Abstract:Due to its high toxicity and serious harm to human body and environment,more attention has been paid to the organic industrial wastewater involved pollution problems.Electrochemical methods are widely used in organic wastewater treatment because of the high efficiency,good catalytic performance,easy control of reaction and so on.The electrochemical oxidation,electrochemical reduction,electrolysis and other electrochemical methods applied in the catalytic degradation of organic wastewater have been introduced,and the influence of different electrode materials on the performance of electrochemical catalytic degradation of organic wastewater has been summarized.The development trend of electrochemical treatment of organic wastewater will be the investigation of cost-effective and long life electrode materials.Meanwhile,the combination of electrochemical and other technical methods will be the main method of organic wastewater treatment.
