Abstract:The title compound [systematic name: 1-(7-isopropyl-1,4a-dimethyl-1,2,3,4,4a,9,10,10a-octahydrophenanthren-1-ylmeth- yl)-4,5-diphenyl-1H-imidazole], C35H40N2, was obtained via the one-pot three-component condensation of benzil, formaldehyde and dehydroabietylamine, which is a fungal toxin. The two substituent phenyl groups and the imidazole ring form a conjugated system. The dihedral angles between the imidazole ring and the phenyl rings are 70.18 (9) and 12.77 (12)degrees. In the crystal structure, there are one intramolecular and two intermolecular hydrogen-bonding C-H center dot center dot center dot pi contacts. Furthermore, a weak C-H center dot center dot center dot N intramolecular hydrogen bond is observed.

Abstract:The crystal structure of the title compound, C6H8N4S22+.-2C(6)H(7)N(4)S(2)(+.)4C(7)H(4)NO(4)(-), comprises diprotonated diaminobithiazole (DABT) dications located on inversion centers, monoprotonated DABT cations and nitrobenzoate anions. The relatively short C - N( amino) bond distances, ranging from 1.310 (2) to 1.350 (2) angstrom, indicate electron delocalization between the amino groups and thiazole rings. Intermolecular N - H (...) O and N - H (...) N hydrogen bonds stabilize the crystal packing.

Abstract:The title compound, [Ni(NCS)(C6H6N4S2)(CH4O)]Cl, consists of an Ni-II complex cation and a Cl- anion. The Ni-II complex has an octahedral coordination, with the isothiocyanate and methanol ligands in cis positions. The diaminobithiazole ligands are each nearly planar, but the Ni-II atom is out of the planes of the thiazole rings, the deviations ranging from 0.113 (5) to 0.389 (4) Angstrom.

Abstract:The title compound, C10H8BrN3OS2, a brominated di-thio-carbazate imine deriv-ative, was obtained from the condensation reaction of S-methyl-dithio-carbazate (SMDTC) and 5-bromo-isatin. The essentially planar mol-ecule exhibits a Z configuration, with the di-thio-carbazate and 5-bromo-isatin fragments located on the same sides of the C=N azomethine bond, which allows for the formation of an intra-molecular N-H⋯Ob (b = bromo-isatin) hydrogen bond generating an S(6) ring motif. In the crystal, adjacent mol-ecules are linked by pairs of N-H⋯O hydrogen bonds, forming dimers characterized by an R 2 2(8) loop motif. In the extended structure, mol-ecules are linked into a three-dimensional network by C-H⋯S and C-H⋯Br hydrogen bonds, C-Br⋯S halogen bonds and aromatic π-π stacking.

Abstract:The title compound, C37H37N3O5, was synthesized as a key intermediate in the total synthesis of d-biotin and was crystallized from 2-propanol. It contains one chiral center in the pyrrole ring, where the absolute configuration is known from the synthesis, and from which the two other chiral centers in the imidazolidine ring could be determined. An intramolecular O—H⋯O and intermolecular C—H⋯O hydrogen bonds help to construct the three-dimensional network.

Abstract:The title compound, C6H6N4S4, is formed through the thionato S-S bonding of parent 2-mercapto-5-methyl-1,3,4-thiadiazole molecules, following the deprotonation of thiol groups in a mixed solvent. The title compound crystallizes in the monoclinic system, space group C2/c. The S-S distance is 2.028 (1) Angstrom, typical of a single bond. The two 1,3,4-thiadiazole rings in the molecule each remain planar, with a dihedral angle of 70.5 (1) Angstrom, and are related by a twofold rotation axis through the middle of the S2-S2 bond. The geometric parameters for the parent ligand are also reported, to demonstrate the influence of deprotonation on the ligand dimensions.

Abstract:In the title compound, C(16)H(12)N(2)S(4), which is the result of the S-alkylation reaction of 2-mercaptobenzothiazole with ethylene dibromide, the planes of the two benzothiazole moieties form a dihedral angle of 3.84 (14) degrees. The bridging chain moiety, -SCH(2)CH(2)S-, adopts an antiperiplanar conformation. There are intermolecular S.S non-bonded contacts of 3.6471 (9) A, which stabilize the crystal packing.

Abstract:The title N,N-di-methyl-thio-hydantoin containing an N-methyl-ated pthalimide group, C14H12N4O3S, arose from an unexpected reaction in a deep eutectic di-methyl-thio-urea-tartaric acid solvent system. The mean planes of the ring systems are twisted at an angle of 73.84 (17)°. In the crystal, weak C-H⋯O hydrogen bonds connect the mol-ecules.

Abstract:The title compound, C23H16ClN3, has been synthesized by the reaction of 4,5-diphenyl-2-(2-nitro-5-chlorophenyl)imidazole with triethyl ortho-acetate, induced by a low-valent titanium reagent.
