Abstract:Objective:To analyze the challenges of scientific and technological achievements transformation in university-affiliated hospitals, and to provide suggestions.Methods:In-depth interviews were conducted with the management personnel and scientific research teams related to the transformation of scientific and technological achievements in six affiliated hospitals of Peking University from May 2019 to October 2020. Combined with the institutional documents and transformation project information of each hospital, thematic framework was used for data analysis.Results:Scientific research strength and policy guidance were the advantages of the transformation of scientific and technological achievements in the affiliated hospitals; while challenges still exists, such as lack of a holistic management system, inadequate incentive mechanism, lack of professional service institutions and teams, etc.Conclusion:The transformation of scientific and technological achievements should be carried out based on the characteristics university-affiliated hospitals by further enhancing systems and incentive mechanisms, taking technological achievements as performance indicators, and establishing a professional service organization and team to be engaged in the whole process of achievements transformation.
