Abstract:Sports activities conducted in rural holidays and festivals are significant to the construction of a new countryside: they are important keys to breakthroughs in the construction of sports culture in new countrysides,and effective ways to strengthening communication between the government and the masses and between the masses;since their intrinsic features boosted the enthusiasm of peasants for participating in sports activities,they have effec-tively changed the bad life styles of peasants;they have the mission to carry on the culture while promoting con-sumption and boosting economic development.

Abstract:The unified development of mass sports in the urban and rural is an important content of construcitng harmonious society and an important way to people fitness.nowadays,There are disharmonious phenomena in the development of mass sports in the urban and rural such as paying attention to the city instead of village,thinking much of typical case while little of overall situation,putting too much emphasis on hardware but little on software and thinking much of the quantity at the expense of the quality.Existing strategies for development should,by taking rural as Strategic Emphasis and basing the bridge on sports in small towns,establish the development planning of mass sports in the urban and rural,set up a unified and coordinated masses sports governing bodies,carry out the integration of urban and rural sports activities,boost interactive development of mass sports in the urban and rural,and build a harmonious new pattern of urban and rural.

Abstract:In order to make a thorough research of the folk sports heritage in Xuzhou area,and to bring into play the function of folk sports in promoting the social development of this area,this paper makes an analysis of the characteristics,classification,existing forms and present status quo of the folk sports resouces in Xuzhou area,and provides some strategies.Though rich in folk sports resouces,Xuzhou area was slow in its pace of developing folk sports due to problems with exploitation,protection,and cultural awareness.The paper proposes to lead a industrializing road to enhance exploitation,arrangement,encrouragement of good variation,and digging up of cultural meanings.

Abstract:With the rapid social and economic development in recent years,villages and towns in China have undergone great changes,especially those located in the delta of Yangtze River where there has been a drastic economic boom.Many people in the rural villages have had an increasingly higher requirement for better living environment.However,due to a lack of planning guidance,most villages in China now appear to be cluttered and short of the inherent charm of traditional Chinese villages.Based on the project that the author has participated in to design and plan five typical new rural villages in Huzhou District(Zhejiang Province),this article focuses on some major contradictions and the corresponding solutions in the making of new-villages in Changxing and puts forward a new model for constructing villages for rural settlements there.It is hoped that this model will provide a new approach and experience for building new rural villages in China.

Abstract:Apart from being a residential place, the village in the scenic area is also part of the scenery.Consequently, it substantially differs from ordinary villages in spatial organization, economic structure, social relation, etc.By examining Longjing Village which is located in the West Lake Scenic Area in Hangzhou, this paper tends to analyze the evolution features in terms of land use, construction space, transport facilities, and social network.The paper also summarizes the contradictions between "village" and "scenery", and proposes the strategies that are aimed at the re-harmonization of "village" and "scenery", in the hope of facilitating the coordinated spatial development of the village and the West Lake Scenic Area and providing reference for the preservation and development of other residential communities in scenic areas.

Abstract:Through literature,logical reasoning and other methods,this paper elaborates the intension and the significance of coordinating sports culture development in urban and rural areas,and analyses the status and the reasons of the imbalanced development of sports culture in urban and rural areas.The results show:urban-rural dual structure model,the development gap between urban and rural economy,the development gap between urban and rural social undertakings and the development gap between urban and rural cultural and education are the main factors which impact the coordinated development of sports culture in urban and rural areas.It also puts forward some countermeasures which are expected to provide theoretical support and policy reference.

Abstract:Doing research about spontaneous sports groups of rural area is conductive to the organization and management of rural sports.Through using the methods of literature review,questionnaire investigation,case study and so on,this paper had sorted the magnificent developing path and the problem of spontaneous sports groups in Chinese rural area and concluded that the party's correct leadership and stable environment of politics and society determined the development and thriving of rural spontaneous sports organization,at same time,present existing problems is that its scale being small,interpersonal environment single,accessing to resources difficult,it shortage of daily activity site,guiding,backing up of the village committee,effective support of policies and regulations and so on.Given the reasons and countermeasures are as follows:to improve the system of laws and regulations gradually,strengthen supervision,registration and the building of community sports instructor,increase public awareness,get developing resources through a wide range of financing combined with entities.The rural sports organizations should develop through adopting the type of elite,leadership,enchants,and festivals,and the model of scattered,spontaneous,self-reliance and informal structure.

Abstract:Quality of life(QOL) intensively illustrates people's living standards.In fact,the construction of new socialist countryside can take rural residents' QOL as a starting point and a focus.Moreover,an evaluation of new countryside construction should be carried out in terms of their living standard so as to measure the achievements of the said construction.Therefore,rural residents' QOL has internal relations with the construction.The above-mentioned QOL is judged by a comprehensive evaluation system,which includes the contents of five aspects of economy,politics,culture,society and environment and their specific evaluation indices coupled with related weighting.The survey on 1 029 rural residents from different rural areas provides rural people's subjective cognition and wishes concerning the QOL,besides objective statistics.Based on the survey,some ideas and strategies are proposed regarding the major inhibiting factors and development potentials of new countryside construction that focuses on raising rural residents' QOL:(1) improving economic QOL to promote the production;(2) improving environmental QOL to ensure the cleanness and tidiness of the villages;(3) improving social QOL to foster life harmony;(4) improving cultural QOL to make the villages more civilized;and(5) improving political QOL to promote administration democracy.
