Abstract:This paper gives an outline of the language viewpoints of Guanzi. Guanzi discussed strongly on the relation between speech and morality, name and actuality. It also proposed many criteria of the behavior of language when one cultivate one's moral character, make friends, manage his family or administrate a country.

Abstract:Theories on Guanxi being developed and improved becomes the focus for researchers in the fields of sociology,psychology,management and anthropology.Guanxi acts with cultural,transferable,reciprocal,intangible,utilitarian and long-term characteristics.Guanxi is formed with cultural,political and social reasons.Guanxi is influenced by organizational,strategic,institutional and individual factors.The outcomes of Guanxi are performance improvement,individual knowledge transferring and trust increasing.According to domestic and foreign literatures,this paper reviews Guanxi researchs and points out the future research directions.

Abstract:There are many diverse opinions from different aspects in Confucian "Zheng Ming".It arranges in three angles from a philosophy of language standpoint: the relationship between "ming"(name) and "shi"(nature),the relationship between "yan"(speaking) and "shi"(thing),and gentleman should hold his tongue.Although he inverted the relationship between "ming"(name) and "shi"(nature),"yan"(speaking) and "shi"(thing) from a philosophy standpoint,his theories do make sense from a philosophy of language standpoint.The view of gentleman holding his tongue not only is far-sighted but also has practical significance.

Abstract:Guoxiang elucidates his views about right and wrong by annotating Zhuangzi's distinguishing right from wrong.He thinks prejudice is the root of right and wrong,demonstrating the equating of right and wrong at every level in a relative way.Because Guoxiang's views about right and wrong obeying his the core theory of the freedom by meeting nature,his purpose in demonstrating the equating on right and wrong lies in prejudice,finally proving the freedom theory.Guoxiang's views about right and wrong intentionally deviate Zhuangzi's distinguishing right from wrong theoretically.

Abstract:Zhouyi,a philosophic literature with rich and profound meanings,has an in-depth discussion on discourse action,which is mainly shown in three aspects.First,as to the relations between speech and effect,a good discourse act is an important way to build sound morality such as honesty.Speech action is one of the key factors deciding the moral character of a man of honor.Zhouyi has a characteristic of being"beautiful in language"and"profound in meaning". Speech action is found to be"endless"as well.The second aspect is about the relations between utterance and context.Speech act is closely related to the social state.At the same time,special attention should be given to speaker's mentality and his/her opportunity to speak so as to obtain the anticipated results.Finally,it is emphasized that utterance should really mean something and should be faithful to facts."Inhumanity"and"sycophancy"are criticized,thus deepening the meaning of faithfulness,justice and humanity in the thought of Confucian discourses.

Abstract:The term Guo Xue(literally,traditional Chinese learning) was widely used among Chinese scholars in 1920s'.Its research scope,however,remains in question.The top priority should thus be given to defining it from both academic and ideological perspectives.Culturally and ideologically,Guo Xue primarily refers to Confucianism,Daoism and Buddism,which are quite different in core value from each other.Its ultimate goal is to achieve the revival of Chinese nation as well as culture by fully exposing the value orientaion and the meaning of life of above three ideological schools.

Abstract:Poetics was compiled by Confucius'disciples who have attended his lectures on Poetry. Most prob ably it should be Zi Xia according to relative reference books. Dwelling upon th is problem now, one can discern that though there is ideological inheritance amo ng Poetics, Preface to Poetry, and Mao Zhuan , there is considerable difference, especially regarding to Guan Ju and other six articles. Instead of being written by Zi Xia himself,Preface to Poetry is the product of the systematic research on Poetry starting from Zi Xia. Nevertheless, both Preface to Poetry and Mao Zhuan represent similarities with Poetics, which is of great importance for us to recognize the inh eritance of Poetics study.

Abstract:In his manuscript Rong An Guan Zha Ji,Qian Zhongshu offers harsh criticism upon Xu Yueqing,the Neo-Confucian poet of the late Song dynasty.His critical remarks contain abundant poetic thoughts.With reference to the interrelated contents in Tan Yi Lu,Song shi Xuan zhu and Guan zhui Bian,we can interpretate the connotation of Mr.Qian's remarks.Meanwhile,we should also probe into Mr.Qian's brilliant views on the relationship among Neo-Confucianism,moral integrity,and the poetry of the late Song dynasty,and thus reexamine the position of such elements as Neo-Confucianism and moral integrity in Mr.Qian's poetry evaluation system.

