Abstract:Design industry has become the new engine of economic growth in background of global integration. The promotion of urban design ability can greatly promote the development of social economy. In this paper, we analyzed the determinants and internal mechanism of urban design competitiveness, extracted the elements and evaluation indicators, and laid the theoretical foundation for the further construction of the evaluation model. Abstract:With the development of technology, the improvement of living standards, personalized designs that emphasize diversity and self-fulfillment are becoming more and more popular. As a result, designers must focus more on user needs. Traditionally, most of designers only focus on satisfying users’ functional needs and often ignore users’ emotional and psychological needs. This paper presents a design method that combines interaction design with axiomatic design. The proposed method first employs interaction design to acquire user needs with respect to three aspects: “people”, “products” and “environment” and then adopts axiomatic design to complete the conceptual design. The methodology is demonstrated and validated with a case study of children bicycle. The results show that the proposed method significantly enhances users’ experience of the product and meets more comprehensive user needs, especially in terms of users’ psychological and spiritual needs.

Abstract:The theory of sustainable business process reengineering has been widely applied in various disciplines and has achieved outstanding results. The theory is used to the research of product innovation design method in this work, and the entire process of product innovation design method is reshaped, bringing new development and new direction for product innovation design. Redesign processes in line with societal trends and in a sustainable direction. Furthermore, it may effectively address the inadequacies of conventional design methodologies during the application process. Then, increase corporate efficiency in order to accomplish significant improvements in enterprise cost, quality, service, and speed. The study applies the systematic induction method, research analysis method, and other comprehensive research methods to analyze and study the existing design process and method, as well as excavate the shortcomings and limitations that exist in the process's application of the existing design method. Based on the BPR theory, the sustainable innovation design method for full chain products is divided into five design processes: scenario implantation, requirement extraction, functional determination, structural optimization, formal innovation, and material selection. In addition, the feasibility and accuracy of this method are verified through lifesaving equipment cases. Secondly, three principles for sustainable product innovation design were proposed. On the one hand, products made by designers and college students can truly meet customer needs, generate disruptive innovative designs, and improve the market competitiveness of industrial products. On the other hand, design is no longer a single stage, but a complete, systematic, and comprehensive set of design processes aimed at improving design efficiency and achieving sustainable product development.

Abstract:Nowadays China is undergoing a development at top speed. The consumption capacity and acceptance to social service products are expanding every year. Especially, the social innovation and service design products based on light-tech and low-cost are very well received. As a very old oriental nation, Chinese have typical characteristics such as implicative, indirect, etc. As well as young people in China who were impacted by western culture in recent decades very like contracted and fashionable design. These provide very good keywords and references for social emotional interaction design in China. This article aimed at Chinese style emotional and interpersonal communication traits to discuss the concept of social emotional interaction design in Chinese design education and research, and advance a method of light-tech driven prototyping used to realize social emotional interaction prototypes. At the end of the article we gave some cases to show our researches and practices in our lab and courses.

New science and technology are rapidly flooding urban space, and people’s lifestyle and value orientation have undergone subversive changes. In the field of public art, the works of public art in the city are no longer the aesthetic expression of a single individual, but the reaction medium of the interactive relationships between people and things, person and person, people and natural world. Interactive, experiential and participatory design methods are increasingly valued and become the most direct manifestation of the “publicity” of art. This article will take interactive design in urban public art as the main research object, carry out a local investigation on the practice of urban public art in Shanghai area, relying on the case, focus on analyzing the presentation types, formal characteristics and connotation levels of interactive design, and discuss the construction way of emotional ties and cultural identity among artists, designers and the public. The purpose of this study is to explore the new trend of the development of interactive creative forms and design methods of urban public art, and to recognize that the future practices of urban public art is bound to grow dynamically and is an organic art that includes science and technology, experience and feedback, thoughts and expressions, aesthetic activities and the overall environment of life.
