Abstract:Recently, SOA plays a more and more important role in software research and software development. On the basis of the research findings on SOA, this paper presents an innovative model for applying SOA: Multi-layer Structure For Dynamic Service Integration (MSFDSI). The paper expatiates on the organization of MSFDSI, on the basis of typical organization of SOA, MSFDSI adds a authorized institution and a service integration & analysis adapter to achieve the service authorization, service analysis and dynamic service integration. The paper also presents the hierarchy of MSFDSI, analyzes its service, proposes innovative concepts of coordination service and procedural service which traditional SOA models never contain, gives the Meta-model for service contracts and describes the main process of MSFDSI. Moreover, this paper gives a real case study of applying this model in a project of "Maritime and shipping integrated system of Yunnan Province". The case study shows that MSFDSI separates the business logic and the specific implementation technology, achieves the dynamic service integration successfully, improves the performance of system and provides a new and effective solution for applying SOA.

Abstract:Virtual enterprise is a mode of enterprise organization and management. An efficient supporting platform brings a great deal of convenience to its operation. Based on the analysis of its characteristics and life cycle, this paper brings forward the main problems in realizing a supporting platform for virtual enterprise and discusses the corresponding solutions. Considering the inherent advantages of Web services, it presents a supporting platform based on Web services. Furthermore, the functional hierarchy model and the architecture of the platform are described in detail. Several key technologies are also discussed. Finally, This work presents an application example of this platform, and then evaluates the platform and draws a conclusion.

Abstract:Modem enterprises consist of complex business systems. These systems need to be integrated to support enterprises operation. The SOA and ESB become an important enterprise integration architecture style for designing and implementing integration systems. But there are some limitations of today's ESB framework, such as only syntactic description of service interface, inability to perform semantic mediation and incapable process knowledge management. Therefore developers need deep and intimate knowledge to develop integration systems. We introduce an ontology-based semantic annotation approach to enrich and reconcile semantics of data, services and process models on ESB that enables data, service and process models interoperability on the semantic level through common domain ontologies.

Abstract:With the advance of computer hardware and software techniques and the continuous growth of application requirements, the computing systems, which have computers as their centers, have increasingly broadened the scope of application, while the complexity is also growing quickly. The demand for evaluating and improving the dependability of computing systems is more and more urgent. This paper gives the definition of computing systems' dependability, and a series of quantitative indicators are presented to evaluate the dependability. At the same time, the threats to system dependability are classified and analyzed in details. Since the traditional methods are incapable of dealing with the diverse dependability problem faced by the increasingly complex systems, people are constantly searching for new techniques. In this context, the virtualization technique comes to its renaissance, and is rapidly becoming a major research focus in recent years. In this paper, the existing research results on applying virtualization to enhance the dependability of computing systems are summed up, and the main characteristics and mechanisms of virtualization on enhancing dependability are introduced. But due to the restrictions of the existing computing systems architecture, the superiority of virtualization can not work fully. Service Oriented Architecture (SOA) meets the requirements of virtualization well for the loosely coupled, platform independence characteristics. Therefore, at the last part of this paper, a framework which integrates SOA and virtualization is proposed to enhance the dependability of computing systems, which is called Service Oriented Virtualization (SOV). This paper analyzes how this system framework can enhance the system dependability by mechanisms of virtualization and architecture superiority, when faced with many kinds of dependability threats.

Abstract:To avoid the isolation between the external and the internal information of enterprise information systems,a four-layer integrated framework is proposed on the basis of integrating Web2.0 and the service-oriented architecture (SOA), which contains the data layer,the service layer,the presentation layer and the collaboration layer.The presentation layer plays the key role,converging the external information from the collaboration layer to the inside of information system (IS),and diffusing the internal information from the service layer to public users.This framework can also illustrate how users contribute to producing new services,and how web services are integrated to collaborate with public users.

Abstract:Driven by the requirement of environment-adaptable business, Service-oriented Architecture (SOA) emerges with promising goals such as agility, flexibility, reusability and efficiency. Before reaching the goals, however, numerous and various challenges are still obstructing the success of SOA implementation. To efficiently deal with existing challenges, we can use an interdisciplinary approach to explore technology independent strategies as valuable and necessary supplements to technical concerns when implementing SOA. Through presenting an organizational view to comprehend SOA and treating SOA implementations as organizational activities, this paper employs useful knowledge in the organization theory area to inspire the research into technology independent strategies of SOA implementation. As a result, four preliminary strategies that can be applied to human organizations are identified to support building SOA systems. Furthermore, the interdisciplinary approach to investigating the success of SOA implementation is revealed, which encourages interdisciplinary research across service-oriented computing and organization theory.

