Abstract:The ð allevia*on ð pressure ð (AP) ð cushion ð is ð a ð dynamic ð cushion ð system ð with ð three ð bladders ð at ð the ð pelvic ð region. ð The ð bladders ð can ð be ð deflated ð and ð inflated ð in ð a ð certain ð sequence ð to ð relieve ð the ð pressure ð on ð the ð ischial ð tuberosi*es ð (IT) ð and ð coccyx/sacrum. ð The ð design ð of ð the ð foam ð base, ð bladder ð and ð pneuma*c ð and ð electronic ð system ð of ð the ð AP ð cushion ð is ð discussed ð in ð this ð paper. ð And ð tes*ng ð is ð conducted ð to ð verify ð the ð effec*veness ð of ð the ð AP ð cushion.
