Abstract:Abstract At present, opportunities and challenges coexist in the development of e-commerce industry, which develops rapidly, but there are also many problems. Among them, the offline cold chain logistics that puzzles fresh e-commerce has not been a good solution, the key reason is that there are too many uncontrollable factors of logistics distribution, storage and fresh, and lack of high quality cold storage to meet the needs of e-commerce. This paper analyzes a series of problems of cold storage from the aspects of temperature, space location, packaging design and distribution. Finally, we can solve these problems through temperature control technology, bar code technology and advanced cold chain technology.

Abstract:Abstract In view of the realistic environment of the cold chain logistics development in Guangzhou, this paper aims at analyzing the present pre-cooling equipment of the cold chain logistics in Guangzhou, the lack of cold storage facilities, the incomplete cold chain structure, the lagging of the development of the third-party cold chain logistics industry, the lack of trace ability of the products, the information tracking mechanism and the deficiency of the standard specifications of the cold chain, the shortage of cold chain professionals etc., and the countermeasures are put forward from three aspects: strengthening the policy support for the overall planning of the cold chain logistics; strengthening the construction and improvement of the cold chain logistics system and the platform and the main body; and developing the Guangzhou cold chain logistics industry in various modes.

Abstract:Cold chain logistics is a new mode of storage and transportation.Because frozen foods can best preserve their natural freshness,pigments,flavors and nutrient contents,cold chain logistics has been acknowledged as the best modes of foods storage and transportation.The packaging of fruit and vegetable,used for in cold chain logistics,has to provide protection against external influences,such as atmospheric oxygen,water vapor,microbial attack,dust and contamination.To ensure a flow of cooling air,some round holes have been provided on the cartons.The packing technology for cold chain logistics of fruit and vegetable is described.

Abstract:Cold storage conception and technology attracts extensively interests recent years due to growingly global energy demands and increasingly international carbon emissions. China, as rapidly economic growth of social development and strongly policy support of carbon reduction, leads many researches in fundamental science and advanced engineering based on phase change material application. Therefore, this study introduces the basic concept and classification of phase change materials for cold storage. Some innovative materials proposed in China, such as clathrate hydrate and compound nanomaterial, are compared for various cold storage effects. This study also reviews the application status in different fields, including Freshness preservation, mine cooling, shortterm power optimization, and long-term energy utilization. The cutting-edge researches and the state-of-art technologies in China are briefly discussed. At last, the developed history and the future direction of cold storage air conditioning have been presented. Extensively national policy allows China to fulfil its role as a major power in the promotion of cold storage technology.

Abstract:Cold chain logistics has become an indispensable link in the current national economic support. To ensure the sustainable development of energy and improve energy efficiency, it is particularly important to develop a passive economical cold chain technology. Phase change cold storage technology has the characteristics of large energy storage capacity, low carbon and recyclable. It can be combined with the traditional insulation box to obtain a cold storage box for cold chain that can absorb renewable energy. In this study, the phase change cold storage materials, cold storage units and diversified cold storage box applied to cold chain logistics are reviewed. Besides, based on the state-of-the-art research, the future development direction of phase change cold storage materials and cold storage box is prospected.

Abstract:Cold chain logistics is the process of transporting fresh products from producer to consumer in a constant low-temperature environment. Cold chain logistics efficiency is directly related to food safety and energy consumption. At present, cold chain logistics equipment mainly relies on diesel engine-driven vapor compression refrigeration system, which has high energy consumption, high equipment cost, and other defects. Phase change cold storage technology is a kind of technology that utilizes the property of absorbing and releasing heat during the phase change process of phase change materials (PCM) to realize the storage and release of cold energy. The combination of phase change cold storage technology and cold chain logistics equipment can effectively reduce cold chain logistics costs, energy consumption, emissions. Utilizing its property of maintaining a constant temperature during phase change, the temperature of the cold chain logistics process can be maintained uniformly, thus prolonging the fresh products preservation time. This paper reviews phase change cold storage technology and its application in fresh products cold chain logistics, summarizes the classification, performance optimization technology, and selection method of phase change materials, and describes the application scenarios and equipment types of phase change cold storage technology in cold chain logistics. Finally, it looks forward to the development direction of phase change cold storage technology applied in cold chain logistics and puts forward the problems that need to be solved to promote its development.

