Abstract:Asphalt pavement with semi-rigid base is the major structure adopted in the new built highway and municipal roads in China. So as to reduce the unfavorable impact on the rehabilitation of municipal roads which require quick resumption of traffic, better base materials should be adopted. If a pavement base fails, the flexible base, i.e. large stone asphalt mixture (LSAM), should be employed in the pavement rehabilitation practice. Focusing on the practice pavement sections using LSAM as base in Hangzhou municipal roads, the effect factors of subgrade modulus, base modulus and base thickness on surface deflection and bending strain in base bottom is analyzed. That work is done through finite element method of software BISAR3.0. The results provide a practice reference for municipal roads rehabilitation needing to open traffic early.

Abstract:Complexly huge landslide is a kind of intractable objiect to treat with on mountainous highway construction.K103 slope is one of typically latent rock landslide on Hang-jin-qu expressway.Its volume is about 1.60×106m3,and its geology condition is quite complicated.Treament schemes against landslide is intractable to be made for its constant flow of traffic on road.Deformation stage of landslide and sliding condition are both made conclusion by analysis of boring holes with GIS and 2D LEM calculation on slope stability.Comprehensive treatment countermeasures has been taken,and its achieved experience should be shared.

Abstract:Main types of the pier,abutment and foundation in substructure of RC or PC bridges in China were summarized respectively.It was pointed out that the main diseases in substructure of concrete bridges were differential settlement of foundations,insufficient carrying capacity,durability diseases of reinforced concrete,cracking of concrete pier columns,bent caps and abutments etc..In allusion to the concrete pier,abutment and foundation,the causes and mechanisms of these diseases were analyzed from the design,construction,maintenance and operation of bridges.The relevant maintenance and strengthening methods were also discussed,such as the foundation enlargement method,adding pile method and artificial foundation reinforcement method for concrete and RC pier or abutment foundation;the method of RC columns reinforced by reinforced concrete hoop or FRP for piers,the reinforcement method of pasting steel strips or plates,the method of external prestressed reinforcement and additional support method,etc.for RC bent caps;the method of reducing load,the method of reducing filling height by adding approach spans,the support beam method and the reinforcement method of installing auxiliary retaining wall,etc.for RC abutments.

The quality and safety of highway construction directly affects the driving comfort, safety, and service life after it is put into operation. Among them, asphalt pavement is an important structure in highway construction, and it is also a key link that directly affects the construction quality. In order to ensure the quality of construction, it is necessary to strengthen on-site testing during the construction process to discover problems in time, and to ensure that the construction is up to standard. This paper mainly presents an analysis on the necessity and application of on-site quality inspection technology for asphalt pavement construction of highway engineering, and outlines measures to improve highway engineering construction testing technology.

Abstract:In this paper the major types of piers, abutment and foundation in substructure of RC or PC bridges in China are summarized. The main types of defects occurring in substructure of concrete bridges including uneven settlement of foundation, lower carrying capacity, durability defects of reinforced concrete and cracking of concrete pier columns as well as abutments and cap beams have been pointed out. In addition to the concrete pier, abutment and foundation, the causes and mechanisms of these defects were analyzed from different points of view such as design, construction, maintenance and operation management. The relevant maintenance and strengthening methods were discussed and put forward, such as the foundation enlargement method, adding pile method and artificial foundation reinforcement method for concrete and RC pier or abutment foundation, the method of RC pier columns reinforced by RC hoop or FRP for piers, the reinforcement method of pasting steel strip or plate, the method reinforced by external prestressed tendons and additional support columns method for RC cap beams, the method of reducing load, the method of reducing fill height by adding numbers of approach spans, the support beam method and the method reinforced by auxiliary retaining wall for RC abutments. It is possible to recover the function of the RC or PC bridges and enhance their durability and load carrying capacity by employing corresponding maintenance and strengthening measures. At the same time, vehicle overload should be strictly limited according to the structural safety matters.

Abstract:Abstract In the context of rapid social and economic development, the transportation industry is under increasing pressure, and the requirements of vehicles on roads are increasing. People are paying more and more attention to the quality of asphalt pavement. However, due to the threat of excessive diseases, the pavement is prone to water damage and cracks. Therefore, it is particularly important to strengthen the quality control of asphalt pavement construction and disease prevention. Based on this, this article conducts an in-depth study on asphalt pavement disease and construction quality control under the background of big data. Based on the big data mining technology, this paper realizes the research on the relationship between pavement disease problems and influencing factors such as air temperature, surface porosity and traffic load, summarizes and analyzes several problems in the construction process, and proposes common disease prevention measures. Research shows that to improve construction quality management, it is necessary to establish a construction information database based on scientific statistical methods, monitor key indicators in the construction process in real time, and control and manage the entire construction process. Once problems are found, effective measures must be taken Solve it in time to ensure that the construction can be carried out smoothly, thereby effectively improving the level of pavement construction.
