Abstract:A set of safety evaluating index system is established in accordance with various factors influencing safety of the urban road.This paper applies fuzzy mathematic method to evaluate safety,establishes an evaluation model and thus estimates the safety of roads in Shi jiazhuang.Finally,a practical evaluating result for safety status is achieved.

Abstract:Based on the analysis on limitation of present common road accident-prone location identification method and multidimensionality of road risk indicated by accident sample,information assignment technology was introduced to process traffic accident data to reduce the impact of the division of the road section on the accident rate.Besides,risk assessment was also introduced to process the safety evaluation of road section which is to make good use of the possibility of traffic accident and the loss of traffic accident to build up the road risk assessment matrix model.Finally,the method was compared with traditional road accident-prone location identification method.The conclusion is that:safety evaluation method of freeway segment based on the fuzzy information distribution method and risk assessment is more efficient and reliable,which can reflect the actual situation of road risk.So it is an effective,simple and practical method.

Abstract:To evaluate the traffic safety management level of the road traffic safety management facilities comprehensively, objectively and accurately is concerned to many complex and uncertain factors. This paper adopted fuzzy mathematics theory to evaluate the efficacies of road traffic safety management facilities. To reduce the negative effects of human subjective factors on determination of the weight coefficients, its weight coefficients were defined by grey correlation degree analysis. A district of Shanghai was taken as an example, results show that the evaluation method presented can reflect the management level of road traffic safety management facilities in a more comprehensive and objective manner.

Abstract:Vehicle bumping at bridge-head seriously affects traveling comfort and safety on the high-grade highway.It greatly reduces the operational efficiency of high-grade highways and the overall level of service.At present,there is no feasible index or way to evaluate the impact of vehicle bumping at bridge-head on driving safety.In order to solve this problem,the paper presents evaluation indexes of the impact of vehicle bumping at bridge-head on driving safety from the point of view of basic element of road and environment which impacts driving safety,and the evaluation model is established based on analytical hierarchy process and fuzzy comprehensive evaluation method.The paper also presents the evaluation indexes and fuzzy comprehensive evaluation model of the impact of vehicle bumping at bridge-head on driving safety.By the analytic hierarchical process method,the weights of the evaluation indexes were then determined,with the three rating evaluation aggregate parameters well founded.Finally,evaluation system of vehicle bumping at bridge-head on driving safety is developed based on MATLAB software.And for the sake of the convenience of users,we use the function of GUI of MATLAB and the evaluation system is used in typical practical engineering for assessment.The result is in line with the actual situation,and it has very good referential value to sovle the problem of driving safety at bridge-head.It provides an evaluation method of vehicle bumping at bridge-head on driving safety and has a good effect on application.

Abstract:An improved Fuzzy-AHP method is proposed in this paper for evaluation road traffic safety, based on the traditional AHP method. Several main indexes of road traffic safety were summarized and (0.1∼0.9) scale method was used to determine the importance of each evaluation index. The weight of each index was confirmed through adopting a fuzzy consistent matrix, queuing all indexes according to their importance, and adopting a measure of accident prevention according to this. At the same time this verified the effectiveness and rationality of the method.

Abstract:In this paper, based on the attribute mathematics, we build urban traffic level of service evaluation model which the traffic management oriented in the urban traffic. This model synthesized considered the indexes value of attribute measure in the judgement systems, and used attribute recognition approach to resolve some problems that the level of service in urban traffic. The model can offer the decision basis for Urban traffic management. Especially this approach has achieved quite successful application to the practical problem of estimation the level of service.

Abstract:Set-Valued Statistics method belonged to fuzzy statistics was presented to evaluate the traffic safety of highways in mountainous area. Methods above-mentioned could effectively overcome shortcomings of the gravitation method and the expert judgment method that might result in low evaluation precisions for fuzzy and qualitative indices influenced on road safety in mountainous area. Firstly, evaluation indices system was established and weight was distributed to each influence factor, and then, Set-Valued Statistics was adopted to determine evaluation value, finally, safety evaluation results of the highways were elicited and main influence factors on traffic safety were confirmed. An application of the method provided here demonstrates that it can effectively solve the problem for traffic safety evaluation of the highways in mountainous area.

Abstract:Restricted by topography and geology conditions, traffic accidents often happen in mountain roads, especially under bad weather. So, a method is needed to evaluate the traffic safety of mountain road under bad weather. Through analyzing the factors that affect mountain road traffic safety in bad weather, the paper established traffic safety evaluation index system. The evaluation index system includes two layers evaluation indexes. There are 4 indexes in first layer, and 14 indexes in second layer. Then fuzzy comprehensive evaluation model was established by using fuzzy theory. At last, in order to prove the correctness of this model, the mountain road environment was supposed, and the model was used to evaluate the traffic safety of mountain road. The results showed that the model is validity.

