Abstract:According to the basic structure and operating principle of disk brake for the belt conveyor,the influence of retarding torque to braking failure is mainly analyzed.Measures taken to prevent the braking failure of disk brake are put forward by analyzes the cause of braking failure of disk brake with the accident tree diagram of braking failure.Meanwhile,it offers the maintenance and operation for disk brake according to the analysis result.

Abstract:Through the analysis of the status of belt-broken seizing machine and synthesizing the features of the common ones, designed a high reLiabiLity, minimal damage and purely mechanical belt-conveyors of belt-broken seizing machine according to the need of safe transport in the coal mine. The belt-broken seizing machine is made up of the agency of belt-broken signal capture and actuator that are purely mechanical. When occuring the belt-broken accident, broken belt drives the agency of belt-broken signal capture, which Links the actuator that connected to it to complete the action of seizing belt-broken. The agency of belt-broken also has a braking effect while Links the actuator, and achieve the dupLicate protection of the belt-broken with the actuator. Furthermore, the units has the advantages of that it is simple structure, easy to install, easy maintenance, sensitive and reLiable, avoid the second accident after the belt-conveyors broking, and ensure the safe transport of belt-conveyors in the coal mine.

Abstract:As an important transportation equipment, belt conveyor plays an important role in underground coal mine production and is an indispensable component. In this article, taking the intermediate drive belt conveyor of Shanxi Tongmei Group Tongxin Mine as an example, the continuous dynamic method is adopted to comprehensively consider the non-uniform load distribution of the belt conveyor, and mathematical modeling of the intermediate drive belt conveyor is performed. The dynamic characteristics of the conveyor belt are analyzed. The MATLAB software is used to analyze the change of the conveyor belt tension under different starting accelerations. Based on the analysis results, the starting acceleration is optimized, and the new combined parabolic acceleration curve presented here is more suitable for the actual working condition of the belt conveyor. In this article, the startup timing of the head and middle motors of the belt conveyor is also discussed in depth. The start timing design of the belt conveyor is described, which provides a reference for the design of the belt conveyor with an intermediate drive.

Abstract:A tower crane supported concrete conveyor belt system is an important piece of equipment for placing concrete.The conveyor belt changes direction with the help of the tower crane.A multi-body dynamic analysis was made of a large tower belt used at a construction site of the Three Gorges Dam in Hubei,China.Feasibility of this special operating mode,effect of the initial condition,and resultant shock were studied.Conveyers and steel wire were treated as moving flexible bodies,and a new explicit expression by finite element method(FEM) was developed.Motion equations of the conveyers,steel wire,and jib were assembled to form the system equation.The direction of conveyers could be changed during its swing motion after the jib was stopped.Analysis showed different critical initial slew velocities for different initial positions of the conveyer,and that the initial slew velocity must be greater than the critical value.Greater initial slew velocity caused greater vibration and a best range for initial condition was determined.

Abstract:Compared to the current eddy braking patterns using a single magnetic source, hybrid excitation rail eddy brakes have many advantages, such as controllability, energy saving, and various operating models. Considering the large braking power consumption of the high-speed train, a hybrid excitation rail eddy brake system, which is based on the principle of electromagnetic field, is proposed to fulfill the needs of safety and reliability. Then the working processes of the mechanical lifting system and electromagnetic system are demonstrated. With the electromagnetic system analyzed using the finite element method, the factors such as speed, air gap, and exciting current have influences on the braking force and attractive force. At last, the structure optimization of the brake system is discussed.

Abstract:Belt conveyor is a kind of critical equipment in coal mining production.The faults of belt conveyor were investigated in a coal mine in Shanxi province.It was concluded that belt offset,belt damage,electrical fault,starting problem,gear trouble and drum breakdown are common faults in coal mine,in which belt damage and electrical fault have higher percentages.According to the direct cause,the faults of belt conveyor can be classified into human initiated failure,equipment initiated failure and others.The percentage of human initiated failure can be more than 50%.In the five compositions of belt conveyor,i.e.driver parts,revolution parts,frame,electrical and auxiliary devices,the faults in driver parts and electrical devices are more than others.

An analysis is made on the effect of smooth starting time on the dynamic load of the belt conveyor driving system. It is considered that the dynamic load relate to the ratio of the starting time and the self vibratory cyclic of the belt conveyor driving system and the dynamic load can be neglected when the starting time greater six time than the self vibratory cyclic of the belt conveyor driving sytem.

