends of human action, which leads to a framework relating the uniform standard of value in the market economy to commodity fiction and market imperialism. This framework, like Polanyi, underlines the market's subordination of society, but it explains such domination with how the market subverts political deliberation on the allocation of time and resources to distinct objectives in society. The result is a theoretical framework that goes beyond the embeddedness-disembeddedness dichotomy and that emphasizes how the place of the market in society is inextricably a political phenomenon.

Abstract:This paper computes the values of commodities (including fixed capital) as well as production prices in China's economy. In light of Marx's transformation problem, the ratios of production prices to the values of 24 major commodities are computed. It is shown that the ratio of price to value in agriculture is the lowest, which indicates that agriculture is facing an unequal exchange of labor with other sectors.

Abstract:Current theory of labor value regards value only as physical consumption of abstract individuals,not as the creation of human life and social relationship,so it fails to reflect the historical development of abstract labor and provide a sound explanation of the huge growth of GDP per capita.The solution to this problem is to confirm two types of existing forms of labor value,namely materialized form and humanized form.The former is the crystal of human life in commodity formed in the process of material production,and the latter which is embodied in human life is transformed from materialized value in the process of human production.Based on this assumption we can develop index models of commodity value trend and value ratio of international product prices.Therefore,it eliminates the theoretical crisis of current theory of labor value and provides a theoretical model in accordance with the real world,leading to new development space and unique charm of Marxism labor value.

Abstract:Capital is playing an increasingly important role in China's production.And as a contributive factor it participates in the distribution.When trying to find theoretical support,some people try to revise the Marxist Labor Theory of Value while others want to thoroughly discard it.But finally they came to the same conclusion by different means that it is capital that creates value.It is a scientific theory that Labor is the only source of value.However,the inconsistency of value distribution and value creation in socialist countries is beyond Marx's expectation.Such case in China results from the development level of the productive forces and the specific historical conditions.To accept the realistic development strategy,we must adhere to the scientific theory.We should not throw away the weapons of "transforming the world" for the sake of "explaining" a temporary phenomenon.

Abstract:In the field of international trade,Marx’s theory of labor value is still applicable,but neither to the original country value form,nor the country market value and the country of production price form,but play a role in the form of conversion in the international value,the international market value and international production price.In the field of international commodity exchange,even if we follow the principle of exchange of equal value,to exchange according to the international value of commodity exchange,the international market value or international production price,the result is still the value transfer of wealth from developing or underdeveloped countries to developed countries.If China wants to get rid of in the international exploited status,to achieve their goal of economic development,the fundamental way is to adhere to the principle of construction of independence and self-reliance,accelerate the transformation of economic development mode.

Abstract:There are many misunderstandings on how to understand Marx’s labor theory of value. This theory is not a “metaphysical hypothesis” without empirical evidence, which is what many people often mistakenly believe, but the abstract theoretical summary extracted from the experience of common sense. The theory is not intended as an ethical critique of capitalism, but a scientific method to reveal the objective laws from simple commodity production to capitalist commodity production. Viewing the evolution of the economic formation of society as a process of natural history is the fundamental reason why Marx’s socialist theory is superior to other socialist theories. With the development of history, this theory has indeed encountered new problems that require convincing solutions. It should eventually die out, but it always has significant value in scientific methods.

Abstract:The (traditional) labor theory of value, founded by Smith with the basic axiom that labor determines value, and supplemented and improved by Marx with the axiom that labor creates surplus-value. Neoclassical economics newly studied the utility theory of value, but it abandoned the traditional labor theory of value and theory of surplus-value. Under the basic axiomatic system analogous to theoretical mechanics, the above three theories of value has been included and developed by the new theory of value, which established the value complex variable function including three basic quantities of quantity, quality and time, as well as labor value, use-value and surplus-value. Starting from the value complex variable function, with the mathematical methods of Euler equation and Euler formula, this paper conduct a thorough and comprehensive analysis on the theory of value, under satisfactions of Marx’s first and second laws, focusing on value equilibrium by giving the mathematical explicit expressions of both value equilibrium function and price equilibrium function in various forms applicable to the general commodity economic movement process, so as to prove the existence and stability of the extremum solutions to the corresponding functions.

Karl Max set up the scientific Theory of Surplus Value by starting his research from profit——the initiate representation of surplus value, and abstracted the general concept about capitalist surplus value from profit, interest and rents. With passing of time, one part of Marx's Theory of Surplus Value, which originally reflected the features of capitalist economy, now gradually transformed into the capitalist specialty of surplus value, and the other part, which revealed the substance of the commodity economy operation and capital operation, now burst out historically, and turn into the generality of surplus value under commodity economy, which also takes a socialist specialty of surplus value under the socialist market economy.