Abstract:Evaluation for the city road traffic safety is a comprehensive subject.It is indispensable to improve the city road traffic safety and make the road traffic work smoothly.By using the method of principal component analysis(PCA),several main safety indexes are selected,and the safety coefficients of several different roads are calculated by the mathematics software.The bigger the value is,the more dangerous the road is.Comparing the result with the existing reference,in which using the method of Fuzzy Comprehensive Evaluation,the result validates the PCA is in availability,which is suitable for evaluating the rationality of transportation planning in a city area,and the PCA owns its advantages in some special occasions.

Abstract:In order to evaluate traffic operation safety of urban ice and snow road objectively, ice and snow pavement friction coefficient, visibility, following distance and snow-accumulated depth are chosen as evaluation indexes and their criteria are established. Evaluation indexes are weighted by using the improved entropy weight coefficient method, and then the model of fuzzy comprehension evaluation of traffic operation safety on urban ice and snow road is constructed. It is demonstrated through an example that the model has strong operability, and its result is relatively accurate. This model provides a theoretical basis for judging road traffic safety ranks objectively and formulating scientific policies and measures which can improve road traffic safety under ice and snow condition.

Abstract:Road administrator should understand the condition of road traffic facilities to improve traffic efficiency and ensure driving security. In the paper, a new evaluation method of road traffic facilities was proposed. By using fuzzy AHM (Analytic Hierarchy Model) method in synthesis evaluation, a reasonable safety evaluation model was established. First, the index system was established by comprehensively considering all kinds of facility attributes, including target layer—safety of road traffic facility, first level layer—4 parts of road traffic facility, second level layer—eighteen relevant indexes. Then the measure to judgment matrix was built on the combination of AHM and expert evaluation. The evaluation of what level the road traffic facilities belonged to was made out by the fuzzy mathematic. The feasibility and validity of the approach were verified by an engineering practice in the end and the advantages of the method proposed in this paper were pointed out.

Abstract:To assess the influence of traffic environment factors on the road safety quantitatively, a fuzzy consistent matrix method was proposed. The assessment matrix was established with the standard numbers of the road safety accidents on four similar sections of two highways that were assessment objects, and the in membership degrees of were figured out, then the road safety of all sections was evaluated. The assessment results show that the fuzzy consistent matrix method can be described quantitatively and its result is intuitive, being an effective method to assess quantitatively the influence of traffic environment on the road safety.

Abstract:This paper studied the problem of traffic jam of city road section by the fuzzy mathematics knowledge. On the basis of considering each factor of traffic jam of city road section by using relevant knowledge, the multilevel fuzzy evaluation of traffic jam of city road section was presented by information entropy. Brought forward countermeasure and method resolving city road section traffic jam, and analyzed with the actual example. It was applied to the practical evaluation of traffic jam of city road section in one city and some positive results were obtained.

Abstract:In order to improve a method on fuzzy comprehensive evaluation of road traffic safety in China.The focus is paid to determining the weight by a pairwise comparison matrix in fuzzy analytic hierarchy (FAHP) process.A weighting method based on triangular fuzzy numbers (TFN) is proposed.First, 9 indices of accident rate are determined based on an absolute index of traffic accidents and related factors, including people, vehicles, roads, etc.Second, a triangular fuzzy number is expressed as an interval concept.Unlike the traditional FAHP that used 1-9 integers and their reciprocal for weights determination, the upper and lower limits of the probability interval, and the maximum possible value of the whole range are set.Thereby the possibility of different parameters in the whole range is obtained.The effective information in the process of fuzzy evaluation is better reserved, so that evaluation results are more reasonable and accurate.Based on membership function, a judgment matrix and final fuzzy comprehensive evaluation method is developed.Taking the statistical data of 31 provinces, autonomous regions, and municipalities in China as a case study, the proposed method is applied to analyzing the macroscopic situations of traffic safety.According to the results, the proportion of areas with poor safety has been reduced from 87% to 6.5% during the past 10 years from 2005 to 2014, which reflects a great improvement of traffic safety in China.

Abstract:In order to effectively surrogate the traditional evaluation method based on the accident data, the calculation method of car-following safety distance including the membership function of weather condition in the microscopic fuzzy inference system for risk perception was improved. The whole road risk perception index was put forward to measure the total driving environment and the average risk evaluation indicator of rear-end collision was developed for macroscopic traffic flow. The value of the average risk indicator could be achieved by simulation of AIMSUN software. Then, the Fuzzy c-means cluster method was used to develop the criterion of the indicator. Therefore, the research results can provide a support for the early warning technology of traffic accidents.

Abstract:Having analyzed the characteristics of the traffic accidents and the factors influenced the road traffic safety,some objective indexes reflected the number and severity of the traffic accidents were chosen.Based on these indexes,the weights of them were determined by the analytic hierarchy process—the least square distance method.An index system contained the quantitative indexes for road traffic safety evaluation was suggested.Considering the drawbacks of some generally used evaluation approaches,a new approach which analyzed the vector of the statistics was proposed for road traffic safety evaluation on the basis of projection theory.Finally,a comprehensive evaluation of the road traffic safety condition in China was given on the basis of the approach.The evaluation results could be directly sorted.
