Abstract:A CAD system for gauge is developed with Turbo C which integrates the program with a database by Foxpro. The gauge drawing with dimensions is automatically generated. In this system, Chinese character may be displayed at any location of the screen and the displayed colour can be modified.

Abstract:CAD/CAM system was developed to solve the bad quality and low efficiency in CNC irregular glass grind.This system can provide profile drawing,grind & polishing G code output with the special technology request in glass machining.The optimization of CNC path was acquired with genetic algorithm.The problem of join scar in glass grind was solved with arc feeding and arc retracting.With pre-compensation in polishing,a good polishing effect was acquired.The practice proves that CAD/CAM system can fully satisfy the requirement of glass grind and can improve the machining quality in the followed application.

Abstract:Shoe last is the solid form around which a shoe is molded. The application of CAD/CAM technology is the vital solution to improve shoe last industry. This paper presents an integrated CAD/CAM system development approach for shoe last. The system is implemented in Unigraphics software and Visual C++ programming. The shoe last CAD model is represented by a regular surface point data set. The design process is realized by manipulating the data set. The data set can then be used to construct surface model of shoe last. With the help of the CAM functions provided by UG/Manufacturing, the NC program can be obtained from the surface model and then controls a specialized shoe last NC machine to finish the machining process. The use of this integrated system greatly results in the production of high quality shoe lasts in a shorter time. This system development method is suitable for other CAD/CAM systems development of products with complex shapes.

Abstract:Aimed at disadvantages of tedious work of the gear teeth design, Visual Fortran is taken as the development platform, and design data are stored and managed by self-developed program and database technology. A CAD System for Gear Teeth named GTCS is researched and developed. The system integrates designing and drawing in a body, and fully uses the powerful numerical calculation function of Visual Fortran and the function of Windows interface design, as well as the secondary development function of AutoCAD and database technology, etc. The software can realize designing and calculating of involute gear teeth and transmission mechanism, automatic drawing and various kinds of results post-processing. Results show that the research results greatly improved the efficiency and quality of the design. The result documents are easily accessible by other structural analysis software (such as SolidWorks, ANSYS, ADINA, etc) and similar design software, and convenient to use for the follow-up work.

Abstract:This paper focuses on the development of Shoelast CAD System based on Unigraphics software and presents the main framework of the system . According to the geometric characteristics of shoe last and the modeling functions provided by UG, the construction and modify methods of shoe last model are realized. After the model is constructed, the NC program of shoe last is generated using the GRIP NC functions of UG. With these methods, the Shoe last CAD System has been developed successfully on UG platform.

Abstract:In this paper, methods and techniques newly developed are presented for high-quality curve and surface modeling in CAD systems. The data structure and data exchange are based on STEP, the international standard for external representation of product data. While accurate algebraic representation is used for lower degree curves and surfaces, NURBS (Nonuniform Rational Bspline Surface) representation is adopted as a unified approach to advanced curve and surface design. We thus have both advantages for accurate shape processing in CAD/CAM and high-quality design of shapes with free-form surfaces.<>

Abstract:Object-oriented technology is used to study the CAD/CAM system of super CNC glass carve center in this paper. Based on a successful development of the CAD/CAM system on the OS of WINDOWS, Modular organization in the CAD/CAM system and the detail process of figure forming are presented. Abstract:A scheme of an integrated CAD system is presented. The structure of the system and the major functions of its ten subsystems are sketched. This CAD system is centered around the database and oriented to the entire designing process of the digital system. It consists of ten functional subsystems, each of which is used to perform a specific task in the digital system design. One of the main features of the architecture of the system is that all of the functional subsystems are not interconnected with each other, but connected individually with the central CAD database. This system operates with great flexibility and offers apprent practical advatages. The user can employ any one of the functional subsystems whenever needed.

Abstract:In this paper, automatic modeling techniques in intelligent CAD systems are discussed and a multi-blackboard based modeling method is presented. It supports modeling with multilevel accuracy and can convert abstract symbolbased description of a design object into the desired 3D model. These characteristics meet the modeling requirements for supporting the overall design process and are suitable for intelligent CAD systems. We implement them in an intelligent chair design system, AUTOCHAIR.
