Analysis of Vaginal Stump Rectus Abdominis Protheca Suspension in 11 Patients

Abstract:Objective:To explore the clinical effect of vaginal stump rectus abdominis protheca suspension after hysterectomy for pelvic organ prolapse.Methods:Half the both side of vaginal stump were sutured or by two silk No.10 or both side of the vaginal stump were sutured one stitch respectively with 8-shaped with no through vaginal mucosa as soon as possible,withdrawing the needle from bilateral bladder to rectus abdominis and protheca.The distance between the two silk was about 1 cm at each side.Results:Original vaginal wall and vaginal stump prolapse disappeared after anterior vaginal wall and posterior vaginal wall upward strain and abdominal pressure rising.No evidence of recurrence or postoperative complication was noted from 6 mouths to 10 years after surgery.Conclusion:Vaginal stump rectus abdominis protheca suspension has good effects with simple operation,less palindromia and few complication in descensus uteri and coleoptosis,particularly in severe procidentia.
