Adsorption Characteristics of Bentonite to Pb~(2+),Zn~(2+),Cr(VI),Cd~(2+)

Abstract:The actors of influence in using bentonite to adsorb Pb~(2+),Zn~(2+),Cr(VI),Cd~(2+) were discussed.The adsorption was tested under laboratory conditions as a functions of pH,adsorption time and quantity of bentonite.The results of this research show that the adsorption capacity of bentonite to Pb~(2+),Zn~(2+),Cd~(2+) is better than to Cr(VI) and the adsorption capacity strongly depends on pH.The research also indicates that the adsorption form may be mainly surface complex and ions exchange.
