Abstract:With the development of network,it is more difficult to manage the network.Simple network management protocol(SNMP) is the suitable protocol for the need of network management.SNMP++ is a set of C++ class libraries supplied by HP company.It can extremely simplify the development of network management software.First,this paper introduced the definition and framework of SNMP with graphs.Then,it illuminated common classes and member functions of SNMP++ class libraries.In the end of the thesis,it discussed how to implement an SNMP++ based simple network management platform with the IDE of VC++6.0.

Abstract:The Simple Network Management Protocol (SNMP) is currently the dominant network management standard for the TCP/IP networking environment. Fundamental to SNMP is the management information base (MIB). The heart of SNMP is the protocol. In this paper, we propose an approach to formalize our understanding of SNMP. We will prove that MIB with lexicographic order is a well- founded set. We will also provide formal semantics for protocol operations by derivation.

Abstract:Put forward a SNMP extensible agent based network simulator design architecture, which applies SNMP Extendible Agent architecture to current SNMP agent simulator systems. It creates one master-agent and several sub-agents. Every sub-agent simulates a network device, and communicates with the SNMP management side via the master-agent. Thus it implements the simulation of a certain size of network and meets the requirement for a test environment during developing network management project.

Abstract:This article introduces the protocol of network management, SNMP. Including network management modelthe development of SNMP and the choice of software packet. Using the free open net-snmp software packages, the article discusses the SNMP agents design scheme and the implement process based on Linux. Testing result illustrates that the module is able to monitor equipment remotely and efficiently, and the design method is practicable and instructive in other remote monitoring area with safety requirement.

Abstract:A new dynamic hierarchical network management system model based on Java and Simple Network Management Protocol (SNMP) is proposed. The model supports dynamic information model upgrades of mid-level manager. The mobile code mechanism is implemented using Java dynamic class loader and reflection. The security is guaranteed by using security mechanism of SNMP v3. A prototype is implemented and some upgrade use cases is described to show the availability of the model. The performance including time consume is measured and analyzed. The experimental results show that systems based on this model are simple, elegant, flexible and practical.

SNMP can manage effectively ATM network,the core of B-ISDN, and was easier to implement than other management protocol. On the basis of ATM Forum and RFC,model of management information was made,Manager and Agent was described in detail especially in ILMI interface. This model can be applied to ATM switch and is simpler and more efficient and lower in cost than CORBA or TMN (Q3).

Abstract:In current ground systems of spaceflight TTC systems,the network communication protocol standard between the client of remote control center and ground station devices server is not unified.In view of this problem,a C/S(Client/Server) remote monitoring and control management system is proposed based on SNMP(Simple Network Management Protocol).First,a prototype system is designed,and then the application of SNMP in remote monitoring and control is analysed through communication transmission experiment by simulating the network environment.Finally,it is pointed out that SNMP can be a solution to unify the network communication protocol standard in the remote monitoring and control management system.

Abstract:Research and analysis has been carried out on two system management technologies.One is based on Simple Network Management Protocol(SNMP),the other is based on web based enterprise management(WBEM).Through comparisons on scalability,response speed,web service supportiveness and other aspects,the strengths and weaknesses of SNMP and WBEM are individually summarized.Hence a new framework that utilizes WBEM to manage SNMP compatible devices is proposed.Then with the combined framework of SNMP and WBEM,the management over system underlying resources is realized.Experiment demonstrates that SNMP devices can be integrated into WBEM system by just a few simple steps.The combined framework on the one hand helps the distributed management over devices,on the other hand,by combining web services,provides even more useful interfaces to enable devices that previously only supports SNMP to be able to support accesses from more interfaces.
