It is also obtained conditions to strong homogeneity for singular sets by using the notion of infinitesimal Lyapunov functions. A Characterization of State Transfer on Double Subdivided Stars

Abstract:A subdivided star $SK_{1,l}$ is obtained by identifying exactly one pendant vertex from $l$ copies of the path $P_3.$ This study is on the existence of quantum state transfer on double subdivided star $T_{l,m}$ which is a pair of subdivided stars $SK_{1,l}$ and $SK_{1,m}$ joined by an edge to the respective coalescence vertices. Using the Galois group of the characteristic polynomial of $T_{l,m},$ we analyze the linear independence of its eigenvalues which uncovers no perfect state transfer in double subdivided stars when considering the adjacency matrix as the Hamiltonian of corresponding quantum system. Then we establish a complete characterization on double subdivided stars exhibiting pretty good state transfer.

Abstract:We introduce a notion of dual $n$-groupoid to a simplicial vector space for any $n\ge 0$. This has a canonical duality pairing which we show to be non-degenerate up to homotopy for homotopy $n$-types. As a result this notion of duality is reflexive up to homotopy for $n$-types. In particular the same properties hold for $n$-groupoid objects, whose $n$-duals are again $n$-groupoids. We study this construction in the context of the Dold-Kan correspondence and we reformulate the Eilenberg-Zilber theorem, which classically controls monoidality of the Dold-Kan functors, in terms of mapping complexes. We compute explicitly the 1-dual of a groupoid object and the 2-dual of a 2-groupoid object in the category of vector spaces. As the 1-dual of a groupoid object we recover its dual as a $\mathsf{VB}$ groupoid over the point.

Abstract:The authors introduce and investigate the various properties and characteristics of two subclasses Hn(α,β) and Hn+(α,β) of starlike functions of order β. In particular, several inclusion relations, Hadamard products, coefficient estimates, distortion theorems and covering theorems are proven here for each of these function classes. Furthermore, some interesting distortion theorems for the Srivastava–Saigo–Owa fractional integral operator are obtained. Some of the results, presented in this paper, generalize and extend the corresponding results of earlier authors.

Abstract:Wei's celebrated Duality Theorem is generalized in several ways, expressed as duality theorems for linear codes over division rings and, more generally, duality theorems for matroids. These results are further generalized, resulting in two Wei-type duality theorems for new combinatorial structures that are introduced and named {\em demi-matroids}. These generalize matroids and are the appropriate combinatorial objects for describing the duality in Wei's Duality Theorem. A new proof of the Duality Theorem is thereby given that explains the theorem in combinatorial terms. Special cases of the general duality theorems are also given, including duality theorems for cycles and bonds in graphs and for transversals.

Abstract:We define duality triples and duality pairs in compactly generated triangulated categories and investigate their properties. This enables us to give an elementary way to determine whether a class is closed under pure subobjects, pure quotients and pure extensions, as well as providing a way to show the existence of approximations. One key ingredient is a new characterisation of phantom maps. We then introduce an axiomatic form of Auslander-Gruson-Jensen duality, from which we define dual definable categories, and show that these coincide with symmetric coproduct closed duality pairs. This framework is ubiquitous, encompassing both algebraic triangulated categories and stable homotopy theories. Accordingly, we provide many applications in both settings, with a particular emphasis on silting theory and stratified tensor-triangulated categories.

Submitted.], based on the idea of image space analysis and abstract convexity, we proposed a uniform framework of conjugate duality for the constrained vector optimization problems. This paper aims to apply this framework to linear vector optimizations. With the aid of a special collection of separation functions, a set-valued dual problem, which was also derived by Heyde, Löhne, Tammer in [Heyde F, Löhne A, Tammer C. The attainment of the solution of the dual program in vertices for vectorial linear programs. In: Barichard V, Ehrgott M, Gandibleux X, T'Kindt V, editors. Multiobjective programming and goal programming. 2009. p. 13–24. (Lecture Notes in Economics and Mathematical Systems; 618).; Heyde F, Löhne A, Tammer C. Abstract:For a sufficiently adequate special case of the Dziok–Srivastava linear operator defined by means of the Hadamard product (or convolution) with a generalized hypergeometric function, the authors investigate several mapping properties involving various subclasses of analytic and univalent functions, which are introduced here. Relevant connections of the definitions and results presented in this paper with those in several earlier works on the subject are also pointed out.
A duality theorem for harmonic maps into inner symmetric spaces

Abstract:In this note, we show that for any harmonic map into a non-compact symmetric space one can find naturally a "dual" harmonic map into a compact symmetric space which can be constructed from the same basic data (called "potentials" in the loop group formalism). Locally also the inverse/converse duality theorem holds.

Abstract:Let $\mathcal{A}$ be a hyperplane arrangement in a complex projective space. It is an open question if the degree one cohomology jump loci (with complex coefficients) are determined by the combinatorics of $\mathcal{A}$. By the work of Falk and Yuzvinsky \cite{FY}, all the irreducible components passing through the origin are determined by the multinet structure, which are combinatorially determined. Denham and Suciu introduced the pointed multinet structure to obtain examples of arrangements with translated positive-dimensional components in the degree one cohomology jump loci \cite{DS}. Suciu asked the question if all translated positive-dimensional components appear in this manner \cite{Suc14}. In this paper, we show that the double star arrangement introduced by Ishibashi, Sugawara and Yoshinaga \cite[Example 3.2]{ISY22} gives a negative answer to this question.

Abstract:A nontrivial conformal vector field ω on an m-dimensional connected Riemannian manifold Mm,g has naturally associated with it the conformal potential θ, a smooth function on Mm, and a skew-symmetric tensor T of type (1,1) called the associated tensor. There is a third entity, namely the vector field Tω, called the orthogonal reflection field, and in this article, we study the impact of the condition that commutator ω,Tω=0; this condition that we refer to as the orthogonal reflection field is commutative. As a natural impact of this condition, we see the existence of a smooth function ρ on Mm such that ∇θ=ρω; this function ρ is called the proportionality function. First, we show that an m-dimensional compact and connected Riemannian manifold Mm,g admits a nontrivial conformal vector field ω with a commuting orthogonal reflection Tω and constant proportionality function ρ if and only if Mm,g is isometric to the sphere Sm(c) of constant curvature c. Secondly, we find three more characterizations of the sphere and two characterizations of a Euclidean space using these ideas. Finally, we provide a condition for a conformal vector field on a compact Riemannian manifold to be closed.

Abstract:In 1991, Wei proved a duality theorem that established an interesting connection between the generalized Hamming weights of a linear code and those of its dual code. Wei’s duality theorem has since been extensively studied from different perspectives and extended to other settings. In this paper, we re-examine Wei’s duality theorem and its various extensions, henceforth referred to as Wei-type duality theorems, from a new Galois connection perspective. Our approach is based on the observation that the generalized Hamming weights and the dimension/length profiles of a linear code form a Galois connection. The central result of this paper is a general Wei-type duality theorem for two Galois connections between finite subsets of $\mathbb {Z}$ , from which all the known Wei-type duality theorems can be recovered. As corollaries of our central result, we prove new Wei-type duality theorems for $w$ -demi-matroids defined over finite sets and $w$ -demi-polymatroids defined over modules with a composition series, which further allows us to unify and generalize all the known Wei-type duality theorems established for codes endowed with various metrics.
