Abstract:The present research wants to introduce our work in fire load which is the foundational data to the performance-based fire- fighting and design.While we do our work,we take the study of the characteristics of hotel and college-student dormitory building fire load as our research topic.As we know,when a fire accident occurs in a building,the duration of the fire and the distribution of the tempera- ture in the building is just a necessary condition to determine the fire- resistant property and separate the fire-insulated performance of the architectural components.However,there have not been efficient method for evaluating the definite values of fire load at home.The situation has made us nothing we can do but rely on resorting to cor- responding foreign methods while carrying out the performance-based fire protection project.Nevertheless,it is often the case differences in gap and inaccuracy that were to find in the results of evaluation due to the living conditions,life-style and the economic developmen- tal level between us and the western developed countries,which makes us see the need to develop our own fire load evaluation method.Since the survey of fire load in different function buildings has become one of the bottlenecks to restrict the development of the performance-based fire protection design at home,it is of urgent ne- cessity to give the Distribution Regularity of Fire Load in different function buildings suitable for China's situation through the investiga- tion and data-procession.Coming down to the fire load of hotel and college students' dormitory buildings,we take examples of the given kind in Tianjin and Hefei areas as our spot investigation and consult- ing document compiling as our case study sample in this paper.Based on the method of tile Lilliefors test of normality and the Q-Q proba- bility test of normality,the fire load of the hotel buildings and the students' dormitory buildings would like to are the lognormal distribu- tion and the gaussian distribution regularities respectively,as com- pared to the binomial distribution rules in other countries.And,fi- nally,the database of fire load in different function buildings has been established in Line with the current situation in China as a result of repetitive experimentation and statistical calculation in accordance with concrete different fire loads in situ.