Abstract:Zhu Xi's Dong gui luan gao represents Zhu Xi's journey experience and his own endeavor. The implications of the poetry anthology can be summarized as xin and Dao xin. Reflecting Zhu Xi's personality, Gui xin implies ethics and morality. Melancholy thinking of his family members in a strange place is an example showing his deep ethical emotion. Dominated with philosophy, Dao xin combines personal observation with aesthetic outlook. The informal style of Zhu Xi's poems results from his regarding philosophy as poetry and using poems as teaching resources. Zhu Xi's philosophical poetry was full of vitality in his times, reflecting his viewpoint, emotion and philosophical life, visualizing characteristics of philosophical discourses, widening aesthetic scope of Song poetry, enhancing applicable functions of the poetry. On the eastward journey, Zhu Xi created by chanting a myth keeping rationalistic thinking in harmony with ethical emotion and life taste.

Abstract:Wenzi contains abundant practical wisdom thoughts which can be summed up in two aspects. On one hand, the practical wisdom is ”following nature”, ”noninterference” and ”human's self-cultivation” if you understand Dao. On the other hand, it is ”wisdom” and ”tradeoff” if you can't understand Dao. The contemporary significance of Wenzi's practical wisdom is that it has important reference value for solving the problem of the relationship between human and nature.

Abstract:: The researches on the Legalist thoughts in "Guanzi" in Taiwan China had been very popular and special among Taiwan scholars, but it was less understood and systematically reviewed by mainland scholars. Taiwan scholars had not only compared the Legalist thoughts in "Guanzi" with those in other classics, but also they paid attention to the inheritance and fusion of the Legalist thoughts in "Guanzi" as well as in other legislative schools. The concept of the Legalist thoughts, the principles, and the characteristics of the Legalist thoughts in "Guanzi" were their interesting points for Taiwan scholars in their researches. The perspectives of Taiwan scholars could provide some references for scholars in Mainland China and other countries.

Abstract:This paper,by an analysis of the specific examples quoted in the book Commentaries on "Guang Ya"("Guang Ya" is a commentary dictionary on Chinese classics edited by Zhang Yi,an ancient Chinese scholar in the 3rd century),argues that its author Wang Niansun was able to distinguish the meaning of langue and the meaning of parole;however,in his proofreading commentaries,he still adhered to the traditional principle of "context-based defining of word-meaning",attaching more importance to the meaning of parole.The paper probes into the several manifestations of the principle observed in the book.

Abstract:The rhetorical form of eight-part essay is directly influenced by the way of proposition and the viewpoint of Confucian classics, and is also closely related to the cultural trend of thought and article fashion in a specific historical period. In the Ming and Qing dynasties, the proposition way of eight-part essay experienced a change process from complete meaning to incomplete meaning, and the Confucian classics view of taking a prudent attitude towards Zhu Xi’s annotation appeared. “Gunzuo” is an important rhetorical term in eight-part essay. It not only inherits the tradition of ancient prose, but also responds to the way of proposition since the late Ming Dynasty. It began to be popular in the Wanli period and was widely practiced and theoretically generalized in the eight-part essay writing of the Qing Dynasty. It constructs the aesthetic form of eight-part essay in a unique way since the late Ming Dynasty, and also echoes the aesthetic trend of the times.

Abstract:The "Linquan Gaozhi" of Guo Xi in the North Song Dynasty is one of the greatest theory volumes on Chinese landscape painting. Its aesthetic value is that it gives the definite answer of the essential characteristic, that is,it roots in the people's nature of enjoying the natural mountains and waters,and discusses the homologous relationship between the change of people' s emotions and the variety of the landscape. The artistic value depends on putting forward the viewpoint of art generalize: absorbing the soul from the nature, and the visual principle of Chinese landscape painting as well as the space representation of indicating discipline of the"three perspectives".

Abstract:Examining Zhang Zai's viewpoint of Buddhism from a cognitive perspective, we can find Zhang Zai's critical and repellent attitude towards Buddhism, which is involved in the fields of ontology, the theory of mind and the theory of cause and effect, the way of preaching and so on. On the ontological level, and from the aspects of movement of gas, the varied existential forms of void, the function of void and the reality of life, Zhang Zai proves the existence of the void, denies the Buddhist doctrine that everything is unreal and criticizes the Buddhist idea of karma on the basis of his gasification theory. And in respect of heart and Zhang Zai criticizes Buddhist thoughts of regarding the felling as the nature, destroying people,s nature, getting rid of the ethic and discussing the heaven's nature arrogantly, which indicates Zhang Zai's great wish to revive Confucianism and his firm consciousness of Confucian orthodoxy. However, it also reflects his bigoted attitude towards and misreading of Buddhism.

Abstract:Wang Guo-wei interpreted li(reason or rationalism) from knowledge,metaphysical and ethical points of view. He applied the principle of knowledge as the fundamental principle to interpreting li and thereby negated its metaphysical and ethical meanings,which revealed Wang's intention to alter the mystical element intraditional Chinese philosophy. However,the practice of this intention neglected the particular content and value of li in traditional Chinese philosophy and therefore impaired the unity and significance of his interpretation. Thus the question of how to keep the balance between interpreting and interpreted still remains unsolved.
