Abstract:Let $\mathfrak a$ be an algebraic Lie subalgebra of a simple Lie algebra $\mathfrak g$ with index $\mathfrak a \leq \rank \mathfrak g$. Let $Y(\mathfrak a)$ denote the algebra of $\mathfrak a$ invariant polynomial functions on $\mathfrak a^*$. An algebraic slice for $\mathfrak a$ is an affine subspace $\eta+V$ with $\eta \in \mathfrak a^*$ and $V \subset \mathfrak a^*$ a subspace of dimension index $\mathfrak a$ such that restriction of function induces an isomorphism of $Y(\mathfrak a)$ onto the algebra $R[\eta+V]$ of regular functions on $\eta+V$. Slices have been obtained in a number of cases through the construction of an adapted pair $(h,\eta)$ in which $h \in\mathfrak a$ is ad-semisimple, $\eta$ is a regular element of $\mathfrak a^*$ which is an eigenvector for $h$ of eigenvalue minus one and $V$ is an $h$ stable complement to $(\ad \mathfrak a)\eta$ in $\mathfrak a^*$. The classical case is for $\mathfrak g$ semisimple. Yet rather recently many other cases have been provided. For example if $\mathfrak g$ is of type $A$ and $\mathfrak a$ is a "truncated biparabolic" or a centralizer. In some of these cases (particular when the biparabolic is a Borel subalgebra) it was found that $\eta$ could be taken to be the restriction of a regular nilpotent element in $\mathfrak g$. Moreover this calculation suggested how to construct slices outside type $A$ when no adapted pair exists. This article makes a first step in taking these ideas further. Specifically let $\mathfrak a$ be a truncated biparabolic of index one (and then $\mathfrak g$ is of type $A$). In this case it is shown that the second member of an adapted pair $(h,\eta)$ for $\mathfrak a$ is the restriction of a particularly carefully chosen regular nilpotent element of $\mathfrak g$.

Abstract:In this paper we show that acyclic $n$-slice algebras are exactly acyclic $n$-hereditary algebras whose $(n+1)$-preprojective algebras are $(q+1,n+1)$-Koszul. We also list the equivalent triangulated categories arising from the algebra constructions related to an $n$-slice algebra. We show that higher slice algebras of finite type appear in pairs and they share the Auslander-Reiten quiver for their higher preprojective components.

Abstract:Let be an artin algebra and S a nite set of indecomposable { modules such that add S is closed under submodules or factor modules. We show that the endomorphism algebra A S := (End(X2S X)) op has global dimension 2. This produces a large class of quasi{hereditary algebras. Further, we generalize the notion of a splitting ltration introduced by Dlab and Ringel and deene left and right splitting ltrations of S. Heredity chains of A S associated with these ltrations are obtained. Auslander algebra A(() of a representation{{nite artin algebra is by definition the endomorphism algebra (End (M)) op , where M is the direct sum of all indecomposable {modules. It is well{known that the global dimension of A(() is at most 2, thus, by a result of Dlab and Ringel 3], A(() is quasi{ hereditary. In 4] the authors introduced the notion of a splitting ltration on the class of all indecomposable {modules and obtained in this way a heredity chain of ideals of A((). In the present paper we deal with nite sets S of indecomposable modules over an arbitrary artin algebra and show that the endomorphism algebra A S := (End (X2S X)) op has global dimension 2 if add S is closed under submodules or factor modules. Further, we generalize the notion of a splitting ltration in 4] and deene left and right splitting ltrations of S. It turns out that the notions of left and right ltrations are well{adapted to our general set{up and are closely related to notions of preinjective and preprojective partitions of S. Following 4], heredity chains of ideals of A S associated with these ltrations are obtained. Abstract:Given an Artinian algebra A over a field k, there are several combinatorial objects associated to A. They are the diagram D-A as defined by Drozd and Kirichenko, the natural quiver Delta(A) defined by Li (cf. Section 2), and a generalized version of k-species (A/r, r/r(2)) with r being the Jacobson radical of A. When A is splitting over the field k, the diagram D-A and the well-known Ext-quiver Gamma(A) are the same. The main objective of this paper is to investigate the relations among these combinatorial objects and in turn to use these relations to give a characterization of the algebra A.

Abstract:In this article, we give a simple explicit construction of an affine slice for the coadjoint action of a certain class of biparabolic (also called seaweed) subalgebras of a semisimple Lie algebra over an algebraically closed field of characteristic zero. In particular, this class includes all Borel subalgebras.