Abstract:The prediction of the stress profile on a loaded conveyor belt is essential not only for the engineering design of the belt, but for the analyses of the interactions between the belt and neighbouring components like idlers. This paper presents a new analytical approach by which the stress profile on a loaded conveyor belt can be modelled. We propose a new hypothesis of the dynamic movement of bulk material during conveyance based on recent experimental discovery. We investigate the internal friction within bulk material, as well as the interface behaviour between bulk material and the belt. The presented analytical approach incorporates both the stress field analysis and the Stress Discontinuity method. The resulting Stress Discontinuity model can fully characterise active and passive stress states within bulk material. Compared with results of on-site experiments and a widely accepted previous model, it shows that a good correlation can be achieved. The Stress Discontinuity model is verified by comparison to a series of experimental data.

Abstract:—Based on the multi axis motor synchronous control of envelope packaging machine, this paperanalyzes the influence of servo motor on the lathe in the braking process based on the multi axis motioncontroller. Based on the synchronous control technology of servo motor, the balanced impact method isproposed and realized to minimize the wear degree of lathe gears. It reduces the noise of the machine toolwhen it is running, reduces the maintenance time and prolongs the service life of the machine. For thenumerical control system, the braking speed of servo motor should be discretized in engineeringimplementation. By reducing the time complexity and increasing the space complexity, the system can runquickly and accurately.

Abstract:Given that the disassembly speed of the body of the telescopic belt conveyor operated in an underground coal mine couldn’t keep consistent with the advancing speed of the working face, a telescopic system specially for the belt conveyor was designed. Then a detailed comparison of the merits and demerits and a force analysis of different telescopic systems were made in this paper. Lastly, a conveyor belt-oriented friction-type traction device was invented for specific working conditions. And the traction device is characterized by strong adaptability and high working efficiency and could retract and extend the telescopic part continuously and automatically, which provided an effective technical solution to facilitate the intelligent and efficient development of the modern mine.

Abstract:Brake is the frequent-use safety of elevator parts, also it is the important basis to maintain the safe operation of the elevator. In this paper, combined with an elevator hoisting accident, the the elevator brake dismantling, internal structure type, the damage and the failure characteristics of the brake were analyzed. At the same time, the fault brake parts were analyzed in order from the aspects of material, and process of brake failure reasons were analyzed. Finally, the corresponding preventive measures were proposed according to the cause of the brake failure, avoiding similar accidents from happening again.

Abstract:The results of the research presented in the article relate to a fundamentally new type of continuous transport machines-conveyors with a suspended load-carrying belt and a distributed drive. The main advantages of which are due to the features of the kinematic scheme, in which the load-bearing conveyor belt is held by the sides by means of roller suspensions on rolling guides closed along the route and does not interact with its base with supporting supports, and the drive is implemented according to the distributed scheme by the equipment of individual suspensions with individual motor-gear drives. A feature of such a kinematic scheme is the nature of the failures associated with the operation of highly loaded drive suspensions, the influence of which affects the main technical characteristics of the conveyor with a sufficiently increased number. The paper presents a mathematical model designed to calculate the dynamic characteristics of a conveyor with a suspended belt and a distributed drive when the types of failures characteristic of this conveyor design occur, associated with a break in the supply electrical circuit of the motor-gear drive of the suspensions. Based on the developed mathematical model for the reference design of a conveyor with a suspended belt and a distributed drive, a series of numerical calculations of dynamic characteristics in the event of failures of drive suspensions is performed. The obtained results allowed us to establish that with a reduction in the number of groups of consistently failed drive suspensions located with an equal step along the route, the technical characteristics of the conveyor deteriorate: the speed of movement of the load-bearing belt and the total power of the drives are reduced, and the longitudinal tensile stresses in the belt are increased. With an increase in the number of consistently failed drive suspensions within one group, the power and speed of the conveyor decrease non-linearly, and the longitudinal stresses in the conveyor belt increase linearly. In general, the results of calculations of the technical characteristics of the reference idealized design demonstrated the possibility of the conveyor operation in case of failure of 90% of the drive suspensions. The actual performance indicators are determined by the technical characteristics of the used gear motor drives.
