Abstract:The research status, engineering applications and problems in the treatment of high-concentration phenol coal gasification organic wastewater was studied on ammonia and phenol recovery, biochemical treatment and advanced treatment. The corresponding technology development suggestions were presented, and the importance of the improved ammonia and phenol recovery technology, the technological innovation of the introduction of high efficient anaerobic reactor technology was summarized. The collaboration of upstream and downstream processes and technology integration and strengthening is an important trend of treatment technologies of high-concentration phenol coal gasification organic wastewater.

Abstract:The new treatment technology of VOCs was gaining more and more concern with the increasing demand on VOCs treatment.It was analyzed biological decomposition,photocatalysis and plasma treatment technology of VOCs in detail,respectively.The study on selecting high efficiency microbe and new type of biological stuffing materials can make the biological decomposition more available.Surface modification of photocatalyst helps to prevent the catalyst desactivation and ensure the system stationary in long term.During the process of VOCs treatment using plasma synergy catalyst,how to reduce the energy consumption and control the by-product will be the next key point.

Abstract:The existence of waste plastics and microplastics hascaused seriouspollution to the ecological environment. Harsh reaction conditionsor long reaction time are typically required for the current wasteplastic treatment technologies, resulting in high energy consumptionand capital cost. Recently, plasma, Fenton, and electrochemical technologieshave emerged to upcycle waste plastics under mild conditions and removemicroplastics efficiently. The fundamentals and applications of plasma,Fenton, and electrochemical technologies in waste plastic treatmentare reviewed. The prospects of these emerging technologies are alsodiscussed, aiming to provide the scientific background, applicationstatus, and technical challenges for these emerging technologies forwaste plastic treatment. Abstract:Coal gasification wastewater is produced in the process of coal gasification. Its water quality is character-ized by having highly concentrated,toxic and non-degradable pollutants. The present status of the treatment technologies of coal gasification wastewater is introduced in three aspects ,including the physico-chemical pretreatment,biochemical treatment and advaned treatment of highly concentrated coal gasficiation wastewater treatment technologies. The advantages and disadvantages of all the treatment technologies ,and the problems existing in their applications are analyzed emphatically. Their future research directions,namely,further research on the optimization of dephenolization and ammonia distillation processes ,membrane bioreactor strengthening technology,and advanced treatment of membrane technology,are looked forward,so as to provide references for solving the problems in coal gasification wastewater treatment.

Abstract:There are plenty of toxic and stable contaminations in industrial organic wastewater. It is difficult to remove them by routine biological, chemical and physical processes. This paper reviews treatment technology of organic wastewater containing refractory compounds, such as biological processes, chemical processes, physical processes and their combined treatment processes. Many advantages and disadvantages of these methods and processes are depicted. Development and status guo of the treatment technology research are also stated. The conclusions that the singled processes exist some limitations in dealing with organic wastewater containing refractory compounds is made and that the exploitation and application about new combined processes will become the mainstream is pointed out.

Abstract:With the continuous development of industry, the emission of volatile organic compounds (VOCs) continues to increase, and the pollution problem becomes increasingly serious. For example, in industrial production processes such as papermaking and traditional Chinese medicine extraction, low-content and complex volatile organic compounds will be produced, which will affect the factory environment. This article introduces the development and research status of VOCs sampling and treatment technology in recent years, explains the advantages and disadvantages of adsorption method, absorption method, membrane separation method, catalytic combustion method, biodegradation method, and low-temperature plasma technology application, and looks forward to the future development trends in this field.

Abstract:The unresolved problems and possible solutions present status for three typical volatile organic compounds (VOC) bio-treatment processes: bio-scrubber, bio-filter and bio-trickling filter, are discussed, which include application of genus of bacterium to treat high concentration VOC and its hard bio-degradable substrates; improvement of the treatment capacity of hydrophobic or hard biodegradable VOC; updating of the physical property of carriers to extend their longevities and auto-control system. It was pointed out that bio-treatment of volatile organic compounds has the following advantages: cost-effectiveness, easy operation.
Research Progress in Treatment Technology of Municipal Solid Waste in China

Abstract:With rapid economic growth and massive urbanization, the types and quantities of municipal solid waste continue to increase, and many cities have already faced the situation of “garbage siege”. Municipal solid waste not only seriously pollutes soil, water and atmosphere, but also endangers human health, influences urban landscape and damages the image of the city. This paper reviews the current status and classification of municipal solid waste in China, and discusses the solid waste treatment technologies of landfilling, incineration, composting and pyrolysis. Furthermore, the advantages and disadvantages of these treatment technologies applied to some developed countries are evaluated to inspire the innovation of new methods and ideas for solid waste treatment.

