Abstract:Chemical investigation of the roots of Chloranthus japonicus Sieb . has resulted in the isolation and characterization of four new eudesmane‐type sesquiterpenes including two new sesquiterpene cinnamates, along with one new and two known sesquiterpene dimers. Their structures were established by spectroscopic means and by comparison with the respective literature values.