Abstract:With the business globalization of the enterprises in the world, the rapidly shifting consumer demands become a big challenge for the enterprises. The success of enterprises depends more on their ability to agile business and IT. Integration of the traditional IT applications and the new IT applications becomes a significant problem in the modern enterprises. The logistics information system, as an important part of the enterprises, relates to many areas of the enterprises, even to different enterprises. So the integration of the logistics information system is a crucial issue for modern business. This paper describes a general design for the integration of distributed logistics information system based on service-oriented architecture (SOA) and enterprise service bus (ESB). In the end, with the analysis of a real logistics information system in a distribution center, a SOA solution is provided for the distributed logistics information system in the paper.

Abstract:With the development of web services related technologies, the enterprise business systems can be encapsulated through web services. The service oriented architecture can be adopted for the enterprise business processes. Specific interfaces are introduced between the web services of different enterprises for data exchanging to achieve the cross-enterprise systems integration. Different enterprises can be organized into virtual enterprise through web services to share resources and achieve win-win. This paper introduces an adaptive model of virtual enterprise based on dynamic composition of web services (DCWS-VE). A service execution plan will be dynamically built to aim at the target of the virtual enterprise through the composition of web services. The development and deployment of web services is separated to support the dynamically deploying and binding of the web service at run time. The members in the virtual enterprise will be located through the dynamic web service discovery based on DAML+OIL logic reasoning, and selected through the dynamic web services negotiation with multi- steps protocol to organize the virtual enterprise at run time. Electronic contract is adopted in the organizing process of virtual enterprise to achieve the stable running.

Abstract:Dynamic reconfiguration can help SOA based applications to update, modify, add and remove their functions, improve their performance, enhance their reliabilities and robustness. However few works focus on the QoS-based dynamic reconfiguration of SOA-based applications. This paper presents an approach for QoS-based dynamic reconfiguration of SOA based applications. The proposed approach can reconfigure a SOA based application to comply with a new QoS constraint by replacing its individual or multiple component services. An important factor named global significance value is introduced to show the significance of each component service. The individual component services are attempted to replace according to the descending order relative to the value. If the attempts fail, multiple component services will be replaced together. In the case study, an example is given to show the approach is feasible to reconfigure a SOA based application to meet a new QoS constraint. The experiment shows the effectiveness and efficiency of our approach.

Abstract:Inter-organization collaboration is recently acknowledged as an important vision of the grid research, however there are not many well implemented system and not many applications that are in large-scale real use either. This paper present a VO(Virtual Organization) Ontology Model Framework that simplifies the Inter-organization collaboration of the future grids. Thanks to the semantic technology, we can develop semantic based model framework to implement interoperability even in heterogeneous environments. The framework, consisted of a bunch of ontologies, definitely defines and describes which attributes of the VOs should define. We define and implement the semantic model of Virtual Organizations and Grid Resources and introduce the basic concepts and mechanisms to represent them and apply them to the China Academy of Traditional Chinese Medicine (CATCM). The prototype presented in this paper is also applicable to other VO application projects.

Abstract:In common sense, virtualization technology is adopted to offer several isolated execution environments and makes better use of computational resources which has been an important enabler for cloud computing. However, in embedded systems, the significance of virtualization does not come into the picture. The extensive utilization of mobile smart devices has led to a series of issues such as security, power consumption and performance limitation. Mobile virtualization can offer an effective approach in addressing these challenges. In this paper, we discuss how mobile virtualization addresses these challenges and then present a detail analysis of mainstream mobile virtualization solutions: Para-virtualization, Hardware-Assisted Full virtualization and Microkernel Hypervisor. At last, we carry out a series of performance comparison between these solutions and make some suggestions for further research.

Abstract:Amazon and Taobao publish product introduction online for customers’ personal choice and become the successful examples of modern service based on information and communication technologies. However, if they want to achieve a complex service through composing some simple services, the research of service composition platform is still rudi-mental. In order to achieve this goal, a virtualization-based service system development method is proposed. The service elements are described standardized as service component at first. Then the service component is virtualized to be a web service and is deployed on a service platform, which is similar to Amazon. Customers put forward their demands on this platform and the platform will auto-match and dispatch task to the component to build a real-world service system. Finally, an application in ocean logistics service is briefly introduced.