Abstract:Very recently, the concept of generalized partial-slice monogenic (or regular) functions has been introduced to unify the theory of monogenic functions and of slice monogenic functions over Clifford algebras. Inspired by the work of A. Perotti, in this paper we provide two analogous versions of the Almansi decomposition in this new setting. Additionally, two enhancements of the Fueter-Sce theorem have been obtained for generalized partial-slice regular functions.

Abstract:In this paper we summarize some known facts on slice topology in the quaternionic case, and we deepen some of them by proving new results and discussing some examples. We then show, following [18], how this setting allows us to generalize slice analysis to the general case of functions with values in a real left alternative algebra, which includes the case of slice monogenic functions with values in Clifford algebra. Moreover, we further extend slice analysis, in one and several variables, to functions with values in a Euclidean space of even dimension. In this framework, we study the domains of slice regularity, we prove some extension properties and the validity of a Taylor expansion for a slice regular function.

Abstract:Let A be a hereditary artin algebra and M a complete exceptional sequence over A. Let F(M) be the subcategory of A-mod consisting of modules with an M-filtration. A quasi-hereditary algebra is called e-quasi-hereditary provided that its Δ-good module category is equivalent to the category F(M) under an exact functor. A characterization of e-quasi-hereditary algebras is given, and a connection between the representation type of F(Δ) and the Tits form associated to it for some e-quasi-hereditary algebras is obtained in this paper.

Abstract:The motivation of this paper is to study the natural quiver of an artinian algebra, a new kind of quivers, as a tool independing upon the associated basic algebra. In [5], the notion of the natural quiver of an artinian algebra was introduced and then was used to generalize the Gabriel theorem for non-basic artinian algebras splitting over radicals and non-basic finite dimensional algebras with 2-nilpotent radicals via pseudo path algebras and generalized path algebras respectively. In this paper, firstly we consider the relationship between the natural quiver and the ordinary quiver of a finite dimensional algebra. Secondly, the generalized Gabriel theorem is obtained for radical-graded artinian algebras. Moreover, Gabriel-type algebras are introduced to outline those artinian algebras satisfying the generalized Gabriel theorem here and in [5]. For such algebras, the uniqueness of the related generalized path algebra and quiver holds up to isomorphism in the case when the ideal is admissible. For an artinian algebra, there are two basic algebras, the first is that associated to the algebra itself; the second is that associated to the correspondent generalized path algebra. In the final part, it is shown that for a Gabriel-type artinian algebra, the first basic algebra is a quotient of the second basic algebra. Abstract:The $n$-slice algebra is introduced as a generalization of path algebra in higher dimensional representation theory. In this paper, we give a classification of $n$-slice algebras via their $(n+1)$-preprojective algebras and the trivial extensions of their quadratic duals. One can always relate tame $n$-slice algebras to the McKay quiver of a finite subgroup of $\mathrm{GL}(n+1, \mathbb C)$. In the case of $n=2$, we describe the relations for the $2$-slice algebras related to the McKay quiver of finite Abelian subgroups of $\mathrm{SL}(3, \mathbb C)$ and of the finite subgroups obtained from embedding $\mathrm{SL}(2, \mathbb C)$ into $\mathrm{SL}(3,\mathbb C)$.

Abstract:The sliced skein algebra of a closed surface of genus $g$ with $m$ punctures, $\mathfrak{S}=\Sigma_{g,m}$, is the quotient of the Kauffman bracket skein algebra $\mathcal{S}_\xi(\mathfrak{S})$ corresponding to fixing the scalar values of its peripheral curves. We show that the sliced skein algebra of a finite type surface is a domain if the ground ring is a domain. When the quantum parameter $\xi$ is a root of unity we calculate the center of the sliced skein algebra and its PI-degree. Among applications we show that any smooth point of a sliced character variety is a fully Azumaya point of the skein algebra $\mathcal{S}_\xi(\mathfrak{S})$. For any $SL_2(\mathbb{C})$--representation $\rho$ of the fundamental group of an oriented connected 3-manifold $M$ and a root of unity $\xi$ with odd $ord(\xi^2)$, we introduce the $\rho$-reduced skein module $\mathcal{S}_{\xi,\rho}(M)$. We show that $\mathcal{S}_{\xi,\rho}(M)$ has dimension 1 when $M$ is closed and $\rho$ is irreducible. We also show that if $\rho$ is irreducible the $\rho$-reduced skein module of a handlebody, as a module over the skein algebra of its boundary, is simple and has the dimension equal to the PI-degree of the skein algebra of its boundary.