Abstract:Tri-benzene organic emission is a kind of toxic exhaust commonly produced in petrochemical industry.There are some characteristics,such as large emissions,low concentration,difficult centralized processing and decontamination.So,we set up a device to generate a large volume and stable microwave plasma at atmospheric pressure.The working gas could be nitrogen,oxygen or air with the gas flow rate of 0.3～10 L/min to generate the plasma.By experiments,we studied the effect of microwave propagation on the plasma characteristics under different working gas.Then p-Xylene exhaust gas was treated with three kinds of plasma.The results show that removal efficiency of p-Xylene is higher than 95％ in different microwave power and gas flow rate,and the lowest treatment microwave power can be achieved by 1 000 W with a great performance.In the air plasma treatment condition,the p-Xylene concentration can be up to 2 400 mg/m3 with little incomplete oxidized production.However,the nitrogen oxides are generated as by-products during the reaction,which have to be passed to the alkali solution to be removed.The results show that atmospheric microwave plasma can efficiently and completely reduce the p-Xylene content of exhausts,and other similar organic compounds in the exhaust gas also have apparent removal efficiency.The method has great potential environmental protection industry.

Abstract:Organic wastes such as agricultural and forest residue, and municipal waste have certain energy values, which should be recovered and utilized. This paper studies the pyrolysis and gasification of three kinds of wastes (wood, rich hull, and mixed garbage) in a down-draft gasifier. Experimental data about the gas composition and calorific value are obtained. And the gasification reaction processes are also discussed.

Abstract:The characteristics of coal gasification wastewater( CGW) were introduced. The treatment difficulties were reflected in complex wastewater quality,high concentration of recalcitrant compounds and high toxicity. CGW treatment processes now used at home and abroad were described in terms of physico-chemical treatment,biological treatment and advanced treatment. The problems of A / O process,SBR,biofilm,physical absorption,advanced oxidation and membrane technology in real engineering projects were analyzed. The future development directions of CGW treatment technologies were prospected. The optimal combination of physico-chemical and biological treatment technologies might be an inevitable development trend of CGW treatment technologies. It was indicated that the key technologies for CGW treatment were foam elimination,polyphenol degradation,controlling toxicity of phenols and culture of microorganisms for phenols degradation. The reference was provided for CGW treatment.

Abstract:Due to its high toxicity and serious harm to human body and environment,more attention has been paid to the organic industrial wastewater involved pollution problems.Electrochemical methods are widely used in organic wastewater treatment because of the high efficiency,good catalytic performance,easy control of reaction and so on.The electrochemical oxidation,electrochemical reduction,electrolysis and other electrochemical methods applied in the catalytic degradation of organic wastewater have been introduced,and the influence of different electrode materials on the performance of electrochemical catalytic degradation of organic wastewater has been summarized.The development trend of electrochemical treatment of organic wastewater will be the investigation of cost-effective and long life electrode materials.Meanwhile,the combination of electrochemical and other technical methods will be the main method of organic wastewater treatment.

Abstract:Under the influence of the rapid development of society, great changes have taken place in people's ideology and people pay more attention to environmental protection. In people's daily life, there will be a lot of domestic waste, if it can not be treated reasonably and effectively, it will inevitably cause certain pollution to the environment. Compared with domestic waste landfill, pyrolysis or composting technology, incineration technology has relatively higher advantages, and has the characteristics of less land occupation and secondary energy recovery, so it is widely favored by people. However, because the composition of domestic waste is relatively complex, a large number of harmful gases will be formed in the process of incineration. If these gases are directly discharged into the atmosphere, it will inevitably cause certain harm to the ecological environment and even pose a threat to people's health. Therefore, we need to treat these substances reasonably before we can discharge them. The selection of suitable flue gas treatment technology is an important basis for controlling flue gas pollution in waste incineration power plants.

Abstract:The wastewaters of food industry are rich in organic matter,and their direct discharges may do harm to the environment.There have recently been considerable concerns about and development in biological technologies to treat food industrial wastewaters.Presentation of those technologies was given,including hydrolysis- aerobic treatment technology,sequencing batch reactor activated sludge process and anaerobic sequencing batch reactor technique,upflow anaerobic sludge blanket method,anaerobic baffled reactor,rotating biological contactor,microbial fuel cell,membrane bioreactor,and etc.Other relevant combined technologies were also introduced,and the prospect of the developmental orientation of food industrial wastewater treatment technologies was proposed as well.