Abstract:Temperature and gas composition control is essential for maintaining the fresh flavor and quality of perishable fruits. This study presented a design of consolidated cold and modified atmosphere package (MAP) system for fresh fruits by showing the potential benefits of a low-tech and low-cost approach to cold chain adoption. The effectiveness of insulated expanded polystyrene (EPS) box installed with phase change materials (PCM) and equipped with MAP on maintaining quality of fresh strawberries was reported. Real-time changes of gas composition, temperature and relative humidity inside packages, weight loss, total soluble solids, color, texture, respiration rate, electrical conductivity, and general appearance of strawberries were determined during the storage in successive harvests of Dec 2017 and Apr 2018. Loss of fruit weight and electrical conductivity were higher in the control strawberries comparing with packaged fruits. The consolidated package system had significant effect on maintaining firmness, color, total soluble solids, global appearance, respiration rate of strawberries for all attributes. Results of this study confirmed that this innovative approach to cold chain design had the potential use in express delivery of strawberry fruits when the ambient temperatures were not well controlled.

Abstract:An overview of the current status of the cold chain in China was conducted. First, food waste and losses in China were outlined, which is caused partly by the incomplete cold chain facilities in China. The problems relating to food preservation and safety in China were stated, in conjunction with rapid increase of China's frozen food production in recent years. Moreover, the relevant governmental policies supporting the development of cold chain are also introduced. The current status of different stages of cold chain in China were reviewed briefly. The application and development of technologies, facilities and devices along the cold chain, including pre-cooling, freezing, cold storage, refrigerated transportation, distribution, refrigerated trucks, cold warehouses, home refrigerators and freezers are discussed. Refrigerants currently utilized and future trends in cold chain were also presented. Furthermore, the quotas for refrigerants, R22 and R141b, consumed within cold chain are also presented. Additionally, regulations and standards relating to the cold chain were summarized. Some important research activities related to the cold chain conducted in recent years were introduced.

To take FRESHIPPO as an example, it perfectly satisfies the customers’ needs for convenience. In this paper, we analyzed the technologies, industry supervision, facilities construction, talent cultivation, and the current situation of cold chain logistics in FRESHIPPO and China. Also, we tried to find out the deficiencies and the causes and then put forward relative optimized measures and suggestions to offer guidance and advice for the development and the weaknesses of the cold chain logistics of FRESHIPPO.

Abstract:Phase change energy storage technology can reduce temperature fluctuations during food storage and transportation, but there is a lack of research on cold storage capacity and efficiency considering the energy consumption of refrigeration units. In this paper, the experimental platform of the phase change cold storage module for the refrigerated container was established, and a two-dimensional heat transfer numerical model was developed and verified. The "cold storage coefficient Sc′′ " and "cold storage efficiency Se′′ " were defined to analyze the influence of different working conditions on cold storage capacity and cold storage speed. The results show that the longer the refrigerant pipe is, the faster the cold storage speed is, and the lower the energy consumption of the refrigeration unit is, but the cold storage energy storage capacity decreases to a certain extent. When the pipe length is about 33.6 m, the cold storage coefficient and cold storage efficiency are greater than 1, which means that the cold storage capacity and cold storage speed are kept at a high level. The increase in the pipe diameter has a limited effect on the cold storage efficiency and COP of the refrigeration unit, but will result in a significant decrease in the total energy storage capacity. When the pipe diameter is around 20 mm, the requirements of cold storage guarantee capacity and charging time can be met at the same time. With the increase in unit rated power, the cold storage efficiency can be significantly improved, but the COP of the unit decreases, and the higher the rated power of the unit, the greater the increase in the COP and cold storage speed of the refrigeration unit by increasing the pipe length.

Abstract:The management of cold storage chain is an important part of the management of supply chain and logistics. The development of Chinese cold storage chain logistics is relatively backward, which affects the food industry seriously. Cold store play an important role in cold storage chain logistics. The field flow is the key technological parameter in cold store. A three dimensional mathematical model is established to study the flow field distribution inside a cold store. And the results are testified by experiments. Both the flow field characteristics and the effect of flow field on food storage are revealed. Abstract:In view of the current test methods and evaluation indicators for the performance of cold storage freezing systems, a cold storage experimental platform with a micro-channel heat exchanger is designed using the inject technology, and the power consumption and cooling performance are tested under different conditions of the internal and external environment temperatures, vapor injecting flux, compressor speed, and vapor inject pattern. The experimental results provide us with a useful source for the optimization or improvement of cold storage freezing systems.

Abstract:With the improvement of the national economic level and the diversity of medical equipment needs, the car refrigerator as an important carrier in the cold chain logistics link is rapidly developed. According to the different applications, there are differences in the refrigeration technologies and cooling capacity of car refrigerators. Around car refrigerators, the development status of car refrigerator refrigeration technologies is reviewed, the characteristics and functions of car refrigerators are introduced, the mechanism and characteristics of several refrigeration technologies under different scenarios are studied, and the potential development and application directions of car refrigerators with different refrigeration technologies are summarized. The research results are of certain practical significance to the improvement of the last-mile of cold chain logistics.