Representation theory of graded algebras given by locally finite quivers

Abstract:This paper aims to study graded modules over a graded algebra $\La$ given by a locally finite quiver with homogeneous relations. By constructing a graded Nakayama functor, we discover a novel approach to establish Auslander-Reiten formulas, from which we derive almost split sequences in the category of all graded $\La$-modules. In case $\La$ is locally left (respectively, right) bounded, the category of finitely presented graded modules and that of finitely copresented graded modules both have almost split sequences on the left (respectively, right). We shall also obtain existence theorems for almost split triangles in various derived categories of graded $\La$-modules. In case $\La$ is locally bounded, an indecomposable complex in the bounded derived category of finite dimensional graded modules is the starting (respectively, ending) term of an almost split triangle if and only if it has a finite graded projective reso\-lution (respectively, injective coresolution); and consequently, this bounded derived category has almost split triangles on the right (respectively, left) if and only if every graded simple module is of finite graded projective (respectively, injective) dimension. Finally, we specialize to the existence of almost split sequences and almost split triangles for graded representations of any locally finite quiver.

We generalize the result of [5], and show that if the quiver of A has no oriented cycles, then the fundamental group of any presentation of A by quiver and relations (as defined in [6]) is the quotient of the fundamental group of a privileged presentation of A. In a more general case, we cite and analyze the example given in [3].

Abstract:A quasi-hereditary algebra is an Artin algebra together with a partial order on its set of isomorphism classes of simple modules which satisfies certain conditions. In this article we investigate all the possible choices that yield to quasi-hereditary structures on a given algebra, in particular we introduce and study what we call the poset of quasi-hereditary structures. Our techniques involve certain quiver decompositions and idempotent reductions. For a path algebra of Dynkin type $\mathbb{A}$, we provide a full classification of its quasi-hereditary structures. For types $\mathbb{D}$ and $\mathbb{E}$, we give a counting method for the number of quasi-hereditary structures. In the case of a hereditary incidence algebra, we present a necessary and sufficient condition for its poset of quasi-hereditary structures to be a lattice.

Abstract:A moduli algebra A ( V ) of hypersurface singularity ( V , 0) is a finite dimensional C -algebra. In 1982, Mather and Yau proved that two germs of complex analytic hypersurfaces of the same dimension with isolated singularities are biholomorphically equivalent if and only if their moduli algebra are isomorphic. It is a natural question to ask for a necessary and sufficient condition for a complex analytic isolated hypersurface singularity to be quasi-homogeneous in terms of its moduli algebra. In this paper we prove that ( V , 0) admits a quasi-homogeneous structure if and only if its moduli algebra is isomorphic to a finite dimensional nonnegatively graded algebra. In 1983, Yau introduced a finite dimensional Lie algebra L ( V ) to an isolated hypersurface singularity ( V , 0). L ( V ) is defined to be the algebra of derivations of the moduli algebra A ( V ) and is finite dimensional. We prove that ( V , 0) is quasi-homogeneous singularity if (1) L ( V ) is isomorphic to a nonnegatively graded Lie algebra without center, (2) There exists E in L ( V ) of degree zero such that [ E, D i ] = i D i for any D i in L ( V ) of degree i , and (3) For any element a ∈ m - m 2 where m is the maximal ideal of A ( V ), aE is not in degree zero part of L ( V ).

Abstract:A notion of a split quasi-hereditary algebra has been defined by Cline, Parshall and Scott. Du and Rui describe a based approach to split quasi-hereditary algebras. We develop this approach further to show that over a complete local Noetherian ring, one can achieve even stronger basis properties. This is important for `schurifying' quasi-hereditary algebras as developed in our subsequent work. The schurification procedure associates to an algebra $A$ a new algebra, which is the classical Schur algebra if $A$ is a field. Schurification produces interesting new quasi-hereditary and cellular algebras. It is important to work over an integral domain of characteristic zero, taking into account a super-structure on the input algebra $A$. So we pay attention to super-structures on quasi-hereditary algebras and investigate a subtle conforming property of heredity data which is crucial to guarantee that the schurification of $A$ is quasi-hereditary if so is $A$. We establish a Morita equivalence result which allows us to pass to basic quasi-hereditary algebras preserving conformity.

Abstract:Given a field k and a subgroup H of a finite group G , we define a duality for quotients of homomorphisms of kG -modules modulo kG -homomorphisms that factors through a relatively H -projective kG -module. This generalizes the classical Auslander–Reiten duality for group algebras. As an application, we use the generalized Auslander–Reiten duality to give a new way for constructing almost split sequences.

Abstract: We study certain modules over the algebra of a Cartier divisor on a scheme. Using these modules, we present an inductive method for studying finite generation properties of algebras and modules. In the context of the minimal model program, we show that finite generation of log canonical algebras and modules is equivalent to the minimal model and abundance conjectures.
